Chapter 1154: Discovering Survivors

Seeing everyone awake, Ning Chen started the car and headed toward City A.

All the way, Ning Chen was extremely cautious, afraid of missing anything.

What was puzzling, however, was that City A was as peaceful as could be; up to now, not a single infected had been found, though, of course, no living people had been found either.

After driving for two hours, Ning Chen glanced at the map; they hadn't even covered one-fifth of City A.

Ning Chen had thought City A might be somewhat large, but he hadn't expected it to be this big.

It seemed they would need another day or two to reach City F.

"Brother Ning, Brother Ning, since we can't get out all at once, may I make a request?" Lin Yi sat upright on the sofa, hand raised, looking exactly like a good student answering a question in school.

Ning Chen nodded, wanting to hear what Lin Yi had to say.

"Brother Ning, to be honest, the clothes on our RV are almost completely used up; we big men wear through things so fast, so I'd like to go to a supermarket and buy some clothes."

Using the map, Ning Chen set the car to autopilot and drove toward the supermarket.

When the group got out of the car and saw the supermarket before them, they all turned to look at Ning Chen with strange expressions.

It wasn't that they had never seen the world; rather, what stood before them was neither a big supermarket nor a small one—it was just a small shop.

Ning Chen also felt a headache; after all, though it was the RV's fault, it was indeed his choice.

Sensing the atmosphere was off, Lin Yi quickly stepped in to lighten the mood: "Oh well, this works too; let's just see what's inside and pack everything up to take with us."

Gu Yanqi came to her senses, nodded rapidly, and even looked at Ning Chen with a hint of caution, as if afraid she might accidentally hurt his little heart.

Ning Chen felt inclined to reflect: was this really the impression he usually gave everyone?

Glancing at the group, Ning Chen sighed helplessly and said, "Let's go in first and see what we need, then find a bigger supermarket."

The first to rush in was Lin Yi; he hurried inside, afraid that if he wasn't careful, Ning Chen might change his mind.

However, when Lin Yi reached the door, a problem arose: the door was locked.

"Why is it still locked! Jinglin, come help."

Facing Huo Jinglin walked over leisurely, gripped the doorknob, and after a crackling burst of electricity, the lock was instantly destroyed.

After confirming there was no residual electricity, Lin Yi gave Facing Huo Jinglin a thumbs-up and said with envy, "That's really convenient; how does it work? I'm so envious."

"Sigh, only I and Sister Yanqi have no abilities; it's so frustrating."

Ning Chen, who had just entered the store, heard Lin Yi's words and paused mid-step.

It seemed he had indeed forgotten to tell the two people in front of him that Yanqi already possessed an ability.

Facing Huo Jinglin looked at Ning Chen, as if confirming something.
