Chapter 65: Invitation Letter!

After the version 1.1 PV was released, the official website and the Bilibili homepage were almost entirely filled with positive reviews.

The character Zhongli, in particular, sparked endless discussion and speculation among countless players.

Just as Qin Qin Xiaoyu was reading the players' comments online, Chen Wei suddenly pushed open his office door with an excited expression, shouting at the top of his lungs:

"Brother Yu, Brother Yu! Something huge has happened!"

Hearing the shout, Qin Qin Xiaoyu looked up, glanced at Chen Wei, and retorted somewhat speechlessly, "If something huge happened, why are you so happy?"

"Ah, I was just a bit too excited! I probably didn't express myself clearly."

Seeming to realize he was overly agitated and his words failed to convey his meaning, Chen Wei took a deep breath and struggled to calm his emotions.

Then, he forwarded an email to Qin Qin Xiaoyu.

Only then did he raise an eyebrow and continue, "Brother Yu, take a look at the email; it's great news! You'll know what happened once you read it."

Seeing Chen Wei's excited expression, Qin Qin Xiaoyu, who had originally planned to shut down his computer and leave work, ultimately clicked open the email Chen Wei had sent.

The content of the email was very simple.

It was an invitation letter sent by a third-party game review organization named GA.

It notified the Genshin Impact core creative team that they had received nominations for a total of five awards, including Best New Game of April and Most Popular Game.

It invited them to travel to Hancheng to attend the award ceremony.

"I've never even heard of it; there's no need to get this excited over such an award, right?" Qin Qin Xiaoyu shook his head, feeling not the slightest ripple in his heart.

In his previous life, Genshin Impact had won so many awards that his hands went soft, and Brother Da Wei often complained that their office could barely fit all the trophies.

As the representative, Qin Qin Xiaoyu had attended no few award ceremonies.

Therefore, he truly had little interest in this kind of award ceremony organized by an unofficial organization with little influence.

"Brother Yu, you don't seem interested?"

Seeing Qin Qin Xiaoyu's extremely calm expression, Chen Wei was immediately baffled; after pondering in confusion for a long while, he finally spoke again:

"After all, this is the first time since we started our studio together that we've been invited to an award ceremony! In the past, we could only watch others accept awards while we could only look on with envy!

Moreover,

GA isn't exactly too unofficial an organization; they seem to have deep cooperation with the TAP platform. Every month, games that win Best New Game receive a week-long free recommendation within the TAP Shangcheng!"

Although under the current circumstances, a week of free promotion on the TAP platform no longer held much significant effect for a game like Genshin Impact.

Its effect was even less obvious than placing an advertisement for Genshin Impact on Bilibili.

But after thinking carefully, Qin Qin Xiaoyu somewhat understood Chen Wei's feelings.

For Ah Wei, this was the first time in his life winning an award.

After pondering for a moment,

Qin Qin Xiaoyu said with a smile, "Alright then, find some time to go accept the trophy; it'll be fun to satisfy your craving."

"This... this won't do, really won't do!!"

After hearing Qin Qin Xiaoyu's words, Chen Wei shook his head repeatedly: "Brother Yu, you are the core creator of the game Genshin Impact, so it is more appropriate for you to go.

Besides, I get nervous whenever I'm in that kind of situation; what if they ask a bunch of questions and I can't answer them? How embarrassing that would be..."

Under Chen Wei's persistent persuasion, Qin Qin Xiaoyu ultimately had no choice but to agree helplessly.

Fortunately, Hancheng was not far away, right next to Yuncheng.

Taking the high-speed rail, one could arrive in about two hours; including filling out forms and accepting the award, it would take at most half a day to finish.

"I give up on you; I'll make time tomorrow morning to go there!"
