Chapter 31: The Next Plan!

~3 min read 514 words

“There’s a lot to do, but our top priority is expanding our team!”

Qin Xiaoyu didn’t hesitate—he answered without thinking.

This issue was currently his biggest headache: game development plus operations—even if all three of them worked twenty-four hours a day, it still wouldn’t be enough.

He was short on talent in every major area: product planning, programming, art, marketing and business, operations, and more.

Originally, he’d planned to post a few recruitment ads on the official website or job boards.

After all, that was the fastest way to hire.

But after careful thought, he ultimately shelved the idea—the cost of hiring those people was too high.

It wasn’t that Qin Xiaoyu intended to be a stingy capitalist; every penny the game earned in the coming period was already allocated.

It had far more important uses.

Besides, even if he hired them, they couldn’t start working immediately—there were already few talents in Xia Country specializing in 2D games, and they’d need time to adapt and transition.

Considering all these factors, it was better to hire young people just out of school—they had no experience, but they were younger and more creative.

For other game companies, training talent themselves came with a high time cost.

But for Qin Xiaoyu, it wasn’t a problem—he only needed them to handle auxiliary tasks for now, just to keep up appearances.

So he had more than enough time to let them grow.

“Didn’t you go see Senior Sister Yun Shuqian last time?” Cai Qiu nodded after hearing him, then suddenly asked with confusion.

“I’m going tomorrow!”

Aside from recruitment, Qin Xiaoyu had no better option—he could only think of Yun Shuqian.

After answering Cai Qiu’s question, Qin Xiaoyu prepared to leave for the day.

But as he reached the door, he suddenly stopped, hesitated for a few seconds, then turned to the two and said:

“By the way, Old Cai, Wei— if you’re free these next few days, contact some overseas gaming platforms and reach out to local voice actors to negotiate their dubbing rates.”

Hearing this,

Cai Qiu and Chen Wei both froze—then, after just a moment, they reacted, their faces filled with disbelief.

“Fish Brother? You’re planning to…?”

Qin Xiaoyu nodded: “Right. I originally planned a global launch, but due to insufficient funds, I was forced to change plans and release only domestically for now.”

“Still, this needs to be done—and it can’t wait too long, or each update will become a huge problem.”

“Fish Brother, I’m not opposing your plan, but shouldn’t you reconsider? After all…”

Chen Wei frowned, trying to warn him, but feared saying too much and crushing Qin Xiaoyu’s confidence, so he trailed off.

Over the years, Xia Country’s top game companies, seeking new market growth points,

had set their sights on overseas markets years ago.

Many had even poured massive advertising budgets into overseas platforms, launching seven or eight games abroad.

Each game was a blockbuster in Xia Country—at the time and even now.

But the results… they couldn’t all be called flops; they were all crushed spectacularly.

Not a single exception!
