Little Qiongqi looked utterly confused, then realized what was happening. It flapped its tiny wings, flew to Gu Yanqi's side, looked left and right, and even sniffed Gu Yanqi's scent.

"You two, let go so I can take a look."

He saw that even after Ning Chen stepped away, Gu Yanqi still showed no problems.

Little Qiongqi, in Gu Yanqi's arms, looked at Gu Yanqi, then at Ning Chen: "That's wrong. I clearly smelled this place's scent on him too; how could he be unaffected?"

Ning Chen walked away with no reluctance; if Little Qiongqi couldn't smell scents, it would probably still think the other person was unaffected.

Crossing the trees at the entrance, Ning Chen felt a heaviness on his body; the original feeling of happiness and comfort vanished instantly, leaving a hollow sensation in his heart.
