Chapter 21: Alliance

"Golden Lock, Eight Gates, Break Illusion and Restore Truth. Open for me!"

A loud shout drew the attention of Jiang Yan, Ma Ke, and the others.

In a pavilion not far away, under Guizhong's shocked gaze, Morax, wielding the power of the Geo element, was doing something to the stone lock in his hand.

It seemed... he was solving a puzzle?

As the holder of the Geo Archon, although Morax's strength had not yet reached its peak, his affinity for the Geo attribute was undeniable by anyone.

His fingers danced up and down; in mere moments, the problem that had troubled Guizhong for hundreds of years was solved by him.

"This... this is already solved?"

Gazing at the stone lock before her that had already been opened, Guizhong still found it hard to believe.

"Naturally."

Morax smiled, lifted the teacup, took a light sip, and savored it carefully.

"Ahem, since I have solved it, then the contract between us..."

After a while, seeing Guizhong still not coming to her senses, Morax coughed lightly to remind her.

"Of course! You lost, so let's proceed according to the contract."

Guizhong's tone still carried a hint of disbelief; she had been troubled by this lock for hundreds of years! He solved it in an instant?

Guizhong's words were indeed unexpected by Morax.

He had thought this capricious Dust God would renege on her promise.

"Hey! What do you want me to do? I've already agreed to those conditions you mentioned before!"

Guizhong said it carelessly.

Jiang Yan and the others, who had already gathered around, pricked up their ears and listened carefully.

"In that case..."

Morax looked at Guizhong.

"Anything at all is fine, right..."

"Of course! Those who break their word shall be punished by the eating of rock!"

Guizhong's tone was somewhat helpless, after all, she had lost.

A loss is a loss; Guizhong acknowledged this point.

Morax gazed at Guizhong, his lips curling slightly.

"I want you... to guard this place for a thousand years!"

Guizhong looked at Morax and nodded with a smile.

"Of course, my lord Geo God."

At this moment, Guizhong officially became Morax's subordinate, serving Morax.

The two Archons formally formed an alliance from this moment on, with Morax as the leader.
