Chapter 355

Sartorius's plan had failed.

Although he possessed a monster with 4000 ATK, if he couldn't end the battle this turn, then next turn, even if Plasma-D couldn't devour monsters on his own field because it had an equipped monster, and thus its ATK was lower than The Light Ruler, the ATK of The Fool on his field was 0!

Sartorius's face gradually calmed down.

Tiancheng Guang was very surprised.

These two were truly worthy of being good brothers.

One was thinking about bypassing Plasma-D to attack the duelist directly.

The other was thinking about bypassing the duel directly, using a card like Brain Control Release to remind the duelist.

One can only say they are worthy of having grown up together.

Under the surprised gazes of Aster and Tiancheng Guang, Sartorius took a deep breath.

"Battle continues, The Light Ruler attacks Plasma-D!"

"I activate the effect of Destiny HERO - Dreamer in my Graveyard. It can be activated when my 【Destiny HERO】 monster is involved in battle calculation. Special Summon this card from the Graveyard, and that monster of mine will not be destroyed by that battle! The battle damage dealt to me becomes 0!

I Special Summon it in Defense Position, making the battle damage 0!"

Destiny HERO - Dreamer, Level 1, Dark Attribute, Warrior-Type, DEF 600.

"How about that, Sartorius? With this, you have no way out!!"

"Naive, too naive, Aster! I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card, Goddess of Time's Mischief!" Sartorius grinned, "I won't lose that easily!"

"What?" Aster was stunned when he saw this card, "Isn't this Prince Ojin's card—"

"Prince Ojin is indeed a member of our Society of Light, Aster!"

"Activated at the end of my Battle Phase, I proceed directly to the start of the Battle Phase of my next turn!"

"This way, I can attack again, Aster!! Everything is to deal with your Plasma-D!!"

Just like Aster tried his best to deal with The World.

Because of Plasma-D's existence, Sartorius had to find a way to deal with it; otherwise, no matter how he fought, he would only lose.

This was the terrifying deterrent power of Plasma-D.

Whether it was attacking directly or attacking Plasma-D, it was all for this moment!

Aster LP: 900 → 350.

"Sartorius..."

Aster braced his hands in front of him. The wild wind howled, and the light eroded his body.

Because Plasma-D was destroyed, the spirit power protecting him returned to the card. His body, already extremely exhausted, was now on the verge of collapsing at any moment.

However—

He was still supporting himself and hadn't fallen.

Is this level not enough?

Then add more matches to the fire!

Sartorius only had two cards in his hand, and his face-down card hadn't been activated. Even if Plasma-D was destroyed, it didn't matter at all!

Because The Fool was still on the field!

"My turn! Fate, The World, help me, guide me—draw!!" Aster drew with all his might, and a purple streak passed through his hand.

"Whoa." Tiera said softly.

Aster looked at the card he drew, his eyes lighting up.

This was the card Tiancheng Guang had given him before!

He had been worried before that his hand wasn't enough to attack The Fool and deal 2900 points of damage, but at this moment, he had actually drawn this card!

If he couldn't defeat Sartorius this turn, dragging it out would be very disadvantageous for him, but now, he had this card.

"Here it comes—I activate the Normal Spell Card, Fusion Destiny!"

He carefully inserted the card in his hand into his Duel Disk: "Sartorius, during this time, I have also met many new friends, and I have learned new things.

That is, 【Fusion】! The fusion of power, the fusion between friends.

There is no need to be alone!

I understand that holding an umbrella for a friend is never a mistake, so I will use this card to thoroughly save you—the effect of Fusion Destiny: send Fusion Materials from my hand or deck to the Graveyard to perform a Fusion Summon of a 【Destiny】 HERO!!"

"I will send Dreadmaster and Malicious from my deck to the Graveyard to perform a Fusion Summon!"

"This is the power of 【Fusion】 that I have learned!"

"Fusion Summon, Destiny HERO - Fatal!"

Life or death!

Aster decided to bet this attack on this card!

On this card that was connected to Tiancheng Guang!

Destiny HERO - Fatal, Level 6, Dark Attribute, Warrior-Type, ATK 2000.

"Fatal's monster effect: discard one card from my hand, send one Destiny HERO from my hand or deck to the Graveyard, and increase the ATK of all Destiny HERO monsters on the field by the number of Destiny HERO monsters in the Graveyard x 200 until the end of the turn!"

"In my Graveyard, there are now Dystopia, Divine Dude, Drilldark, Diamond Dude, Dreadmaster, Malicious, Plasma-D, and counting the Dasher I discarded from the deck, that's a total of 8 cards, so the ATK of all Destiny HEROes on the field increases by 1600!"

However, there was only one monster in Attack Position.

Fatal, ATK: 2000 → 3600.

"This is the end!!"

Sartorius watched this monster attack him, his eyes reflecting the future.

Fatal's attack successfully passed.

His Life Points hit zero.

And after the duel ended, with Aster's help, he also became good friends with Tiancheng Guang. In front of this leader, duelist, and absolute Fusion user who was like the sun, it seemed all pain would gradually dissipate.

That was a wonderful future.

Because Tiancheng Guang was also a person with "innate abilities," but he neither cared about the eyes of ordinary people nor was hostile toward them; he even led ordinary people toward a better future.

Yes—that was beautiful.

Sartorius LP: 2900 → 0.

Won!?

Tiancheng Guang's eyes widened.

Aster actually—won!???

He had completely broken his own fate!

Just as he was thinking this, he suddenly discovered that the world was twisting rapidly, and the clouds in the sky were actually moving backward!

Tiancheng Guang blinked, unable to react for a moment.

In just an instant, he woke up with a start.

"Wait, Aster—" Tiancheng Guang opened his mouth to stop Aster, but when he came to his senses, the scene had turned back to Fatal attacking Sartorius!

"Tiera!?" Tiancheng Guang shouted Tiera's name.

"Ah, I know!!!" Tiera immediately followed up, but she could only worry, "But it's no use! My power hasn't recovered enough!"

At the same time, an ancient and low voice sounded: "What a weak man. As expected, humans are easily influenced by such emotions."

In Sartorius's body, such a strange voice sounded.

!!

"Activate Trap Card—"

"Light of Gathering."

A Trap Card slowly flipped open. On the card art, angels were flying toward heaven.

Along with the card opening, this dimension—no, the light from countless dimensions—gathered here, completely illuminating the entire critical point!

The light is gathering!!!

Light that did not belong to humans, did not belong to spirits, and did not even belong to this dimension, light from the universe was gathering at the top of the tower!

"Discard all cards in my hand, add Light Attribute monsters from my Graveyard to my hand." Sartorius, who had calmed down, suddenly erupted with a more terrifying facial expression than in Tiancheng Guang's memory. His face was distorted, not looking like a human at all, and horns even began to grow on his head!

"Send two cards from my hand to the Graveyard, and add Temperance and The Hierophant to my hand!"

"Discard Temperance, make battle damage 0!"

"Ugh... Activate the effect of Divine Dude in the Graveyard, banish Dreadmaster, draw two cards."

Aster didn't even know what had happened; he just cursed himself and continued the duel.

He looked at the card he drew.

An Absorption Shield, plus two monsters in Defense Position on the field. It should be fine.

"I set one card face-down and end my turn."

"My turn, draw!" 【Sartorius】 drew a card.

"Normal Summon, Arcana Force V - The Hierophant!"

The Hierophant spun automatically, stopped automatically, and appeared Upright: "From my deck, Special Summon, Arcana Force IV - The Emperor!"

"If there is a monster that tosses a coin on my field, this card can be Special Summoned.

The 19th card of the Major Arcana, The Sun!"

Arcana Force XIX - The Sun, Level 7, Light Attribute, Fairy-Type, ATK 2900.

Sartorius began to crazily use cards Tiancheng Guang had never seen before, while Tiancheng Guang just fell silent, silently recording the names and effects of these cards.

Subsequently, Sartorius raised his right hand, and light of different colors lit up on The Hierophant, The Emperor, and The Fool on the field, shooting into the sky.

"Although the 【Time】 is not correct, fate has already produced a brand new judgment!"

He held a blank card high.

Originally, this card should have descended tomorrow!

However, 【He】 was now going to forcibly catalyze its birth!

"Become the power of fate!"

"Perform a Contact Fusion with the three Arcana Force monsters on the field!"

Contact Fusion!?

What!?

Aster stared in disbelief.

A Fusion monster of Arcana Force!?

Along with Sartorius's roar, in the endless white light, a massive angel with three black dragons on its body slowly descended. Its appearance seemed to announce the end of all things, filled with the aura of death.

Aster was somewhat dazed. He had already spent a massive amount of stamina to awaken Plasma-D, and now he was inexplicably targeted by this monster, feeling dazed in body and mind.

"Descend, the fate of the end, Arcana Force EX - Chaos Ruler!"

Arcana Force EX - Chaos Ruler, Level 10, Light Attribute, Fairy-Type, ATK 3300.

The card spun automatically.

"Naturally, Upright!"

Ding!

The spinning card stopped spinning. It sat there quietly in the Upright Position.

"The effect of the Upright Chaos Ruler: ignore the Summoning conditions and Special Summon one Level 10 Arcana Force monster from my hand or deck!"

"Appear, Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler!"

Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler, Level 10, Light Attribute, Fairy-Type, ATK 4000.

Gathering both trump cards from the original work at once!

Tiancheng Guang watched this scene and fell completely silent.

Only Tiera beside him knew how the river and sea in Tiancheng Guang's heart were surging at this moment.

The Dark Ruler spun automatically and finally stopped in the Upright Position.

"Battle, this is the final end, Hierophant!" Sartorius was completely crazy, shouting 【Hierophant】 and attacking Aster: "The Light Ruler attacks Fatal!"

"Trap Card, Absorption Shield, recover Life Points equal to the ATK of your monster!"

Aster LP: 350 → 4350.

"Use Chaos Ruler to attack Dreamer!"

Bang, Dreamer, with only 600 DEF, turned into particles and disappeared from the world. Because it was Special Summoned by its own effect, it could only be banished.

"Next, The Sun attacks Double Dude."

Likewise, Double Dude was also Special Summoned by its own effect, so it was destroyed and banished.

"The Dark Ruler attacks Fatal."

"Discard one card from my hand, send Decider from my deck to the Graveyard!" Aster struggled hard.

He still had Life Points, he could still hold on—

"The Dark Ruler in the Upright Position can attack twice!!!"

Aster paused on the spot.

He opened his mouth, but then it turned into a bitter smile. He turned to look at Tiancheng Guang: "Sorry, Department Head, it seems that when I should have been aggressive, I chose to be conservative."

If he had changed all monsters to Attack Position last turn, he would have won. After all, The Fool couldn't be destroyed by battle and could only take attacks.

The light swallowed Aster, completely shrouding his figure.

Aster, LP: 4350 → 0.

"No... Aster, you have already won."

You have already 【Won back】 the heart of your friend.

It's just—

Light of Destruction!

Too despicable!

"Next, I will end everything."
