Chapter 1172: Rescuing Lin Yi

This was one of the few times Ning Chen felt a profound sense of powerlessness.

The voice drifted into the air and quietly into the heart of the person behind the door.

The door gradually opened a crack; Lin Yi looked at the person sitting on the steps with his back turned.

He wanted to cry.

The crack in the door gradually widened; Lin Yi stepped out from inside, tears streaming down his face, and sat beside Ning Chen.

Lin Yi simply let the tears flow silently, while Ning Chen said nothing, merely keeping him company.

After an unknown amount of time, Lin Yi said in a voice slightly hoarse from crying: "Brother Ning, you should go out; we will meet in a while."

Hearing these words, Ning Chen understood that Lin Yi had figured things out.

Ning Chen stood up, turned his head to look at the person behind him, and then extended his hand toward him.

Lin Yi smiled and placed his hand in Ning Chen's.
