Chapter 19

"Our national astronomy circle will have three months to prepare!"

"Three months to prepare…"

"This matter… no matter what, must be kept secret!"

"But… he's already livestreamed it out…"

"But it doesn't matter… the ones who know about this are just ordinary viewers…"

"They won't take this kind of talk seriously… oh no no, I'm not saying I have to take it seriously either, of course we'll also look at it very rigorously… of course we won't just believe one streamer's one-sided account…"

"But we can have three months to prepare…"

"Foreign colleagues — we can't let them know we attach such importance to this matter… they certainly won't care about a streamer's viewpoint, and they probably won't even notice this incident at all…"

"This is a good thing… a good thing indeed, we can use these three months to quietly prepare all the observation and research work, and when the time comes… hehe."

Watching this old man pace back and forth on the spot as if no one else were around.

Listening to his muttering, anyone watching would surely think he had gone mad.

Yet what he was concerned about was the development and future of this nation's astronomical enterprise.

What he cared about was making the Eastern Nation's astronomical research walk at the forefront of the world.

For a moment, the others, watching this little old man pacing in circles on the spot like an ant on a hot pan, felt both like laughing and found him endearing, yet also could not help but regard him with solemn respect…

And at the same time, another thought also lingered in everyone's mind.

That streamer called Did Ning Chen.

In the end, what kind of person was he?

How could he possibly manage to…

The bullet comments in the livestream room.

Were still immersed in the sentence Ning Chen had suddenly blurted out moments ago.

Online viewers: five hundred and thirty thousand!

Two staff members at the Shark Platform backend.

At this moment, both were staring at the data of Brother Shiguang's livestream room.

Just now, the two of them had given this livestream room a small warm-up-style recommendation.

The Shark Platform had a small real-time trending list.

Although this small list couldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the big trending list.

It would, in a continuously scrolling form, sweep across the platform's homepage once every minute.

Precisely because it could appear on the homepage, it had also become a hotly contested prize that many streamers fought over.

And just now, the staff had let Brother Shiguang's livestream room hang on this small recommendation for a bit.

To be precise, not even a minute.

Forty-something seconds at most.

But it was precisely these forty-something seconds of screen time that directly brought over a hundred thousand in traffic to the livestream room!

Both staff members were also utterly stunned.

Looking at the livestream room's current online count of around five hundred thousand.

They could be certain that, in the history of the Shark Platform, this had never happened before.

A new streamer, without even speaking, could reach this level within just these few short days.

This was enough to show that, as long as he was given a big recommendation in the future.

This guy would absolutely be able to take off on the spot!

And right at this moment, someone suddenly called out:

"Everyone! Attention attention! Looks like there's another explosive point! Look at that Brother Shiguang livestream room, quick!!"

Hearing this, several staff members turned their heads in unison to look at the livestream.

But they saw.

In Brother Shiguang's livestream room, that streamer Brother Shiguang.

At some unknown point, had actually jumped down from the RV.

Toward the front — and started sprinting!

On the screen, in the night sky directly ahead, that fireball meteor!

Was streaking across the Donghua Tianyu toward the distance!

The way he was… actually…

Seemed to be chasing that fireball meteor?!.

17. Those meteors — are they very important to him?

On Bashan.

The mountain where the RV was parked.

Was one of the countless peaks of Bashan.

Bashan stretched from south to north for several hundred kilometers.

Ning Chen jumped down from the RV.

And began sprinting toward the front..

Earlier, after successfully checking in.

He had obtained an "Extreme Sprint" reward.

And at this moment, watching that fireball meteor above the Donghua Tianyu streak toward the distance.

He suddenly sprinted forward.

No one knew why he suddenly wanted to do this.

How could a single person possibly catch up to a meteor in the sky?

But it didn't matter.

He could run past this hilltop, to the next hilltop ahead.

Beyond that hilltop, there were more hilltops.

As long as he stood forever on a hilltop, the height he occupied would remain within his field of vision.

One hilltop.

Two hilltops.

Three hilltops...

In the night sky ahead.

That fiery meteor was getting farther and farther from him.

And following that dazzling fiery meteor were fewer and fewer Perseid meteors.

But they too were moving farther away from Did Ning Chen.

Did Ning Chen knew.

This magnificent meteor shower was nearing its end.

He could clearly hear his heart beating wildly, his breathing growing heavier, and his vision jolting continuously from the running.

At first.

The viewers in the live stream.

Seeing the streamer suddenly sprinting forward.

Were still saying all sorts of things in the bullet comments.

【Ah ha? Brother Shiguang is awesome, running at night out here in the middle of the night?】

【Wow, Brother Shiguang, what kind of gear is this? It can actually keep the camera following your run?】

【The camera is a bit shaky, but less shaky than I imagined; it seems to have some anti-shake design.】

【Brother, this portable camera gear is awesome too.】

【You guys are night-running in car exhaust, while Brother Shiguang is night-running in the wild; in the end, Brother Shiguang is the one teaching us what life is...】

【Running at night on Bashan like this, that's way too bold...】

【I heard ghost fires are common on the mountains at night...】

【Ghost fires aren't scary; what's scary is wolves. I heard there really are wolves on Bashan!】

Thus, the bullet comments were full of various opinions.
