Chapter 440: In Place

Finally able to duel with Tiancheng Guang again.

Gloria excitedly drew a card.

The first time she dueled with Tiancheng Guang, she saw a card like "Gem-Knight Dispersion," which could fuse cards from the Extra Deck. Under those brilliant gem colors, she felt a brand new duel she had never experienced before.

She and Grace were geniuses at double duels, not only because they were twins themselves, but more importantly, they could very stably fuse each other's cards, which could achieve an effect of one plus one greater than two.

And in the official double duel, the sisters actually lost to Tiancheng Guang and Wan Wan Wan Zhangmu, and even saw a wonderful card like Gem-Knight Dispersion at the end, which changed Gloria's thinking all along.

The original intention of her and Grace joining the Fusion Army was to conduct more duels to make up for their emptiness and relieve their boredom.

And at that time, they saw brand new things—it was precisely because of this that they also slowly started to try new possibilities.

Whether it was Gloria or Grace, they were very clear.

Grace took a few steps forward and walked nearby. Gloria caught a glimpse of her with the corner of her eye and showed a confident smile: "Don't worry, Grace, after this duel, I will have a good rest."

"Then Sister Gloria, you must work hard."

"Ah—"

"My turn, draw card!" Gloria drew a card, looked at the card in her hand, and curled her lips, "Normal Summon, Amazoness Princess."

A little girl with a silver ponytail appeared on the field.

Amazoness Princess, Level 3, Earth Attribute, Warrior-Type, Defense: 900.

"As long as this card is on the field/Graveyard, it is treated as 【Amazoness Queen】! Then, when this card is summoned/Special Summoned, activate. Add one 【Amazoness】 Spell/Trap Card from the deck to your hand."

Swish—

A silver light flashed from the deck. She lifted her left hand, gently tossed her long blonde hair, and caught the card in the moonlight.

"Add Amazoness Secret Arts to your hand!"

A card familiar to all three of them flashed in her right hand. She held the card in her hand and showed it to Tiancheng Guang: "How about it, Tiancheng Guang, you saw it, right? Back then, the fusion of 【using extra monsters for fusion】 that you mastered, and the Quick-Play Spell Card you prepared in the Amazoness camp, now, have been mastered by me."

Tiancheng Guang nodded gently, acknowledging the opponent's growth.

"Then—Quick-Play Spell Card, Amazoness Secret Arts, use monsters on the field/hand as fusion materials, Fusion Summon an Amazoness Fusion Monster!"

"Fusion Summon, Amazoness Empress!"

The petite princess grew rapidly, her body gradually moving from immature to strong, from barren to plump.

Amazoness Empress, Level 8, Earth Attribute, Warrior-Type, Attack: 2800.

"Cover one card, end the turn!"

Tiancheng Guang remained silent. He looked down at the cards in his hand twice, then looked at Gloria.

Gloria was puzzled by the look and couldn't help but frown and ask: "What's wrong? Tiancheng Guang?"

"Gloria... do you know what mistake you made recently?"

"Me? Made a mistake? Ha, you wouldn't want to say that I didn't listen to your metaphysics and lost to Wan Wan Wan Zhangmu Jun, right?" Gloria put her hand on her waist, waving her hand. Even if she was tired, she didn't want to show her weak side. "I admit, I underestimated Wan Wan Wan Zhangmu Jun. He is indeed an excellent duelist. However, this has nothing to do with this duel."

"Is that so." Tiancheng Guang didn't say anything right away and responded casually, drawing a card from the deck.

"At this moment, open the covered card, Continuous Trap Card, Amazoness Audience Chamber!" Gloria opened the covered card immediately. "As long as this card is on the field, every time you Special Summon a monster, I will recover Life Points equal to the attack power of that Special Summoned monster!"

"Alright! A perfect start." Beside her, Grace's eyes lit up.

Amazoness Empress can protect Amazoness cards on the field from being destroyed by effects and cards. Amazoness Audience Chamber can increase Life Points when the opponent Special Summons. For Tiancheng Guang, whose entire deck is basically Special Summoned monsters, this is undoubtedly a kind of blockade.

However, looking at this card, for some reason, a green-haired figure slowly appeared beside Tiancheng Guang.

Is it Shaddoll Winda—

That Winda looked at the scene with strange eyes, then looked down at Tiancheng Guang's hand cards, her expression playful, looking a bit like she was watching the fun, which made people puzzled.

What's wrong?

Grace was a bit confused.

"Then—pay 1000 Life Points, activate Normal Spell Card, Instant Fusion!"

"Ah, Instant Fusion!" Grace's surprise just now dissipated instantly.

Instant Fusion is a card that can directly Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster Level 5 or lower without fusion materials!

So—Tiancheng Guang only needs to Fusion Summon that card!

Tiancheng Guang LP: 4000 -> 3000.

"Fusion Summon, Thousand-Eyes Restrict."

Tiancheng Guang's tone was very calm, not as serious as when the duel started, taking out Thousand-Eyes Restrict and placing it on the field.

Gloria was annoyed.

This is hopeless.

Because the attack power of Thousand-Eyes Restrict is 0!

Thousand-Eyes Restrict, Level 1, Dark Attribute, Spellcaster-Type, Attack: 0.

"Activate the effect of Thousand-Eyes Restrict, absorb Amazoness Empress."

Watching Amazoness Empress disappear, merging into Thousand-Eyes Restrict in the purple light, Gloria couldn't help but click her tongue softly.

And Tiancheng Guang's operation hadn't ended yet.

"Next, Continuous Spell Card, Brilliant Fusion."

"Ooh..." Grace felt heartache.

Brilliant Fusion is a card that fuses monsters in the deck to Fusion Summon Gem-Knight monsters—at that time, the attack and defense of the fused monster will become 0.

That is to say, the effect of Audience Chamber still couldn't be activated.

"Fuse the Gem-Knight Sapphire in the deck and the Gem-Knight Lazuli in the deck." Tiancheng Guang operated casually, piling the materials in the deck into the Graveyard, and then, a bright white knight familiar to everyone on the field appeared brilliantly.

Gem-Knight Seraphinite—Tiancheng Guang's favorite Gem-Knight.

Gem-Knight Seraphinite, Level 7, Earth Attribute, Thunder-Type, Defense: 1400 -> 0.

"Discard Gem-Knight Fusion in hand, destroy your Amazoness Audience Chamber."

Seraphinite's long spear aimed at the Continuous Trap Card, and the long spear shot out a string of golden light, shattering the trap card.

"Then, activate the effect of Gem-Knight Fusion in the Graveyard, banish Gem-Knight Lazuli in the Graveyard, and add it to your hand."

"Cover one card, end the turn."

"Hmph... my turn—"

"Before that!"

Suddenly, Tiancheng Guang spoke and interrupted Gloria's action.

His voice was full of "power," as if it had some kind of magic, making the twin sisters look at him at the same time.

"Gloria, haven't you discovered it yet?"

"Discover, what?" Gloria was confused.

Grace on the side frowned in confusion, muttering.

Discover what?

"Haven't you seen it yet, Gloria—this duel from the beginning to now, is the 【same】 as our 【double duel】 back then!"

Ah!!

The two sisters widened their eyes at the same time.

At this very moment, they finally recalled—back then, when they dueled with Tiancheng Guang and Wan Wan Wan Zhangmu, Gloria's first turn and Tiancheng Guang's first turn were almost exactly the same as the two turns now!

Although the cards used were different, the process of interaction was almost identical!

Gloria's hand movements froze directly in the air.

She stood still in place, her body, which had been insisted on by "belief" for a long time, almost fell to the side because of mental relaxation.

She took a step to the side with her left leg, stumbled slightly, and then shook her head.

Ho... how could it be like this?

She asked herself in her heart.

Tiancheng Guang sighed softly.

"Gloria, haven't you understood yet? There has been no change since that time. You are still standing in place."

Boom—

Under the moonlight, it was as if thunder had struck, shaking the hearts of the two girls.
