Chapter 1928: We Did It
While Yang Ruoyun was busy, she overlooked her father's death. Only two years later, when she occasionally heard people talking, did she learn that her father had died. Her mother also passed away due to severe injuries.
It turned out her parents had been killed by a truck while saving her. At the time, she was participating in a competition with classmates. The truck driver, seeing the accident and fleeing, deliberately dodged her, nearly crushing her under the truck. Her parents desperately pushed her out but could not save themselves.
Yang Ruoyun was overwhelmed with grief and rage, wishing to rush to the Heilong Gang immediately to take revenge on those murderers. However, before she could set out, a fire broke out.
The inheritance her parents left her was all burned to ashes.
Yang Ruoyun cried herself into unconsciousness. When she woke up, she had become cold and ruthless. She firmly believed the Heilong Gang had killed her parents, and she vowed to take revenge on those villains!
Yang Ruoyun began searching for various pieces of evidence, even spending money to hire a private detective to tail the Heilong Gang boss. Finally, one day, she uncovered criminal evidence against the Heilong Gang boss, and through connections, she obtained those documents.
She prepared to hand them over to the police immediately, but unexpectedly discovered she was pregnant.
She could not believe this result, but she soon noticed her belly growing larger. Moreover, the hospital confirmed her pregnancy, and the father of the child turned out to be... Li Hao.
This result completely shattered Yang Ruoyun. She was in immense pain, yet unwilling to accept this outcome. She did not want Li Hao's child, yet she could not resist stroking her belly every night.
She could not abort the child; after all, the child was innocent.
Yang Ruoyun decided to give birth to the child and raise him. Because she knew that if the child did not exist, Li Hao would definitely abandon her. Although she loved Li Hao, without him, she simply could not go on.
She worked while caring for the child and also had to keep up with her studies. Yet her grades remained excellent; after all, Gao San studies were intense, and the fact that she could handle them easily proved she was extremely intelligent.
Moreover, she usually enjoyed singing and dancing, possessing an exceptional figure and high level of dance skill, so her career went smoothly. Soon, she won an international award thanks to her outstanding music and dance. Her popularity soared rapidly, reaching heights never seen before or since.
With her superb acting skills and exquisite performance, she won the favor of many directors, and eventually debuted as a famous singer.
She was a winner in life!
Yet she could not forget the fact of her parents' tragic death; her entire mind was focused on seeking revenge against the Heilong Gang. She had once sent people to secretly investigate the Heilong Gang, but found no clues.
Later, she learned the Heilong Gang headquarters was in Australia. She tried every possible way to go to Australia to find clues. Unfortunately, she returned disappointed.
Later, she married a wealthy man and owned property and an estate in Australia. That wealthy man, facing financial difficulties with his company, divorced his wife. Yang Ruoyun took the opportunity to seize all the couple's assets, including that house and several thousand pounds in savings.
She placed the bankbook in a drawer, telling no one, not even Li Hao. She feared that if these things fell into the hands of the Heilong Gang, they would target Li Hao and others again.
On the night of her twenty-seventh birthday, Yang Ruoyun invited Li Hao to her new home to celebrate her birthday. As they enjoyed a meal together at the dining table, savoring each other's company, Yang Ruoyun decided to tell Li Hao about her past.
Yang Ruoyun: "Li Hao, I want to tell you something. My parents died saving me."
Li Hao: "What? How did this happen?"
Yang Ruoyun: "At the time, I was participating in a competition with classmates when a truck killed my parents. They desperately pushed me out, but could not save themselves."
Li Hao: "That's too cruel! You must have been in great pain."
Yang Ruoyun: "Yes, I was overwhelmed with grief. I firmly believe the Heilong Gang killed my parents. I have been searching for evidence, wanting to avenge them."
Li Hao: "Did you find any?"
Yang Ruoyun: "Yes, I found some evidence. But just as I was preparing to hand them to the police, I discovered I was pregnant."
Li Hao: "That's too unexpected! Will you consider..."
Yang Ruoyun: "I considered it, but I know I cannot give up this child. This child needs me, and I need him."
Li Hao: "You decided to give birth to the child?"
Yang Ruoyun: "Yes, I will raise him. And I cannot let the Heilong Gang continue to go unpunished."
Li Hao: "I support you! We will face the challenges of the future together."
Yang Ruoyun: "Thank you, Li Hao. I hope we can always be together."
Li Hao: "We will. We will always be together."
That night, Yang Ruoyun and Li Hao were completely open with each other, facing the challenges of the future together. Although Yang Ruoyun's past was filled with pain and sorrow, she firmly believed the future would be better, as long as she had Li Hao's companionship and support. Yang Ruoyun took a deep breath, striving to suppress her grief and anger deep in her heart. She said to Li Hao, "I understand. No matter what difficulties I face, I must be strong. I cannot let my parents' sacrifice be in vain."
Li Hao held Yang Ruoyun's hand, looking at her with determined eyes: "I will be by your side, accompanying you through all of this. No matter what happens, we will face it together."
Yang Ruoyun nodded slightly, her eyes flashing with determination: "I know. Thank you, Li Hao."
Days passed, and Yang Ruoyun gradually emerged from her grief. She became stronger and understood her goals more clearly. She decided to avenge her parents and make those thoroughly evil Heilong Gang members pay the price.
One night, Yang Ruoyun and Li Hao sat at home, quietly enjoying each other's company. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Yang Ruoyun frowned, looking at Li Hao in confusion: "Who could it be?"
Li Hao shrugged, signaling Yang Ruoyun to open the door. Yang Ruoyun walked to the entrance, opened the door, and found her private detective. He handed Yang Ruoyun an envelope, then left.
Yang Ruoyun returned to the sofa, opened the envelope, and found a document containing criminal evidence against the Heilong Gang and a letter inside. The letter read: "If you wish to avenge your parents, come to the address on this letter to find me."
Yang Ruoyun looked at the letter, her heart filled with confusion and tension. She did not know whether she should go meet that person, nor whether she could endure the pain of reopening old wounds. But she knew she must go. For her parents, for her own future, she had to face all of this.
Li Hao saw the expression on Yang Ruoyun's face and knew her inner struggle. He tightly held her hand: "Go ahead. I will wait for you here."
Yang Ruoyun took a deep breath and nodded. She decided to meet that person and uncover the truth of everything. And no matter the outcome, she would not be alone, because she had Li Hao's support and companionship. Yang Ruoyun followed the address on the letter and arrived at a remote bar. She entered a private room and found a middle-aged man sitting inside; it was the boss of the Heilong Gang.
He smiled at Yang Ruoyun: "You have finally come."
Yang Ruoyun looked straight into his eyes: "I am here. Will you tell me the truth?"
The Heilong Gang boss nodded: "Yes, I hope you can understand the truth. Your parents were the people I respected most. They died saving you. I can never make up for this regret."
Listening to his apology, Yang Ruoyun's heart was filled with sorrow and anger. But she knew she needed to stay calm and not let emotions control her.
The Heilong Gang boss continued: "I know my gang members have done many bad things, and I know they must take responsibility for their actions. If you are willing, I can help you find evidence to bring them to justice."
Yang Ruoyun remained silent for a moment, then nodded: "Alright, I will consider it."
She turned and left the private room, returning to Li Hao's side. Looking at him, her heart was filled with gratitude and love. No matter what difficulties and challenges the future might bring, she knew that with Li Hao by her side, she could walk on strongly.
Li Hao looked at her and asked gently: "How is it? Are you okay?"
Yang Ruoyun nodded: "I'm fine. It's just that there are still many things to do in the future."
Li Hao tightly held her hand: "We will face it together. No matter what happens, we will be together."
Yang Ruoyun looked at him, smiled, and nodded. She knew that with Li Hao by her side, she could face anything. And her parents would be watching her from heaven, proud of her. Yang Ruoyun took a deep breath, then turned to look at Li Hao: "I think I know what to do next."
Li Hao raised his eyebrows: "Oh? What do you plan to do?"
Yang Ruoyun bit her lower lip: "I will find evidence and expose the Heilong Gang's crimes. I will avenge my parents."
Li Hao frowned: "This is very dangerous. You must be careful."
Yang Ruoyun nodded: "I know. But I do not want to escape anymore. I need to do something for my parents."
Li Hao looked at Yang Ruoyun, his eyes flashing with determined light: "I will support you. No matter what you do, I will be by your side."
Yang Ruoyun looked at Li Hao, moved: "Thank you, Li Hao."
In the days that followed, Yang Ruoyun and Li Hao worked together to find evidence. With the help of a private detective, they gradually uncovered the crimes of the Heilong Gang. Every discovery made Yang Ruoyun's heart more resolute. She knew that as long as she persisted, she could avenge her parents.
One night, Yang Ruoyun and Li Hao met the leader of the Heilong Gang in a bar. He handed Yang Ruoyun a USB drive containing evidence of the Heilong Gang's crimes. He also said that if Yang Ruoyun was willing, he could help her turn the evidence over to the police.
