Chapter 8

In fact, this is the normal situation. Most Blue Academy students support Liu just because everyone is from the same academy. They want to maintain the "nobility" of the Blue Academy in the academy.

But if the duel continues... hehe, that's hard to say.

After all, they are not only Blue Academy students, but also members of the Fusion Department. In order to make the Fusion Department stronger and to get more "credits" in dimension exploration, they hope more for an excellent Fusion faction member!

After realizing this, Liu hurriedly shook his head.

If he wins, there is still a chance. If he loses, he is finished!

He is not Yulong. He has used this deck many times, and there are other cards obtained in the second year. Although the monster Fusion Summoned was interrupted, there are still three cards in his hand!

"I activate the Field Spell card, Geartown!"

"Geartown? Ancient Gear's dedicated field, can reduce the tribute requirement... Senior wants to summon Ancient Gear Beast, right?"

"You—" Being guessed, Liu trembled all over. He gritted his teeth and showed a monster from his hand, "Normal Summon, Ancient Gear Beast!"

"Awoo~~" A giant hunting dog made of old gears and steel pounced out of the card.

Ancient Gear Beast, Level 6, Earth Attribute, Machine-Type, 2000 ATK.

"Battle..."

"Wait!"

Tiancheng Guang directly interrupted his words.

"Before you enter the Battle Phase!" Tiancheng Guang directly opened the set card, "I activate the Trap card, Chain-Linked Dragon Flame!"

"This is a Trap card that can return fusion materials from the hand, field, or Graveyard to the deck to Special Summon a Fire Attribute Fusion monster—but that's an effect that can only be activated in the Graveyard.

When this card is activated, it can be equipped to a Fire Attribute monster on the field, that monster's ATK increases by 700, and after that, you can change an effect monster on the field to face-down Defense Position!"

"What!"

"Hehe, you understand without me saying it!" Tiancheng Guang's eyes were cold.

"Damn it! Damn it!!" Liu cursed loudly.

A chain flew out from the flames and entangled the Ancient Gear Beast. In an instant, the beast was full of rot and mottling.

Ancient Gear Beast, ATK 2000→0

At a loss.

This was the first time Liu felt at a loss.

Even when facing third-year students, he hadn't been so afraid. Only that one time, when he accidentally saw the duel of the third-year chief Marufuji Ryo, did he have this feeling.

Can this kid compare to Kaiser?

No, no, absolutely impossible!

Kaiser is the pride of their Blue Academy!

"Tsk... End turn."

Although he didn't want to end it, with only one card in his hand, there was nothing else he could do.

But it didn't matter.

Labyrinth Tank's DEF is 2400, Ancient Gear Beast's DEF is 2000. Two monsters are not so easy to be destroyed!

Even if the Flame Swordsman now has 2500 ATK, it doesn't matter. As long as he leaves one monster next turn, and he draws Ancient Gear Golem, he can Tribute Summon Ancient Gear Golem!

Ancient Gear Golem, which is enough to compare to Blue-Eyes White Dragon, has 3000 ATK, far exceeding ordinary monsters!

"My turn, draw card!"

Tiancheng Guang's turn, he looked at the card he drew, chuckled: "Senior, it seems that the cards are also very dissatisfied with you."

"?"

"Hmm... although it doesn't mean anything, it should be right to fulfill their thoughts for the monsters. So... I Normal Summon—Ancient Gear Beast!"

"Awoo!!"

"Ah!" Seeing a giant mechanical dog made of old gears and steel appear in front of him, Liu was shocked and couldn't help but subconsciously take a step back.

Geartown's effect is that both players reduce the tribute requirement for Ancient Gear monster cards, so even Tiancheng Guang can directly summon Ancient Gear Beast!

"Didn't you say only Fusion?"

"No... even if it's Fusion, aren't there materials?"

"Yes, besides... even..."

Several Red and Yellow Academy students looked at a card set on the field. Although they didn't say it, the meaning was obvious.

This is a world with card spirits. Looking at Liu like this, being rejected by the cards, and even being beaten back by the cards... it's normal.

This looks like the Ancient Gear monsters are very dissatisfied with Liu!

"Next, I activate the effect of Future Fusion. Show Labyrinth Tank, send High-Tech Wolf from the deck to the Graveyard—immediately after, I activate the second effect of Future Fusion!

Banish the monsters in the Graveyard as fusion materials to Fusion Summon 1 Dark Attribute Machine-Type Fusion monster!"

"Fusion Summon—Labyrinth Tank!"

Boom.

The one who arrived at the battlefield immediately was Labyrinth Tank!

"So... so..."

"Wow, it turns out that Future Fusion is used like this—in this way, doesn't it mean that you can Fusion Summon a Dark Attribute Machine-Type monster every two turns? So powerful!"

"Clearly the same Tribute monster, the same Fusion monster, why does it feel stronger when this classmate uses it?"

"Ahem, don't say such things, those Blue guys are looking over!"

Liu's lackeys looked at those people fiercely, but even they had to admit—their boss didn't seem to be as good as Tiancheng Guang.

"Battle." Tiancheng Guang shrugged, "Use Flame Swordsman to attack Labyrinth Tank, use Labyrinth Tank to attack Ancient Gear Beast, use Ancient Gear Beast to attack directly—it's a pity that there is no Limiter Removal in my deck, otherwise this attack should have ended it."

"Then... it's your turn!" Tiancheng Guang hung a seemingly kind smile on his face, "Senior!"

Liu reached for the deck tremblingly.

He only had one Ancient Gear Engineer left in his hand, completely unable to support this situation.

Although there is a Geartown on the field, Tiancheng Guang is clearly not a fool and will not destroy Geartown to trigger Geartown's second effect.

Then what else in his deck can win this situation?

There is...

Is there? There should be!

He tremblingly drew a card, and then felt that all his strength was lost, and he knelt on the ground all of a sudden.

Ancient Gear Golem!

Finished!

He could already see his future reputation and situation in the academy!

Cards were scattered all over the ground, the Duel Disk automatically judged defeat, Tiancheng Guang looked from afar and sneered.

"Senior, didn't you want to find Golem? Isn't it here now."

"If you don't respect and cherish the cards on weekdays, the cards will naturally not respond to you."

Tiancheng Guang continued: "So, you are worthy of performing noble Fusion? Although your clothes are purple, in your heart, there is no collective, no everyone, and even less Fusion!"

He felt a warm current pouring into his body. Although he didn't know where this warm current flowed, this amount was definitely three or four times more than Yulong's before!

Flame Swordsman took three or four days to get out, so this amount, he felt he could get one more Fusion monster today!

On the other side, Professor Chronos had already walked over. He walked to Tiancheng Guang and took a deep breath: "Tiancheng, your duel is quite pure, which is surprising."

"Thank you, Professor."

"Keep this card." Professor Chronos took out an Ancient Gear Golem and said, "Not a card temporarily given by the Fusion Department, but a card given by me, Professor Chronos, the user of the Ancient Gear deck."

"Ah!"

"Professor?"

A group of Fusion Department students, especially those Blue Academy students, suddenly showed envious and jealous expressions.

The Ancient Gear in their hands is actually a card lent to them by the academy, and they still have to return it after graduation.

But the one given by Professor Chronos must be a card that can be used for a lifetime!

That is a powerful monster comparable to Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

"Thank you, Professor." Tiancheng Guang didn't decline and took the card.

"I should thank you."

?

A question mark appeared on Tiancheng Guang's head.

What?

"Thank you for telling me with today's duel that means like framing are really not usable." Professor Chronos sighed and took out a handkerchief to wipe his tears.

?

He wouldn't have associated it with Jaden because of today's events, right?

I only looked for you simply because you are the professor with the highest status in my memory.

But he didn't say it, because this is a good misunderstanding.

"I will take this student away, and there will be notifications and punishments later. You continue your club activities." Professor Chronos left with a heavy heart.

Professor Chronos himself is still a good teacher. In the original work, he is someone willing to sacrifice himself to protect his classmates, so Tiancheng Guang is still very willing to have a good relationship with him.

Other classmates went to do what they should do. Some classmates of the same grade who wanted to provoke Tiancheng Guang saw that the senior seniors had lost, so they wouldn't ask for trouble at this time. Some Red and Yellow Academy students rushed over to cheer for Tiancheng Guang.

After finishing the social interaction, Tiancheng Guang found a quiet place to sit down and prepared to have a good rest.

From just now, he felt a sense of unease.

But he couldn't figure out the source of this unease.

He opened the deck to find the Ancient Gear Golem he just got.

This card is still very—in this era.

Holy crap!

He opened his eyes wide.

"Don't!"

In the deck, Ancient Gear Beast and Ancient Gear Golem had stuck together, not the kind of sticking together because of moisture or glue, but slowly gathering, slowly turning purple, slowly—

Turning into a Fusion monster!

Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem!

Two cards... fused!
