Chapter 24: The Last Turn

Hearing such a declaration as "The last turn," all the audience became excited.

They were very curious, for what reason could Tiancheng Guang be so confident as to call himself "The last turn"?

"Interesting, that Tiancheng Guang, his face is full of confidence." Kaiser Ryō crossed his arms and looked at him, his eyes full of joy. More and more excellent duelists appeared in the academy, which made him, who was about to graduate, couldn't help but be excited.

Although in his view, the current Jūdai was far from being as good as himself, he had already shown his talent. Now another person appeared, how could he not be excited?

The addiction to playing cards is up!

"However, with insufficient hand resources and the ATK of the monsters on the field permanently reduced by half, how can the situation be reversed?"

Asuka's question was also the question of most students.

Insufficient hand resources, the ATK of monsters on the field reduced, and the Trap card destroyed, it was almost a desperate situation. In this case, even with Fusion, what could be done?

After all, even if he wanted to fuse that "Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem," looking at the situation and hand cards, it seemed a bit insufficient.

But Tiancheng Guang actually knew better than them that there was no "Ancient Gear Golem" in his deck, and it was impossible to fuse Ultimate Golem.

"Jūdai, Tiancheng's situation is very bad, just hold on, you will win!" Maeda Hayato cheered for Jūdai.

"At this point, could it be that this guy still has other means?" Even the Great Tornado fused by Winged Kuriboh was very puzzled. In such a desperate situation, what could Tiancheng Guang do to defeat him?

It wasn't that he was bragging, but he had confidence that he could defeat Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon after evolving, even if the effect had been activated. Even if the Labyrinth Tank with 1200 ATK was far from catching up with him.

Jūdai didn't understand either.

But his heart beating enthusiastically made him extremely excited, and he couldn't help but look forward to Tiancheng Guang's moves!

"Good, come on, Tiancheng, let me see your Fusion!"

"Good, Jūdai, then let me tell you, the reason you will lose is precisely because you want to challenge me in the field I am most proficient in—I activate Spell card, Exchange of the Spirit!"

"It's that card—"

Students who watched the duel yesterday recognized the card instantly.

"Pay 2000 Life Points and declare a card name. If that card exists in your deck, then you must choose to add it to my hand or special summon it to my field!"

Tiancheng Guang LP: 2100→100

"Ugh..." Jūdai was a bit confused.

At this point, still paying 2000 Life Points, what is it for?

"Then, what do you want to declare?"

"Elemental HERO Burstinatrix!" Tiancheng Guang pointed at Jūdai's duel disk with a smile, "I have checked your Graveyard, from the duel until now, you haven't used Burstinatrix, so she must be in the depths of your deck!"

"Ah, that is indeed..." Jūdai took out his deck, checked it, and found that Burstinatrix had actually sunk to the bottom. He took it out of the deck and threw it directly to Tiancheng Guang.

After getting the card, Tiancheng Guang didn't rush to use it, but immediately activated the effect of "Flame Sword Domain" on the field: "I send Labyrinth Tank on the field to the Graveyard, Fusion Summon a second Flame Swordsman from the Extra Deck!"

"Haha, I'm back!" Although one was an ordinary Flame Swordsman and one was a card inhabited by the Flame Swordsman spirit, the Flame Swordsman spirit itself could travel between the two cards. Now that there was a chance to appear, he cheered and puffed out his chest towards "Dark Flame Knight" in the deck.

"No need for Fusion materials, directly perform a Fusion Summon... It's here!"

"Tiancheng Guang's Fusion deck!"

The Fusion Department started cheering.

"It's not over yet, I immediately activate another Continuous Spell card, Future Fusion!" Tiancheng Guang immediately showed another hand card, "This card's two effects can each be used once per turn! According to its effect, I first show the Fusion monster in the Extra Deck, Labyrinth Tank, and according to its effect, send Cannon Soldier from the deck to the Graveyard! This turn, I cannot special summon Cannon Soldier or use its effect!"

"Immediately after, activate the 2nd effect of Future Fusion!"

"Once per turn, banish monsters from the Graveyard as Fusion materials to Fusion Summon a Dark attribute Machine-type Fusion monster!"

"I banish Cannon Soldier and High-Tech Wolf from the Graveyard, Fusion Summon—Labyrinth Tank!"

Appear again!

Convenient little tank!

Labyrinth Tank, Level 7, Dark attribute, Machine-type, ATK 2400.

"Ooooooh!"

"The ATK is the same as Thunder Giant!"

Tiancheng Guang looked at his set card.

The one he set last turn was Attached Chain Flame Dragon. If he activated it at this time, he could increase Flame Swordsman's ATK and cause higher damage.

However, he was not prepared to do so.

A duel is an interaction of strategies. Before, although there were no monsters in his hand, he had never been in a hurry to use cards. Dismantling the opponent's situation layer by layer was the best tactic he thought of in this world.

This was no way. If it were his deck in his own world, he would definitely have played Branded Fusion, Fusion, etc., long ago. After all, there was no limit to the number, and directly performing powerful suppression would be much simpler to win.

But in this world, it was difficult, because Super Polymerization only gave him "Fusion" and "Fusion monsters," without Destiny HERO or Branded low-level monsters. These powerful Fusions could only be looked at.

Therefore, slowly dismantling the opponent's situation, using existing cards, forcing the opponent as much as possible, and slowly cannibalizing was the best choice he thought of when facing Jūdai.

"Then, battle!"

"The ATK is the same!" Jūdai was not afraid at all, "Are you going to activate the set card?"

"No need for that! Use Labyrinth Tank to attack, and at the same time, the 2nd effect of Flame Sword Domain can be activated! Once per turn, when a monster declares an attack, you can activate it, choose a Warrior-type monster on your field as the target, until the end of the turn, reduce that monster's ATK by 1000, and the ATK of other monsters on your field increases by 1000!"

Flame Swordsman ATK: 1800→800

Labyrinth Tank ATK: 2400→3400

"Exceeded Thunder Giant!"

Yūki Jūdai supported himself with his hands, resisting this bombardment.

"Then use Flame Swordsman to attack!"

Yūki Jūdai LP: 5000→4000→3200

"Steady counterattack." After watching Tiancheng Guang's counterattack, Marufuji Ryō couldn't help but nod slightly.

As the strongest duelist in the first year of the plot, as a duelist who had once defeated Jūdai, he knew Jūdai's dueling style very well. He was hot-headed, but always played beautiful chains. At first glance, he seemed reckless, but in fact, every action was prepared.

Dueling with Jūdai, you must never believe that he would be hot-headed and not calm just because he looked unreliable.

Forcing Jūdai step by step, making him have to work hard to solve the opponent's situation, and then killing him in an instant, this is the best choice—just like he did!

Especially... it seemed that after that, Jūdai had become much stronger?

Tiancheng Guang also wiped the sweat from his forehead.

He felt a long-lost excitement, a long-lost... pure joy of playing cards.

In his world, playing cards was really just a pastime. Either he kept making fields against an opponent without hand traps, or he clicked surrender and ran away when the opponent made a field.

It had been a long time since he experienced this kind of pure, simple exchange, especially with holographic images that seemed physical around him, which made his heart beat faster.

Is this pure joy?

You know, the current Jūdai is far from being a "complete body"!

"Turn end, the ATK of the two monsters returns to normal."

Jūdai also seemed to be infected. He drew a card, looked at the picture on it, and showed excitement: "Sure enough, to duel with you, I must use this card!"

"Oh?"

"When dueling in the other dimension before, we were able to win all because you took out this card. At that time, I understood that you were further than I thought." Jūdai hung a bright smile on his face, "Now, finally have a chance to duel you head-on! I activate Spell card, Miracle Fusion!"

"Miracle Fusion?"

"Sounds like inspiration from Tiancheng Guang?"

Tiancheng Guang was also surprised: "Where did you get this?"

"I just drew it from a card pack at Auntie Tome's before."

So rich, so lucky, so damn...

Tiancheng Guang didn't even have bread money.

"Then, according to the effect of Miracle Fusion, I banish Winged Kuriboh in the Graveyard and Wildheart in the Graveyard to perform a Fusion Summon!"
