Chapter 33: Yin at its Extreme Gives Birth to Yang

……

"Another world?"

Spending about half an hour, Lv Cheng roughly explained the current situation to Luo Pei, including his accidental entry into Demon Hell, and then, in order to protect world peace, his self-sacrificing act of signing a contract with the demons to release them.

And now, to prevent the world from being destroyed by these demons, he needs Luo Pei to help him control these demons using a safer method.

"A contract? You signed a contract with the demons?"

Luo Pei's expression shifted slightly; he extended his right hand and drew several golden spell talismans in the air in front of Lv Cheng.

"Don't be nervous, I'm checking what the demons have done to you."

Lv Cheng did not resist either, standing quietly and letting the golden talismans in front of him stick to his head.

Luo Pei could not harm him; as the source of the Rat Talisman's Magic Power, he could stop this "Turn Static into Dynamic" Magic Spell whenever he wanted, turning Luo Pei back into stone.

"This..." Luo Pei's expression tightened.

"You've been deceived!"

Lv Cheng was stunned, "Deceived? What do you mean?"

Luo Pei took a deep breath, and a burst of green Qi Magic erupted from his body, expelling the soul of Shendu from Lv Cheng's body.

"It's useless even if you've discovered it; you cannot stop me," Shendu mocked.

"What did he do?" Lv Cheng asked in confusion.

Luo Pei took out a blank scroll from his person, and while writing on it with Qi Magic, he said, "The contract you signed with the demons is incomplete; in fact, this contract itself is flawed."

"Originally, the Immortal God Qi on your body could prevent Demon Qi from invading your soul, but through your contract with the demons, you actively accepted the demons' power."

"Those Demon Qi are currently changing your soul."

Luo Pei stood up with a solemn expression and stuck the completed magic scroll onto Lv Cheng's forehead; the next instant, the scroll dissipated into particles of light.

"Changing?" Lv Cheng looked confused.

"Changing into what?"

Luo Pei took a deep breath, "This cunning demon divided his own Demon Qi and, through the previous contract, distributed it onto you; in a sense..."

"You will become my child," Shendu laughed.

"..."

"Huh?" Lv Cheng looked bewildered.

Luo Pei sighed deeply and explained, "The Yin-Yang Balance Contract is extremely dangerous. It is a Magic Spell from the ancient era. A certain Wizard accidentally discovered that the world they lived in possessed a certain rule. Based on that rule, the Wizard created a Magic Spell, but after thousands of years, the parts passed down are already incomplete."

"This Magic Spell is highly unstable. Yin and Yang are not eternal; they are constantly transforming into one another. Good people will turn bad, and bad people will turn good."

"I once obtained a part of this Magic Spell. Based on it, I developed a new Magic Spell, combining the Twelve Spells taken from the demons with Righteous Magic to turn it into a buffer between Yin and Yang."

"And then your world enjoyed a thousand years of stability," Shendu's eyes flashed with rampant red light.

Just because of that damned Magic Spell of Luo Pei's, even his soul was trapped in a stone statue, unable to leave!

Because his Spells were positioned between Yin and Yang, this power was too great, and since anyone could use it, the Yin and Yang of the human world were in an uncertain state!

Yin-Yang Balance, yet not balanced!

Therefore, there is no need for Yin, nor is there a need for Yang.

This damned spell that Luo Pei created restricted both Yin and Yang!

In that bizarre state, the Yin and Yang of the entire human world were constantly clashing and transforming; after a thousand years, not even Wizards were left.

In human terms, Luo Pei ushered in the End of Dharma Era!

"So... what does this have to do with me becoming Shendu's second child?" Lv Cheng asked in confusion.

"Because you are weak," Luo Pei said.

"The Magic Spell I used previously belonged to a power that simultaneously weakens Yin and Yang, while this contract the demons used on you is the opposite, and it lacks the restrictive parts."

"I think you should use some simple, easy-to-understand words to tell him," Shendu said.

Lv Cheng nodded, "You're right, I'm illiterate."

Luo Pei paused, "Simply put, the stronger you become, the stronger the demons will become, and this Magic Spell has been tampered with; you will only get stronger and stronger, never weaker."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Lv Cheng said.

"Good?" Luo Pei extended both hands, condensing a Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram.

"Watch closely."

As Luo Pei outputted his Magic Power, the Taiji Diagram began to rotate at an accelerating speed.

"Tai means the One, Ji means the limit; Taiji is the state of the world before it was opened, before chaos had separated into Yin and Yang."

"Taiji gives birth to Two Forms, Four Symbols give birth to Eight Trigrams, Six Paths of Reincarnation, Two Forms give birth to Four Symbols, the Three give birth to all things, the Three Good Paths and Three Evil Paths, the Five Elements generate and overcome each other; when things reach an extreme, they reverse, and after the nadir comes the zenith."

"Yin at its extreme gives birth to Yang, Yang at its extreme gives birth to Yin; when Yin and Yang merge as one, all things return to the end!"

Boom!

As soon as the words fell, the rapidly rotating Taiji Diagram in Luo Pei's hands shattered with a roar.

Seeing this, a bad premonition rose in Lv Cheng's heart, "You don't mean to say... this Magic Spell will destroy this world, do you?"

"Yes!" Luo Pei said solemnly.

"The entanglement of Yin and Yang is unavoidable. Whether Yin annihilates Yang or Yang annihilates Yin, it will trigger a new disaster. However, if the entanglement of Yin and Yang loses its restrictions and the conflict continues to escalate, just like the Taiji Diagram from a moment ago, after reaching a certain limit, Yin and Yang will shatter and return to the starting point—which is chaos!"

"Although this world lacks the restriction of Yin-Yang Balance, once your power fluctuations reach a critical point, Hell will shatter; with the collision between Hell and the present world, the world will be pretty much finished too."

"Moreover, this demon tampered with you; he poured his own Demon Qi into your soul. On the surface, it achieved a kind of Yin-Yang Balance within you, but in reality, he has re-established a balance Contract between you and him!"

"The Fire Demon is the Li of Yin; Yin at its extreme gives birth to Yang. He used his own Demon Qi to turn you into the Li of Yang. Thus, the stronger you become, the stronger he will become..."

"Wait a second," Lv Cheng raised a hand to interrupt.

"I'm a bit dizzy. Isn't he already the Yin corresponding to me, including the other Seven Great Demons? How can he still correspond to me individually?"

Luo Pei sighed, "That is the complexity and danger of Yin-Yang Balance. There is no such thing as absolute Yin-Yang opposition; Yin and Yang can also exist in an inclusive relationship."

"The simultaneous establishment of two Contracts, and they are even intertwined... I don't even know what will happen."

"Will I die?" Lv Cheng asked the question he cared about most.

"No." Luo Pei shook his head.

"Not only will you not die, but you will live very well!" Shendu floated over.

"As the Yang counterpart opposed to me, once this Contract is completed, you will become an existence like me, immortal and indestructible!"

"..."

Lv Cheng looked bewildered, "It's that good?"

Even his own father hadn't treated him this well!

"Good?" Luo Pei cast a puzzled look at Lv Cheng.

"Once this Contract is completed, you will become a Demon, and since the contracts you previously signed with the Demons were based on the rules of Hell, once you become a Demon, you will be sucked into Hell, just like these Demons, and imprisoned until the end of eternity!"

"..."

"Are you f***ing kidding me?!" Lv Cheng looked at Shendu with a bewildered expression.

Going to such great lengths to screw me over, what good does it do you?!
