Chapter 1935: Plan
The subordinate stood respectfully aside: "Young Master is wise!"
Gu Tao nodded in satisfaction: "Keep watching them." After speaking, he took the newspaper and went upstairs.
At three o'clock in the early morning the next day, in the police station interrogation room, Li Hao and Yang Ruoyun were shackled with cold iron chains to the interrogation chairs. Li Hao closed his eyes and said not a word.
The interrogator asked: "Li Hao, please confess honestly. Who hired you to kill Zhang Zhiqiang's wife and child? Do you have accomplices?"
Li Hao opened his eyes and said mockingly: "Why would I kill Zhang Zhiqiang's wife and child? Do you think I have the guts?"
The interrogator said: "Did you take someone's money to do this for them?"
Li Hao said: "I did not take money. I do not even know Zhang Zhiqiang, let alone take money to do a job."
The interrogator said: "I advise you to confess honestly. As far as I know, after Zhang Zhiqiang's wife and child died, Zhang Zhiqiang once suspected you of hiring someone to kill them."
Li Hao sneered: "That guy is truly pitiful. He was cheated out of everything, yet he cannot solve a single murder case, and instead turns the blame on me. Do you think his brain is broken?"
The interrogator said sternly: "Do not play around. We demand your confession."
"Confess to what? His false accusations against me are enough for a conviction already," Li Hao said impatiently. "Do you have anything else? If not, I should go to sleep."
The interrogator said: "You must admit that you intentionally killed Zhang Zhiqiang and his wife! Only then can your sentence be reduced."
"Why can't you understand human speech? If I don't admit to the crime he falsely accused me of, does that mean he is innocent? Am I an idiot?"
The interrogator, furious, roared: "You are simply being unreasonable! You still dare to argue!"
"What am I arguing about? They framed me. I am not a masochist. I don't even bother with them. Do whatever you want."
Seeing that Li Hao would not yield to either soft or hard tactics, the interrogator, overcome with rage, took out a stun baton, preparing to electrocute Li Hao until he fainted. The baton stabbed into Li Hao's chest at once, and Li Hao fell onto the chair, unconscious.
The interrogator breathed a sigh of relief: "Finally done. This Li Hao is truly troublesome."
At this moment, another interrogator said: "Something is wrong! There is a strange smell in his blood."
The interrogator leaned in to sniff: "Eh, it smells like sulfur! This is sulfuric acid!" He immediately dialed a phone to call for rescue. Unfortunately, by then Li Hao had already fainted, and black filth was flowing from the corner of his mouth. He had died of poisoning.
This news quickly spread throughout the entire police station. Gu Tao also heard this bad news. After staring blankly for a long time, he suddenly threw his head back and laughed loudly: "Li Hao, do not blame me! Blame yourself for not knowing how to accept favors and insisting on fighting me!"
"Hey, wife, it's Ah Tao. I've turned that Li Hao into a vegetable! Haha, I'm so happy," Gu Tao said excitedly.
"What? Ah Tao, how can you act so recklessly? Are you crazy? My parents will be heartbroken."
"No, if I don't say I did it, how could they possibly know? Besides, they are already gone."
After hanging up the phone, Gu Tao called an old friend: "Boss Liu, it's me, Ah Tao."
"Oh, it's Gu Tao. What have you been busy with lately? Why haven't I heard you say you're coming to play? Are you that busy? Oh my, look at this, what is this thing? Such a fragrant smell."
"Hehe, nothing special. This is medicinal wine I made specifically for you, specially for treating your cervical spondylosis."
"Oh, then I won't be polite. I'll come to your shop to find you another day."
"No problem."
After hanging up the phone, Gu Tao revealed an evil smile: "Li Hao, rest assured. I will definitely take good care of you. I hope you don't thank me."
Gu Tao ordered his subordinate: "Take good care of that Li Hao. Wait for my call."
The subordinate replied respectfully: "Yes, Young Master."
Gu Tao, satisfied, put down the phone and began to ponder how to eliminate Zhang Zhiqiang without anyone knowing. He planned to create an accident, causing Zhang Zhiqiang to die a violent death. This way, he could preserve his own reputation and avenge his father.
In the following days, Gu Tao secretly investigated Zhang Zhiqiang's whereabouts and preferences. He discovered that Zhang Zhiqiang loved swimming very much, so he began to plan a "accidental" swimming accident.
He first sent an anonymous letter to Zhang Zhiqiang, claiming he could provide a secret passage leading to the open sea, allowing Zhang Zhiqiang to swim to his heart's content. After receiving the letter, Zhang Zhiqiang contacted Gu Tao very quickly. Gu Tao then invited him to a remote beach, saying he would take him into that secret passage.
When Zhang Zhiqiang arrived at the beach, Gu Tao was waiting for him. He led Zhang Zhiqiang through a dense jungle to a desolate beach. There were no tourists and no boats here, only waves crashing against the shore.
Gu Tao said: "This is the secret passage leading to the open sea. You can swim here to your heart's content."
Zhang Zhiqiang excitedly took off his clothes and jumped into the sea. He swam very freely, as if all his troubles had floated away with the waves. However, when he swam to a place far from the shore, he suddenly found he could not swim back to the shore. He began to scream for help in terror, but the sound of the waves was too loud, and no one could hear his voice.
Gu Tao watched Zhang Zhiqiang struggle in the sea with ease, a cruel smile appearing on his face. He silently chanted in his heart: "Li Hao, do you see this? This is your fate! I will make you taste the pain of losing loved ones!"
Finally, Zhang Zhiqiang, exhausted, sank to the bottom of the sea and never floated up again. Gu Tao watched his body sink into the sea and said coldly: "Li Hao, rest assured. I will definitely make you pay the price."
After returning home, Gu Tao felt extremely happy. He felt he had finally avenged his father and could finally live a peaceful life. However, he did not realize that his crimes had already begun to slowly expose themselves.
In the following days, Gu Tao's subordinates began to disappear one by one. At first, Gu Tao did not pay attention, but when he discovered that all his subordinates had disappeared, he began to feel fear. He did not know what was going on, nor did he know who was playing tricks behind the scenes.
And in the police station, the police also began to investigate this strange disappearance case. They discovered that all the missing people were Gu Tao's subordinates, and the last place they appeared was a remote beach. Thus, the police began to suspect that these disappearances were related to Gu Tao.
Gu Tao began to feel anxious and fearful. He knew his crimes would soon be exposed. So, he began to consider how to escape punishment. He thought of a method: create an accident to cause his own death. This way, he could escape punishment.
So, he began to plan an "accidental" traffic accident. He planned to install a time bomb in his car; when the car started, the bomb would explode. This way, he could end his own life without anyone knowing.
However, before he implemented this plan, the police had already found his tracks. They came to Gu Tao's home, preparing to arrest him. Gu Tao felt extremely terrified; he knew he could no longer escape punishment. So, he decided to implement his plan and end his life in vain.
