Chapter 1369

"Fog will rise here in a moment; be careful." Ning Chen softly conveyed the message to Gu Yanqi and Miss Hongxiu on his person.

The woman named Xu Zhiyao, sitting not far from them, also looked upward, appearing to have discovered something.

Ning Chen glanced at her as if by accident, feeling slightly wary in his heart; it seemed she could see the fog above.

Either she was also a cultivator, or she possessed special abilities; in either case, it could only mean she was absolutely not simple, at least not as simple as she appeared or claimed herself to be.

Indeed as Ning Chen had said, within an hour, the surroundings were already enveloped by fog; one could say the fog's density was such that beyond three meters, man and beast could not be distinguished.

And throughout the entire surroundings, only the flames burned unaffected, making crackling sounds.

The fog immediately affected many people's moods; already quite a few were grumbling and cursing.

"Damn it, what the hell is this thing?"

"Why is there fog here? Could there be poison in this fog? I don't want to die yet."

The surrounding fog grew thicker and thicker; gradually, everyone could only see those standing close by; if others did not speak, they could not hear them at all.

"This fog is getting thicker; should we still stay here?"

"I think it would be better to go out and take a look; I feel this place is too eerie."

"I agree, let's go, let's go, I'm coming too!"

"If we go, I'm coming too; let's hurry, I'm too scared here."

Suddenly, several people discussed leaving this place, and their conversation grew quieter and quieter; they must have gone out to explore.

Ning Chen said nothing and made no move, because according to his intuition, going out might not be very safe.

"Is anyone still here?"

After an unknown amount of time, someone suddenly shouted a sentence.

"Yes, yes, there are."

"Did the few people who just go out not return? Could something have happened to them?"

The person who spoke first opened his mouth with slight worry.
