Chapter 223: Fire Demon Battles Frost Dragon, Tywin Arrives at King's Landing

~24 min read 4,756 words

Ser Barristan, the Young Wolf Robb, Theon, the Red Viper Prince Oberyn, and commanders such as The Hound Sandor arrived beneath the walls of Harrenhal.

Behind them were the skinchanger Eagle King McCain, Bear King Byars, the Golden Lady, the Cat Girl Jeyne, the Goat Girl Gisella, the Saber-toothed Tiger Warrior Tigris, Samantha riding a Terrorbird, and Borroq riding a wild boar, among others.

The strong King of Giants Mag, leading dozens of giants riding mammoths, walked at the end of the procession.

Eagle King McCain had the sharpest eyes; relying on falcons, owls, and eagles for reconnaissance, he was the first to discover the cannons on the walls of Harrenhal.

"What is that thing?"

The Red Viper Prince Oberyn shielded his eyes with his hand and peered at the cannons.

"This contraption looks much like an oversized Myrish Lens; I suspect it is used for observing the stars or scouting enemy movements."

Eagle King McCain was not convinced.

"My apprentice Kanu is in charge of reconnaissance at Harrenhal with his birds; is there any need for a lens to scout here?"

The gates of Harrenhal slowly opened, and the Wolf King Eddard and Catelyn, accompanied by Brienne, Syrio Forel, the Aegis Zeus, the two bears of black and white, and the direwolves, came out personally to welcome Robb.

The magic dragon, the flying wolf, the koi, and the Eagle Eye appeared in the sky, and the Stark Army erupted in cheers.

The wildling leaders and skinchangers gathered around the Wolf King Eddard.

The Wolf King Eddard looked around at everyone, "Warriors, it is you who conquered the Westerlands for Stark."

Robb said: "Father, Ser Brynden Tully the Blackfish, as the Warden of the Westerlands appointed by the Wolf King Eddard, has remained in the Westerlands along with Bronze Yohn and Ser Baron Swann."

"Now, the Golden Road, the Ocean Road, and the River Road in the Westerlands all have Stark Estate garrisons and military colonies."

"The Lannisters of Lannisport, the Lannisters of Casterly Rock, and the distant and close relatives of the Lannister family have all been relocated to the North, where they will be settled in the military colonies at The Wall."

Ser Barristan said: "Wolf Prince, according to your orders, we have brought ten thousand of the Stark Army to Harrenhal today. In addition, thirty thousand more from the North, the Riverlands, and The Vale have been stationed at Stoneway, the small town of Lord Harroway, the High Castle of High Heart, the Crossroads Castle of Ruby Ford, Saltpans, Maidenpool, and other places."

Eddard said: "Well done."

The Young Wolf Robb was somewhat confused.

"Father, the army of the dead has been threatening Harrenhal; shouldn't our forces concentrate and march on King's Landing immediately? Why disperse the army into military colonies across the Riverlands?"

Eddard said: "When fighting the army of the dead, numbers are not necessarily an advantage; they may become a burden, because the dead can continuously create blue-eyed wights from corpses."

"I will lead an elite force on the campaign and will not adopt human-wave tactics."

Theon leaned in.

"Wolf Prince, I heard in the Westerlands that my second uncle, Euron, has attacked the Three Sisters."

Eddard nodded slightly, "Yes, Euron Greyjoy attacked the Three Sisters and seized the Wave Horn from the temple of the Sistermen, then took his pirate fleet south to raid the castle of Lord Celtigar on Crab Isle, seizing many valuables, including a Kraken Horn."

"According to news from the sea, Euron Greyjoy's pirate fleet has already rounded the coast of Dorne, bypassed the Arbor, Oldtown, and the Shield Islands, and is heading toward the Iron Islands."

Theon frowned, "Years ago, Euron had an affair with the salt wife of my third uncle Victarion, and my father King Balon exiled Euron. If Euron Greyjoy dares to return to the Iron Islands, my father will surely take his life."

Eddard said calmly: "Theon, Euron is no longer the man exiled by King Balon back then. Today's Euron associates with sorcerers from the East, and the crimson hull of the Silence is painted with blood."

"Forgive me for speaking plainly, but Euron Greyjoy is more dangerous than your father King Balon. If Euron Greyjoy strikes back at the Iron Islands, he is most likely aiming to seize the Seastone Chair."

Theon said worriedly: "In that case, isn't my father King Balon in danger?"

Previously, King Balon had dispatched the Iron Fleet to launch a massive invasion of the North, but the Warden of the North Jon Snow burned the Heatwave River, and the Iron Fleet was almost completely wiped out, with Ironborn captains such as the leader of Harlaw, the Reader Roderick, Cleftjaw Dagmer, and the leader of King's Port, Botley, being captured.

Now, with Euron bringing his sorcery and pirate fleet, and carrying mysterious magic toward the Iron Islands, Theon felt a vague sense of unease.

Eddard placed his hand on Theon's shoulder, "Rest assured, King Balon is protected by the Drowned God; Euron Greyjoy may not necessarily succeed."

"Theon, you are the only surviving son of King Balon; by law, the Seastone Chair should pass to you."

"If Euron attempts to lay hands on the Seastone Chair, I will mobilize the army to wipe him out."

Theon was deeply moved, "Wolf Prince, I will surely be loyal and repay the Wolf Prince's trust."

"May I write a letter to warn my father King Balon? I want to remind my father that Euron Greyjoy has returned with evil sorcery and is about to return to the Iron Islands."

Eddard nodded, "Of course you may."

King Balon was old; if Euron succeeded in a sneak attack, Euron might take the Iron Islands into his pocket without any effort.

Letting Theon warn King Balon would cause King Balon to be on guard against Euron upon receiving the reminder, and Euron and King Balon would likely fight a bloody battle on the Iron Islands; the infighting between the golden krakens would benefit the direwolves.

Prince Oberyn came to Eddard's side.

"Wolf Prince, what exactly are those iron tubes on the city walls?"

Eddard smiled: "Those are cannons, and the things on the cannons are artillery pieces. The cannons fire shells, which drove back the frost dragon of the dead."

Robb, Prince Oberyn, Ser Barristan, and the others were greatly shocked.

Prince Oberyn frowned, "The war at Harrenhal is indeed far more tragic than in the Westerlands! The dead resurrected a frost dragon?"

Eddard nodded, "What appeared in the Riverlands was Vermithor, the Dragon of Bronze of Jaehaerys I, and Dreamfyre, the dragon of the King's sister Princess Rhaena. It is said that the Blue Queen Tessarion and Seasmoke are ravaging the Stormlands from the era of the Dance of the Dragons."

"If the necromancer Ogbeta has resurrected Balerion, I would not be surprised."

Prince Oberyn was extremely depressed.

"So, as long as the Corpse Queen Serxi possesses dragon remains, she has a chance to resurrect a magic dragon? Alas! When Dorne resisted Aegon the Conqueror, they shot down Queen Rhaenys's magic dragon Meraxes at Hellholt. Later, Dorne returned the skull of Meraxes to King's Landing. After the Good King Daeron married his sister to Dorne and Dorne was incorporated into the Seven Kingdoms, they even returned all of Meraxes's remains to King's Landing."

"Had we known dragon bones could resurrect a frost dragon, Dorne should have kept the remains of Meraxes."

Barristan's attention remained fixed on the cannons on the wall.

"Wolf Prince, you say cannons can counter a frost dragon? How is that achieved?"

Subsequently, the Wolf King Eddard clapped his hands, and the musketeer Arya and Tyrion came before the crowd, holding fire guns.

They fired the fire guns, and a stone dozens of meters away shattered upon impact; Robb, Prince Oberyn, Ser Barristan, The Hound Sandor, and others were stunned.

The Hound Sandor said hoarsely: "How is this possible?"

Eddard said calmly: "This is only a fire gun; the power of a cannon is far greater."

Tyrion smirked: "Gunpowder will end the era of knights and cold weapons. Ser Barristan, The Hound, for all your martial prowess, relying only on blades, a dwarf has no chance against you."

"But, if a dwarf holds a fire gun and you hold longswords and shields, the dwarf can easily defeat you."

Barristan sighed, "This is truly a magical age; a knight's blade can hardly contend with a sorcerer's magic staff, nor can it contend with gunpowder, fire guns, and cannons."

"The skills that a knight spends decades of hard training to earn now appear so vulnerable."

Eddard gripped the wrist of Ser Barristan.

"Weapons may be updated and iterated, but the spirit of the Knight will be passed down."

Nowadays, Eddard has already dispatched Alchemists to set up military factories in Crossroads Castle, the Vale's Griffin Castle, Gulltown, the North's White Harbor, Winterfell, and the Wall, to manufacture gunpowder, fire guns, and cannons.

In Eddard's plan, in the future, every fortress and port in the North, the Vale, the Westerlands, and the Riverlands will be equipped with artillery batteries, and fire gun squads will be established everywhere.

In the future, the ships of the Wolf Fleet in the North, the Riverlands, the Westerlands, and the Vale will all be equipped with cannons; in this way, the Wolf King's fleet can easily dominate the seas, and whether it is the Arbor Fleet, the Royal Fleet, the Iron Islands fleet, or even the Sealord's fleet, none will be able to contend with the cannon-equipped Wolf Fleet.

The Wolf King Eddard said loudly: "Winter is Coming. Once winter arrives, the wights beyond the Wall will surely march south. The Night King's army is stirring, and King's Landing has plenty of dragon remains. The longer the delay, the more Ice Dragons the Corpse Queen Serxi will have."

"I have decided to march on King's Landing immediately to purify the land cursed by the Ice Dragons!"

When Stannis arrived at the foot of Storm's End with the Holy Knight Legion, Robert the Death Storm was attacking the majestic Storm's End with Ice Dragons and Giant Bats.

The Blue Queen, and Seasmoke, were only one-third the size of the Dragon of Bronze Vermithor, and did not look as terrifying, but the destructive power of the Ice Dragons was still not to be underestimated.

These two Ice Dragons were very fast; they spewed cold dragonfire, and the crossbowmen on the city walls were hit by the cold dragonfire and died screaming.

The Giant Bats swooped over Storm's End, grabbed a dozen soldiers, threw them into the air, and dropped them off the city walls.

More and more defenders fell from the city walls.

Stannis and the Death Storm met beneath Storm's End.

The Death Storm rode on a rotting warhorse: "Stannis, I am your elder brother, and even more so your King; Storm's End should submit to me!"

"Resisting the Great Other is futile, and you have seen it yourself—your soldiers simply cannot contend with the Ice Dragons!"

Stannis drew his Burning Sword: "That is not necessarily so!"

"Gros the Balrog, hear my command, destroy the Dark Servant of the Great Other!"

The earth trembled, and Gros the Balrog, covered in orange, yellow, and red flames, tore through the earth and climbed out. He brandished his burning whip, instantly strangling a dozen Giant Bats; the Giant Bats screamed as they burned and shattered, while other Giant Bats screamed and fled into the sea or to the North.

Gros the Balrog threw fireballs at the Ice Dragons Blue Queen and Seasmoke in the air; the Ice Dragons' wings began to burn, and they had no choice but to scream and flee toward the North.

The Death Storm was greatly shocked; he brandished his Skull Hammer, and the corpses of the soldiers beneath the city walls instantly turned into blue-eyed dead men and attacked the Balrog.

The Balrog smiled slightly, and some corpses that had not yet been resurrected turned into Fire Slaves with flames burning in their eyes, and they fought with the wights resurrected by the Death Storm.

The Death Storm said angrily: "What kind of monster is this?"

The Red Cloak Melisandre said: "This is the gift bestowed upon His Majesty Stannis by the Lord of Light R'hllor, the Balrog. Death Storm, you Dark Servants cannot contend with the Warrior of Light, the Balrog!"

The Death Storm was furious; he brandished his hammer and killed his way toward Stannis.

Beside them, "Tall" Ser Duncan, clad in flame armor, riding a flame warhorse and holding a Burning Sword, intercepted the Death Storm to fight.

In life, the Death Storm most respected heroes and warriors; seeing this tall burning Knight, who was exceptionally brave, he asked in surprise: "Who are you?"

Ser Duncan said: "I was once the Kingsguard Captain, Ser Duncan the Tall. Thanks to the bright light of the Lord of Light R'hllor, the Red Cloak Melisandre bestowed upon me the fire of life, allowing me to be resurrected and reborn to fight for the light and the flames against you Dark Servants."

The Death Storm said gloomily: "The necromancers once tried to resurrect you at Summerhall; I did not expect the Red Cloak Melisandre to beat them to it."

Ser Duncan used his Burning Sword to block a hammer blow from the Death Storm; the hammer was covered in frost, the Burning Sword was entwined with flames, and Fire and Ice fought continuously.

Ser Duncan said sternly: "Back then, at the foot of Storm's End, I once defeated your ancestor, the Laughing Storm Duke Lyonel; Death Storm, you are no match for me!"

Gros the Balrog continuously slaughtered the Giant Bats and wights on the battlefield; there were fewer and fewer wights on the battlefield, while the Fire Slaves resurrected by the Balrog became more and more numerous.

The Death Storm fought with Ser Duncan. At this time, the burning Warrior Dragonfly Prince, Aegon V, and Jenny of Oldstones joined the battle, surrounding the Death Storm. The Death Storm could not hold them off and had to break through the formation and flee toward the North.

Stannis looked at Gros the Balrog.

"You are worthy of being the warrior sent by the Lord of Light R'hllor; whether it is Ice Dragons, Giant Bats, Death Knights, or wights, none can contend with you."

Gros the Balrog said humbly: "Your Majesty, in a duel against the undead, ultimately, as long as my flames can suppress the Ice Dragons, we can win. Conversely, if the Ice Dragons' cold is more biting, I will be defeated or even fall."

"Blue Queen and Seasmoke are smaller Ice Dragons; if it were the Dragon of Bronze or Dreamfyre, I might not be able to win."

Stannis pointed to those Fire Slaves whose eyes were burning with flames.

"What should be done with these Fire Slaves?"

The Balrog said: "Your Majesty, the Fire Slaves will fight for Your Majesty; Your Majesty can use the Fire Slaves to fight against the wights. I must return to Your Majesty and sip the fire from the heart of the earth so that I can maintain the heat of the flames!"

The earth trembled, and Gros the Balrog burrowed into the ground; the earth was scorched red by the flames, and it took a long while for it to return to its normal temperature.

Stannis looked at the hundreds of Fire Slaves before him.

"These were all good Knights and soldiers who followed me; I did not expect that after they died, they could still be resurrected by the Lord of Light R'hllor to become Fire Slaves and fight for me."

The Onion Knight said worriedly: "Your Majesty, forgive my bluntness, but Fire Slaves are as evil as wights. All men must die, and after death, they should find rest. If we resurrect the dead to fight for ourselves, we will become as fallen and evil as the undead."

The Red Cloak Melisandre smiled.

"Onion Knight, you are truly soft-hearted. If we do not resurrect the corpses and resurrect them as Fire Slaves, the undead will resurrect them as wights."

"Just like the ghosts of Summerhall; if I had not beaten them to it and resurrected them, the necromancers would have resurrected them to become Dark Servants."

"This is a duel between light and darkness, fire and ice, life and death. If we lose, all the fireworks of the human world will be extinguished. This is a war that all of humanity cannot afford to lose."

Duke Tywin, Jaime, and Kevan boarded Gillian's Laughing Lion and entered Blackwater Bay, heading toward King's Landing.

The Royal Fleet blockaded Blackwater Bay; the surrounding Dragonstone, Driftmark, and Sharp Point on Massey's Hook were all Stannis's territory.

"We should switch to small boats to complete the infiltration." When the ship entered Blackwater Bay in the dark, Duke Tywin suggested, "The large ship Laughing Lion will surely be discovered; only small boats have a chance to enter King's Landing."

Gillian smiled and shook his head.

"Big brother, if you want to use small boats to infiltrate, you must have an excellent smuggler like the Onion Knight. Rest assured, the Laughing Lion will arrive safely."

Jaime nervously rubbed his sword belt.

"Uncle Gillian, how are you so sure?"

Gillian put his arm around the waist of his wife, Grace, who was beside him: "Grace saw it in the Crystal Ball."

Honey-haired Grace wore a crystal-colored long dress, and her plump body looked exceptionally charming; this witch was playing with a Crystal Ball at all times.

Along the way, the Laughing Lion had favorable winds; Jaime, Tywin, and Kevan all felt that Grace could control the wind direction.

Gillian could laugh and talk, but he had no body temperature; Tywin and Kevan once suspected that Gillian was also an undead, but Gillian was not afraid of fire and could drink and eat meat by the brazier just the same.

The undead do not need to eat or drink; Gillian was clearly not an undead, but he was very likely to have encountered some mysterious power to have become like this.

Grace stared at the Crystal Ball and said: "The Royal Fleet in Blackwater Bay is often attacked by the Giant Bats of King's Landing; many ships are hiding in the areas of Driftmark, Dragonstone, and Sweetport Sound. Stannis's control over Blackwater Bay is not as solid as one might imagine."

Jaime looked at the Crystal Ball with curiosity.

"There are no illusions on the Crystal Ball, how did you know?"

Grace revealed a sweet smile.

"Ser Jaime, of course the Crystal Ball has illusions, it is just that you cannot see them. I once followed the Dragon Lady to study at the Crystal Palace on the seabed of Yi Ti, and communicated with the mermaids of the Summer Sea, only then did I learn the techniques of the Crystal Ball and ocean Magic."

Jaime was shocked, "The Crystal Palace on the seabed? This is simply unbelievable."

Duke Tywin said indifferently: "Thinking of the resurrected Rhaegar Targaryen, Robert the Death Storm, the Undead everywhere, and the reborn Magic Dragon, I do not doubt Grace's legendary experience at all."

Grace said gently: "Duke Tywin is clearly more knowledgeable about witchcraft."

Ser Kevan said: "When we were in the Westerlands, there was a witch, the Golden Lady, who served the Lannisters. However, after she was captured by the Stark Army, she immediately defected to the Starks. Now, she is serving under the Wolf King Eddard."

Duke Tywin looked displeased, "Kevan, Grace is Gillian's wife, our sister-in-law, how could the Golden Lady compare to her? Grace is a member of the Lannisters."

Grace smiled: "Duke Tywin truly has honeyed lips. To be recognized by Duke Tywin and become a member of the Lannisters, how heartwarming!"

In fact, Duke Tywin did not trust Grace at all, but he needed to borrow the witch's power to retake the Westerlands and defeat the Starks and Stannis.

Jaime clenched his fists. "The Undead wizard Ogbeta, who bewitched Cersei, desecrated the Seven, and controls the government, I must kill him!"

Duke Tywin said: "Jaime, doing that would be too reckless. The correct approach is to use the Undead wizard to help the Lannisters win back the Westerlands, and win the Iron Throne and this war."

Grace said: "Duke Tywin is right. King's Landing is headed by the Undead wizard Ogbeta, and the Undead are powerful. The Lannisters must not come into conflict with the Undead wizard."

Gillian said: "We should win over Queen Regent Cersei. With the support of Queen Regent Cersei, the Lannisters can use the Undead to wipe out our enemies."

In the Throne Room of King's Landing, Cersei sat on the Iron Throne, pouting.

"Ogbeta, didn't you say that with the Ice Dragon, we could easily defeat the Wolf King Eddard at Harrenhal and Stannis at Storm's End?"

"As a result, the Ice Dragon Dream Fire and Vermithor were repelled by the Wolf King Eddard's Cannon, and Stannis at Storm's End used a Fire Demon to easily defeat the Blue Queen and Seasmoke."

The Undead wizard Ogbeta said apologetically: "Your Majesty, plans cannot keep up with changes. I did not expect that the Wolf King Eddard would have prepared such a powerful weapon as a Cannon, nor did I expect that Stannis would summon a Fire Demon at Summerhall to fight the Ice Dragon."

Cersei said angrily: "Didn't you go to Summerhall? Why didn't you detect the Fire Demon underground?"

The Undead wizard Ogbeta wore a flattering smile.

"Your Majesty, fire is the mortal enemy of ice. We of the Undead belong to ice Magic, and we are mortal enemies with fire. How could I have detected the existence of a Fire Demon in the deep heart of Summerhall?"

"When I went to Summerhall, I wanted to resurrect the ghosts of Summerhall."

Cersei said gloomily: "As a result, the Red Cloak Melisandre resurrected the ghosts of Summerhall! Ser Duncan the Tall, the Dragonfly Prince, Jenny of Oldstones, and Aegon V were all resurrected! They became Burning Warriors."

The Undead wizard Ogbeta said: "Your Majesty need not worry. The only real threats are the Wolf King Eddard's Cannon and the Fire Demon; the Burning Warriors cannot sway the outcome of the war."

"This is destined to be a short autumn, and the cold winter is coming soon. The Night King has already assembled a great army in the Land of Always Winter, ready to march south to attack The Wall at any time."

"I will resurrect more Ice Dragons, and by then, the Fire Demon will be destined to be unable to resist the Ice Dragons."

Cersei flared her nostrils, "I command you to order the Night King to set out immediately! If he leads his troops poorly, I will replace him. Rhaegar Targaryen or Robert the Death Storm can both take the Night King's place."

In Cersei's view, the Night King was just a servant given to her by the Great Other; she never took the Night King seriously.

Whenever Cersei was overestimating her own abilities, she appeared quite cute, and the Undead wizard had to suppress his laughter.

"That is only natural. Your Majesty certainly has the power to judge the Night King."

"Furthermore, Your Majesty, I saw in the darkness that your father Duke Tywin, Ser Jaime, your uncle Kevan, and others are about to arrive at King's Landing."

Cersei sneered.

"They lost the Westerlands, lost Casterly Rock and Lannisport, and lost the Lannister family business in disgrace, and now they come to King's Landing to rely on me? When I was in King's Landing and asked the Westerlands for help, they didn't send a single soldier to support me."

The Undead wizard Ogbeta revealed a sinister smile.

"Your Majesty, why not let me send Giant Bats to kill them, and then resurrect them to become dark servants? In this way, these people will all become servants of Queen Regent Cersei."

Cersei shook her head, "Forget it! They are my kin after all, and blood is thicker than water."

The Undead wizard Ogbeta lowered his voice, "Your Majesty, I saw in an illusion that your uncle Gillian is also in the group, and his Laughing Lion is carrying your kin."

Cersei was astonished.

"Not long after I married Robert, Uncle Gillian took the Laughing Lion on an adventure to the East, saying he was going to retrieve the Valyrian Steel sword Oathkeeper for the Lannisters. He has been missing for many years, and I always thought he was dead. To think he is still alive."

The Undead wizard Ogbeta said: "Your Majesty should be wary of this Gillian and his witch wife. The Great Other has already sent us a warning in a dark illusion."

At the Mud Gate harbor, Cersei and the Undead wizard Ogbeta welcomed the arrival of Tywin, Jaime, Ser Kevan, and the others.

Cersei wore a crimson dress, and around her neck she wore a Moonstone and Sapphire Necklace, looking magnificent. In comparison, Tywin, Jaime, Kevan, and the others looked much more impoverished; having sailed on the sea for so many days, everyone smelled of fish.

Duke Tywin said: "Cersei, it is good to see you."

Cersei forced a smile, "Father, when I was surrounded in King's Landing by Stannis's army and asked the Westerlands for help, I hoped day and night that Father and Jaime would bring the Lannister army to save me. It is a pity that no army arrived. I suppose Father did not receive the letter sent by the Raven?"

Duke Tywin sighed, "I did indeed receive the letter at the time, but unfortunately, I really could not spare any troops."

Cersei gave a light snort, "As a result, you lost the entire Westerlands, and the Direwolf took away everything the Lannisters had in the Westerlands, and only then did you remember the Lannisters in King's Landing?"

Jaime said angrily: "Sister, you are in King's Landing, persecuting the followers of the Seven and desecrating the Seven. The High Septon is rebuilding the Church in Oldtown and has openly called on all the Knights and followers of the Seven in the world to overthrow the Lannister rule. The Knights of the Westerlands defected in droves, which is why we lost the battle. This is all your fault. Are you crazy? How could you persecute the followers of the Seven?"

Cersei sneered, "Brother, I am the Queen Regent. I do as I please. Do you dare to accuse me? Have you forgotten who I am?"

Ser Kevan said: "Cersei, Jaime, now that the Lannisters have lost the Westerlands, our kin have been sent by the Starks to The Wall, the Wolf King Eddard is garrisoning Harrenhal, and Stannis is marching on the Stormlands. For the Lannisters to fight among ourselves now would be most unwise. We Lannisters need to unite to fight against the Starks and Stannis."

Gillian leaned over, "That is correct. Cersei is the supreme Queen and the undisputed leader of the Lannisters. We must unconditionally support Queen Regent Cersei."

Cersei looked at the thin Gillian, "Uncle Gillian, you are still the one who knows how to talk. You have been gone on adventures for so many years, and I have been worried to death about you."

"Have you found the ancestral sword of the Lannisters?"

Gillian presented the sword Oathkeeper with both hands.

"This is the sword of the Kings of the Rock through the ages. I found it in the Valyrian Ruins. A wizard wandering in the Valyrian Ruins told me that this sword should be worn by the Lannister Queen, Cersei."

"I traveled across mountains and seas just to offer this sword to Your Majesty!"

Queen Regent Cersei gripped the sword and immediately felt as great as the ancient Kings of the Rock. Cersei had always dreamed of being a man, of being the supreme King, and of being the Lion King among the Lannister lions. Every word Gillian said spoke to Cersei's heart.

"Uncle Gillian, you are truly thoughtful. I have decided to appoint you as my Master of Ships!"

Subsequently, Gillian introduced Grace to Cersei.

"This is Grace, the wife I married during my adventure. She is a witch from the East and possesses powerful Magic."

Grace said humbly, "I am happy to serve Her Majesty the Empress Dowager."
