Chapter 80
And as for my enemy, the Doctor, who is said to possess strength on the level of a Demon God, when will I ever possess the power to take my revenge?!
However, when it comes to revenge, Diluc is unwilling to let others do the work for him; otherwise, he would not mind using the entire Dawn Winery to place a bounty on the Doctor's life.
"Mr. Wendi, is the current state of Mondstadt really correct?" After a long silence, Jean finally looked up and asked Wendi.
"Are you referring to the forgetting of our heroes?" Wendi was stunned, then asked with a wry smile.
"Yes, whether it is the Four Winds or the Crimson Witch, none have received the treatment they deserve. They protected Mondstadt, yet the people of Mondstadt have forgotten them and betrayed them!" Jean looked at Wendi with burning eyes.
"That is why I became a bard, hoping that everyone would not forget history!" Wendi spread his hands and said, "The history of the Lawrences is still remembered today, and Mondstadt has always been vigilant against the emergence of the next Lawrence.
Yet, it has forgotten much of its own history; this is Mondstadt's failing."
Jean pursed her lips; she was merely feeling lost and wanted to do something for these heroes of Mondstadt.
The Crimson Witch, Rosalyne, once saved Mondstadt, only to be betrayed by it. Perhaps her joining the Fatui is related to that betrayal?
If it were most people, they would likely have felt disappointed in Mondstadt at that time, right?
And then there is Senior Diluc, who left the Knights of Favonius back then precisely because they could not grant his father a just reputation.
"Lord Barbatos, I wish to face history squarely. Once I return, I intend to investigate the past mistakes of the Knights of Favonius and expose them all.
A Knights of Favonius that dares not face its own mistakes cannot continue to lead Mondstadt forward!" Jean took a deep breath and looked at Wendi with full expectation: "Furthermore, I also intend to write those stories into books."
