Chapter 262: Building the Group (Fourth Update, Requesting Monthly Tickets)

"Grave effect—this, how could this be!?" x was stunned.

"Heh, the process of fusion is destruction, recreation, purification, and then transcendence," Seeing Tiancheng Guang said casually, "which is the process of 【Alchemy】."

Seeing Tiancheng Guang shook his head: "Sorry, you've picked the wrong opponent."

"For me, the graveyard is never the 【graveyard】 of monsters—it's a place where monsters recycle, are reclaimed, and ascend again."

"This, uh?"

"The effect of Divine Shadowe·Wendigo is: when this card is sent to the graveyard, add one 【Shadowe】 Magic or Trap card from the graveyard to your hand."

"And as for… the Old God Nuts: when this card is sent to the graveyard, you can destroy one card on the field."

"I, I…" x watched two phantom images materialize behind Seeing Tiancheng Guang and felt a chill run down his spine.

How could this happen!?

"Heh, destroy your face-down Trap card, then add 'Contact with the God's False Body' from the graveyard to your hand."

Boom—

The face-down card shattered instantly—it was a Burst Armor.

Hmm—

That makes sense.

"This…"

Now he had completely lost all defensive options—he could only watch as Seeing Tiancheng Guang operated.

"Whoa! Big Brother Guang is insane, right?"

"So now he's got everything he needs?"

"It's not just that!" Seeing Tiancheng Guang didn't let his classmates continue—he flipped over his face-down card, "Flipped face-down card: Shadowe's Pseudocanon!"

"This card can banish monsters from the graveyard to perform a Shadowe monster fusion summon!"

"I banish Divine Shadowe·Wendigo and Hot Lady from the graveyard to fusion summon—Divine Shadowe·Shenzi Jing!"

Boom—

A fusion monster as tall as a mountain stood on the field.

"But still, you have to discard cards!"

"Heh, I already said—it's fine!"

Divine Shadowe·Shenzi Jing, Level 7, Fire Attribute, Rock Type, ATK 2450.

Seeing Tiancheng Guang took seven cards from the top of his deck and placed them into the graveyard: "Fusion is a process of transcendence!"

He looked at his graveyard and lifted another face-down card: "Now is the moment to reclaim and ascend!"

"I activate the Trap card, Waste Stone Fusion: this card can banish fusion materials determined by the Gem Knight from the graveyard to perform a fusion summon!"

"I banish Gem Knight Bai Jing and Gem Knight Qingyu to fusion summon—Gem Knight Lanyu!"

Gem Knight·Lanyu, Level 6, Earth Attribute, Water Type, ATK 1400.

Now Seeing Tiancheng Guang had to send six more cards to the graveyard.

Even though Seeing Tiancheng Guang's deck was much thicker than others', it still maxed out at sixty cards—and now it was clearly running low.

Hmm—

x pondered.

Sending cards from the deck to the graveyard never fails; failure only occurs when you attempt to draw from an empty deck.

But—

x glanced at his own face-down monster.

As soon as the opponent attacked, the effect of the Shape-Shifting Pot would trigger: both players would discard all cards in hand and draw five cards—then he'd win!

Besides, he still had Super Gravity Net on his field—the opponent couldn't attack yet.

"Your Light Prism Crystal was randomly sent to the graveyard, right? Then you can't destroy my Super Gravity Net," x cheered himself on.

He'd seen it—the Light Prism Crystal went to the graveyard.

"Heh… fusion is a process of 【cycle】, Mr. X," Seeing Tiancheng Guang smiled, lifting a card from his graveyard.

What!?

"Activate the effect of Exchange Fusion in the graveyard: banish this card, return one fusion monster from the graveyard to the Extra Deck, and draw one card! The one I return—ha, of course—Light Prism Crystal!"

"Ahh!!"

"No matter when, no matter where, no matter the situation—I forever stand by fusion!" Seeing Tiancheng Guang raised his Duel Disk, speaking to himself and everyone around him, "No one can stop me!"

"Keep fusing!"

"Magic card: Gem Knight Fusion!" Seeing Tiancheng Guang played the most standard Gem Knight Fusion card, "This card is the most basic Gem Knight Fusion: you can use monsters on the field and in hand as fusion materials to summon a Gem Knight monster!"

"I fuse Lanyu and Huang Bi from my hand!"

"Fusion summon: my first, my favorite Gem Knight—Gem Knight·Light Prism Crystal!"

Zzzzz—

Countless beams of light rained down from the sky.

Beside the towering fallen angel, a Gem Knight wielding a long spear, his entire body made of white crystal, appeared on the field.

Gem Knight·Light Prism Crystal, Level 7, Earth Attribute, Thunder Type, ATK 2450.

Seeing Tiancheng Guang sent seven more cards to the graveyard.

Forget—

It felt kind of good.

Seeing Tiancheng Guang hadn't had such a luxurious duel in a long time.

He glanced at his graveyard.

"Because Lanyu was sent from the field to the graveyard, its effect activates," Seeing Tiancheng Guang pointed at the opponent's face-down monster, "That card returns to its owner's hand!"

Damn it!

This was over!

x stared in shock at Seeing Tiancheng Guang's monsters.

Gem Knight, Divine Shadowe, Super Thunder Dragon—each had its own unique ability, each symbolizing a facet of Seeing Tiancheng Guang's fusion power.

"So, the next move should be obvious to everyone, right?"

Seeing Tiancheng Guang raised his left hand.

"Got it!!" a classmate shouted.

"Gem Knight Fusion in the graveyard!!" Shenleban waved excitedly.

Many Fusion Department students shouted together in excitement:

"Banish Gem Knight monsters from the graveyard to recover Gem Knight Fusion!"

"Activate Light Prism Crystal's effect: discard a Gem Knight card to destroy a face-up card on the field!"

"Destroy Super Gravity Net!"

Light Prism Crystal aimed at Super Gravity Net—its spear erupted with searing light and instantly shredded it.

Seeing Tiancheng Guang grinned and shook his head.

That was so satisfying—

When else would you ever get a chance like this?

Today he'd pulled off a super low-budget Pearl Tear Shadowe!

The opponent had helped him stack over thirty cards!

He glanced at his hand.

Instant Fusion and Fusion Release.

With this field, he could fuse a Trident Dragon mid-battle, then use Fusion Release—clearing 8000 LP in one go.

Nah.

No need for Trident Dragon—the opponent had already helped him assemble this perfect combo. Save it.

Even the Falcon's Flip effect hadn't triggered—and there were still tons of cards left in the graveyard…

In this state, even if the opponent had three Phantom Dragons standing, he felt he could take them on casually.

Seeing Tiancheng Guang gently rubbed his hair.

"Battle phase."

Although Shenzi Jing was summoned via Shadowe's Pseudocanon and couldn't attack directly, Seeing Tiancheng Guang had too many fusion monsters on the field.

In fact, many had already realized:

Seeing Tiancheng Guang was fighting with the mindset that he no longer needed to keep operating—he just wanted to end the duel quickly, otherwise his field would've been even more spectacular!

After all—

Seeing Tiancheng Guang hadn't even used 'Contact with the God's False Body.'

Using that card to fuse Falcon and Shenzi Jing could even summon the spirit who never left his side!

Aide couldn't help but clap enthusiastically, prompting the classmates to join in.

Of course.

This man was undeniably a duelist unlike any ordinary one!

Fusion, huh…

On the other side, Zaishen watched a flickering golden light emerge from the Death Tarot card.

The normal flow of the duel flashed through his mind like a film.

"That's really outrageous."

This is...
