Chapter 274

"Duel!"

The Marufuji brothers stood on opposite sides of the commuter train, standing straight, and without even discussing what either would pay after the duel ended, they began immediately.

Hell Caesar LP: 4000.

Marufuji Xiang LP: 4000.

"My turn, I summon one monster in defense position and set one card. End turn."

Hell Caesar's duel style had changed drastically compared to before—he directly set a monster without properly summoning it.

"My turn, draw!"

Marufuji Xiang drew a card, glanced at it: "Spell card, Greedy Pot. Draw two cards from my deck."

"Next, normal summon, Blender Man!"

A yellow blender spun out from the card, its body rotating slowly, with a "Fusion" symbol painted right on its surface.

Blender Man, Level 4, Wind Attribute, Machine Type, ATK 0.

"So it's Fusion again..."

"That purple uniform—he's still wearing it?"

"Could he be a remnant of the Fusion Army? Too dangerous. Keep your distance."

Many spectators, or those hoping to see Hell Caesar in trouble, seeing Marufuji Xiang's move, stepped back quickly, putting as much space as possible between them.

"Xiang... Caesar..." Judai watched from the side.

He was the one suffering the most.

His revered older brother, suddenly changing his style on the professional stage, showed no respect for his opponent, even humiliating him multiple times—just now, he stomped on the badge his opponent had thrown to him.

His little brother, who once played happily with friends in the Combined Section, had suddenly become a subordinate of the evil force disrupting peace between two dimensions, imprisoned and interrogated for a week.

And now, when they met, they exchanged barely a few words before dueling—like men determined to kill each other...

"Activate Blender Man's effect: Tribute one Machine-type monster on the field. Special summon one 【Machine】 monster from the deck that is not Wind Attribute!"

"I tribute Blender Man to special summon Submarine Man from my deck!"

The ground suddenly spiraled like a vortex, and a humanoid submarine surfaced, its body submerged except for its head.

Submarine Man, Level 4, Water Attribute, Machine Type, ATK 800.

"Submarine Man can attack directly, and after its attack, it can switch to defense position!"

"What?"

"Is that really that cheap?"

"Battle! Submarine Man, attack!"

The submarine surged forward through the ground, and a torpedo erupted from the map, striking Hell Caesar and filling the area with dust.

Hell Caesar LP: 4000 → 3200.

"Hehehehe, you made me bleed." Hell Caesar's strange grin never changed.

"Submarine Man switches to defense position."

Submarine Man, ATK 800 → DEF 1800.

"Set one card. End turn."

"Though a bit cheap, bypassing set monsters to attack the opponent directly isn't bad," commented a professional duelist.

"Pfft. Fusion Army is still Fusion Army," someone sneered.

"My turn—"

Hell Caesar drew a card.

He glanced at his hand, then ignored the cards entirely, looking up and saying: "Reversal monster."

The set monster flipped over, revealing its peculiar large eyes and round, hardened body.

"Shapechanger Pot."

Shapechanger Pot, Level 2, Earth Attribute, Rock Type, ATK 700.

"It's this one?!"

When this monster was flipped, its effect activated: Both players discard their entire hands, then each draw five cards!

"If this monster's effect is so powerful, why not summon or set it earlier instead of just discarding everything?!" someone asked, bewildered.

"Hah, is Hell Caesar really insane?"

Asuka watched Caesar with concern.

Tenjo Hikari stared at the set card.

Who said there wasn't a set card?

"Both players discard all cards in hand, then draw five cards!"

Hell Caesar and Marufuji Xiang simultaneously sent all cards in hand to the graveyard, then each drew five cards.

"Next... Tribute Shapechanger Pot for an upper-level summon—Cyber Dragon!"

Shapechanger Pot's form vanished, and a shining, electrically charged Machine-type monster appeared on Marufuji Ryo's field.

Cyber Dragon, Level 5, Light Attribute, Machine Type, ATK 2100.

Cyber Dragon!?

Judai, Chui Xue, and Asuka froze in place. Marufuji Xiang, dueling Hell Caesar, gaped in shock.

How could there be a Cyber Dragon!?

Wasn't it supposed to be Cyber Dark?

"Next, activate the card I set last turn—"

Marufuji Ryo laughed and flipped his set card: "Spell card, Dragon's Mirror!"

Dragon's Mirror!?

Caesar's shocks were still continuing.

"This is a Dragon-type exclusive Fusion Spell. By banishing Dragon-type monsters from the graveyard, you can perform a Dragon Fusion Summon!"

"What?"

"Dragon Fusion?"

"This guy still dares to use Fusion—"

Marufuji Xiang's pupils shrank. He watched his brother play this card, and his entire being seemed to sink into deep thought again.

At this moment, Denis arrived, unseen.

A duel between Marufuji Representative and Marufuji Ryo?

Hmm—

So the opponent used Fusion first?

And... Dragon Fusion?

"How could you still use Fusion now, Brother?" Marufuji Xiang finally couldn't hold back and asked his brother.

"Hehe, what does it matter? Fusion Army, non-Fusion Army, dimensions, non-dimensions—I care about only one thing: victory!

Banish five Dragon-type monsters from the graveyard!

Fusion Summon!

You've all heard its name!

Five-Headed Dragon!!"

"Wooooo!!"

The legendary dragon, with five heads—representing Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Darkness—rose on the field, roaring and shrieking toward Marufuji Xiang.

Five-Headed Dragon, Level 12, Dark Attribute, Dragon Type, ATK 5000.

"It's the Five-Headed Dragon?"

"I've never seen someone actually fuse it before..."

"I heard you need five different attribute Dragon-type monsters."

The surrounding duelists, seeing this ancient, legendary monster they all recognized, erupted into excited discussion.

At this moment, whether he was Fusion Army or not no longer mattered.

After all, a legendary monster appearing before one's eyes was truly exhilarating.

"This ends it, Xiang." Hell Caesar looked at his opponent, sneering and pointing. "Battle! Cyber Dragon, attack Submarine Man!"

The silver-white mechanical dragon let out a long roar toward the sky, then lunged forward, smashing the submerged machine with a single tail.

"Next, Five-Headed Dragon, direct attack!"

"Whoa, if Five-Headed Dragon attacks directly, 4000 LP won't be enough."

"Open the set card!" Marufuji Xiang pressed a button on his duel disk. "Continuous Trap, Life Force!

Pay 400 LP to nullify battle damage!"

Five-Headed Dragon's attack was negated, but the LP payment and physical impact still had to be endured.

A violent force slammed into Marufuji Xiang, forcing him backward. He couldn't hold his balance, flew through the air, rolled on the ground, and cried out in pain.

Marufuji Xiang LP: 4000 → 3600.

"Heh, set two cards. End turn."

Chapter Two, Chapter Two.

Caesar really has Five-Headed Dragon—probably included in the Cyber Dark deck.
