Chapter 78

Lin Chen took the team and ran toward the depths of the passage, the middle-aged woman behind him putting away the communicator,

and quietly speeding up to follow.

Just as they turned a corner, the alarm on the top of the passage suddenly "beeped," the red warning light flashing non-stop,

and the system instantly popped up a prompt: 【Detected a large number of Experiment Guardians pouring in from the exit above the passage, totaling 50 people, carrying heavy weapons, having formed an encirclement.】

"No good!

There's an ambush!

" Lin Chen immediately stopped, letting everyone lean against the wall to form a defensive circle.

As soon as he finished speaking, footsteps came from the front and back, and the Experiment Guardians rushed over with guns,

firing frantically at the team. Zhao Qiang took the team members and held up shields to resist,

the bullets hitting the shields with "bang-bang" sounds, while Xia Nuan and A Kai counterattacked with Purple Lightning Purification Guns,

the current hitting a few guardians, instantly electrocuting them to the ground.

"How do these people know we are here?" Lin Chen, while mobilizing his Absolute Zero ability to freeze the bullets,

looked suspiciously at the three "survivors" behind him. The middle-aged woman's eyes dodged, not daring to look at him, and the old man hurriedly explained:

"We... we don't know either,

maybe the passage's alarm system was triggered." Lin Chen didn't pursue the question, the urgent priority now was to break through the encirclement.

Just as both sides were fighting fiercely, a cold breath suddenly came from the depths of the passage,

Lin Chen's heart tightened—it was the Ice Sickle General! He just wanted to warn everyone, when he saw a flash of white light,

the Ice Sickle General appeared in the middle of the Experiment Guardians holding its scythe, the scythe waving,

and a dozen guardians were instantly frozen into ice sculptures, then the ice sculptures shattered, scattering all over the ground.

"General? Why would you help us?

" Lin Chen was stunned, the Experiment Guardians were clearly He Shao's people. The Ice Sickle General didn't answer,

but turned to look at Lin Chen's team, its eyes full of killing intent. The system immediately popped up an emergency prompt: 【Ice Sickle General's target is the host and Dawn Squad members, the Experiment Guardians are clearing obstacles for it, it is recommended to evacuate immediately.】

"Run!" Lin Chen shouted, taking everyone and running to the other side of the passage.

The Ice Sickle General chased after them holding its scythe, its speed astonishing, catching up to the two Dawn Squad members covering the rear in just a few seconds, the scythe waving,

and the two fell to the ground, losing their breath. Lin Chen looked back, mobilized his Absolute Zero ability to shoot ice cones at the General, but they were easily blocked by the opponent's scythe.

"This won't work, we can't beat him at all!" Xia Nuan shouted while running,

her face full of anxiety. Lin Chen was also anxious, shouting at the system: 【Is there any way to deal with the Ice Sickle General? Give us the strongest weapons and equipment!】 【Detected that the host's crisis level has reached the highest, can activate "Plug-in Assistance" mode, issuing a full set of god-tier equipment (Riot God Armor, Demon-Breaking Weapons), do you agree?】

"Agree! Issue it immediately!"

Lin Chen answered without hesitation. The next second, beams of white light fell on everyone,

and everyone put on Riot God Armor glowing with golden light, and the weapons in their hands also turned into sharp Demon-Breaking Blades. 【God-tier equipment activated, can increase combat power by 10 times, lasting 30 minutes.】 As soon as the system prompt fell, Zhao Qiang rushed toward the Ice Sickle General holding a Demon-Breaking Blade: "I'll fight you to the death!"

The Ice Sickle General waved its scythe to block, the Demon-Breaking Blade and the scythe colliding, making a harsh metal friction sound.

Lin Chen, Xia Nuan, and A Kai also rushed up immediately, the four of them fighting the General. The god-tier equipment was indeed powerful, the armor that couldn't be penetrated before,

could now have marks made on it with the Demon-Breaking Blade, but the Ice Sickle General's combat power far exceeded their imagination,

and even when besieged by the four of them, it was still at ease.

Half an hour passed, Lin Chen and the four were covered in wounds, their faces full of blood, the God Armor full of cracks,

while the Ice Sickle General only had a few scratches on its armor, not even counting as superficial wounds.

"You all wait to die today!" the General spoke, its voice as hoarse as rusted iron, and it gripped the scythe tightly, the chill around its body instantly exploding, preparing to launch a fatal blow.

Lin Chen and the four were pale, having no strength to dodge at all. Just then, the top of the passage suddenly cracked open a light slit,

and a golden figure jumped down from the light slit—it was Golden Tiga! Tiga landed, blocked in front of Lin Chen and the four, and said to the Ice Sickle General: "I am here to protect humans, don't you even think about hurting them!"

"Tiga?" Lin Chen was both surprised and happy, not expecting someone to come and save them. Tiga turned and nodded to Lin Chen and the four,

then rushed toward the Ice Sickle General. The two fought together, Tiga's fists and light beams constantly hitting the General,

but the General's armor was abnormally hard, and it was always unable to cause a fatal injury. Instead, in the fierce battle,

the General caught Tiga's flaw, the scythe waving, and slashed Tiga's chest.

Tiga let out a muffled groan, the golden light beginning to dim, and he looked at Lin Chen and the four, saying weakly: "I... I can't protect you anymore,

you guys hurry and escape..." As soon as he finished speaking, the Ice Sickle General waved its scythe again, Tiga completely lost his strength, his body wrapped in cold air, instantly freezing into an ice sculpture.

"Tiga!"

Lin Chen shouted, tears almost falling. The General turned to look at them, raising its scythe again.

Lin Chen reacted immediately, shouting to everyone: "Hurry and use the flight skill! Escape back to the villa!" The four immediately activated the flight skill, flying toward the passage entrance,

the Ice Sickle General chased from behind, but was blocked by the falling rocks at the top of the passage.

Lin Chen and the four flew out of the underground passage, returned to Sky Dome Villa, and hurriedly closed the main gate, leaning against the door and panting heavily.

But before they could rest, the system suddenly popped up a prompt: 【Detected that the Shadow Organization's large army has arrived at the periphery of the villa, totaling 300 aircraft, 2000 vehicles, 100,000 people, having surrounded the villa.】

"How could the Shadow Organization come with so many people?" A Kai said in despair. Lin Chen just wanted to mobilize weapons for defense,

when he saw a white light flash outside the villa—the Ice Sickle General rushed in from outside, it didn't pay attention to Lin Chen and the four, but rushed directly out of the villa,

waving its scythe toward the Shadow Organization's large army. A huge ice blade flew out, aircraft and cars instantly split in two, and Shadow Organization members fell in rows,

in just a few minutes, 100,000 people were all killed by the General, leaving only corpses and wreckage all over the ground.

Lin Chen and the four stood at the villa entrance, looking at the scene before them, shaking all over. They didn't know,

why the Ice Sickle General would help them kill the Shadow Organization, and even less, what more terrifying enemies were waiting for them next. Just then, the system suddenly popped up an emergency prompt: 【Detected that the energy fluctuation in the core control room of No. 127 Laboratory has reached its peak, He Shao seems to be activating the "Global Ice Seal Program," expected to be completed in 1 hour.】
