Chapter 118

"It should be three first-place records."

There's another chart, and that's the comment count.

This video, at this point, can no longer display the comment count to users.

There's only a blurry 100,000+

100,000+ means at least a hundred thousand or more.

But exactly how many—110,000 is called 100,000+, 500,000 is also called 100,000+, and one million is also called 100,000+

What 100,000+ means is that this comment section has exploded!

As for trending topics, countless ones had already formed long ago, and they began spilling over wildly onto the entire platform.

#A long-overdue touch of emotion—how long has it been since you thought of someone? "Long Time No See," may life grant us another meeting~

#A certain streamer plays and sings at a bar—here's "Long Time No See," come listen~

#Would you fall in love with a city for the sake of a person? "Long Time No See" tells you~

#Douyin's hottest emotional single of the past 24 hours, "Long Time No See"~

#A lonely singer, a lonely guitar, a lonely city, "Long Time No See"……

……

And so, this song "Long Time No See," propelled by Douyin.

On this night, it completely blew up overnight.

As for the singer of this song, some people knew he was a streamer named Brother Shiguang on the Shark platform.

Some people didn't know, and kept asking around everywhere.

As for Douyin's side, presumably to avoid overly provoking the Shark platform, they also didn't excessively guide the public to know the streamer's name—of course, they didn't excessively cover it up either.

But the song really did catch fire.

And the ones most familiar with all of this.

Were naturally the fans of Brother Shiguang's livestream room on the Shark platform.

When these fans came out from Brother Shiguang's livestream room, they discovered that their streamer's song, "Long Time No See," had already gone viral across the entire internet.

Scrolling through short videos, one would pop up after just a little while, and large numbers of singing streamers had already begun covering it.

This blaze.

Reached its peak by midnight.

On the Shark platform, the homepage of Brother Shiguang's livestream room.

The follower count, on this night, directly broke past four million!

Four million followers!

From the very first livestream to the current four million followers, this streamer Brother Shiguang took a total of twenty-three days!

Not even a month!

Shark's official side.

Hearing Lan Ying, had gathered the operations department people.

One meeting, dragged on from a little past seven in the evening all the way until the small hours!

While holding the meeting, they watched helplessly as on Douyin's side, that short singing video of "Long Time No See," a fierce wave of popularity, began spreading across the internet!

This feeling, for the Shark staff.

Was maddening.

Their own streamer's premium content had actually been exploited by another platform!

"If you ask me, everything has to be blamed on this Brother Shiguang! We just can't get in touch with him! Even if we wanted to back him, there's no way to! And now, Douyin got there first and backed him!" a staff member complained.

Bang!

Lan Ying slammed the table.

Everyone shuddered.

"Can their Douyin actually get in touch with Brother Shiguang?!" Lan Ying's voice pierced everyone's eardrums on the spot, painfully……

"You lot! Every single day just sitting around so zen! Clearly Brother Shiguang has already been livestreaming on Shark for this many days, and even before that, he had already livestreamed two stunning check-in sessions, plus three great songs! What were you doing back then?! Every one of you, aside from eating your fill, just sat there waiting with your eyes wide open?!" Lan Ying was truly furious.

She really was furious.

Douyin had just discovered this one song, and poured everything they had into it, making the short video of this song completely break out of its circle tonight.

But what about her family's Shark!

Sitting on such a treasure of a streamer, for over half a month already!

So many excellent resources had clearly appeared, yet nothing was done at all!

Watching helplessly as Douyin came to snatch the food!

And now they still had the nerve to complain about not being able to reach Brother Shiguang!

Damn it—if you can't reach Brother Shiguang, why don't you all just go drop dead?!

It would be strange if she weren't furious!

"Young Lady Lan, please don't be angry……"

Beside her, a middle-aged man hurriedly tried to counsel her.

"Our Shark is, after all, different from Douyin when it comes to premium resources. Douyin's strength is short videos, and short videos do spread more easily—that's a fact. Our Shark's strength is livestreaming, which, compared to short videos, is indeed more confined within a fixed fan circle……"

"Besides, Brother Shiguang himself is far too low-key. He never saves replay videos for his fans either. All these reasons together led to us losing this round……"

Hearing the counsel, Lan Ying also gradually suppressed her anger and slowly calmed down.

"Right now, we must have a sense of crisis."

"Essentially, this is a loss for our Shark, but it has nothing to do with the streamer Brother Shiguang."

"For streamer Brother Shiguang, no matter which platform fights to promote him, it is a great benefit with a hundred advantages and no single harm to him!"

"But for us at Shark, it is not so simple!"

"It is not too late to mend the fold after the sheep is lost."

"Since things have already come to this, there is no other way."

Hearing Lan Ying looked at everyone and sighed.

"From now on, the entire Shark must take this matter seriously."

"Starting tomorrow, streamer Brother Shiguang will be directly elevated to the first tier of Shark platform streamers!"

"Treat him according to the highest resource standards for first-tier streamers on the entire platform! Even higher!"

"Do not talk to me about whether he is a new streamer! Regarding whether he is a new streamer, everyone should now have a clear idea in their hearts!"

"This streamer can no longer be judged by the standard of whether he is a new streamer."

Just as she said this.

The door to the conference hall was suddenly pushed open.

It was Hearing Lan Ying's female assistant, "Young Lady Lan!"

"Deal with matters later!" Hearing Lan Ying did not turn around, only waved her hand.

"No—Young Lady Lan," the female assistant looked somewhat panicked, "that, streamer Brother Shiguang, now, he is singing in his live broadcast room."

Hearing Lan Ying was stunned.

The entire conference hall fell silent.

At the very front of the conference hall, there was a large clock.

Displayed above, at this moment, it was one o'clock in the morning.

85. (2/7) With You (Requesting Monthly Tickets and Self-Subscription)

Early morning.

Brother Shiguang's live broadcast room.

The number of online viewers had dropped from the previous peak of one million to two hundred and thirty thousand.

The viewers remaining in the live broadcast room were mostly night owls.

Either keeping Brother Shiguang's live broadcast room open while doing other things.

Or, in the live broadcast room, treating this place as a chat base, chatting about other things.

Also chatting about streamer Brother Shiguang, who had been sitting by the lake, seeming to be asleep.

Some bullet comments even said the streamer had really fallen asleep.

Being able to fall asleep on a night in early November on the Tibetan Plateau, aren't you afraid of freezing to death?
