Chapter 833

Tahaer frowned deeply. Since he truly had no other choice, he said, "I request that my side be allowed to dispatch reconnaissance units that possess almost no combat capability to patrol. If they accidentally enter within the 100,000-kilometer radius, your side must not attack."

He still did not trust Yun Shen's integrity; in the face of a World Wonder, all promises were nonsense.

Yun Shen thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "That is acceptable, but these reconnaissance units must undergo verification by our side to ensure they truly possess no combat capability."

Even for reconnaissance units, as long as their level is high enough, claims of having no combat capability are all lies.

"Agreed."

Tahaer had no objections, as long as he could ensure the Blue Star Region could not occupy the Void Isolated Island in a short period of time.

Both sides quickly reached a consensus, each harboring their own ulterior motives.

Tahaer was thinking that once they invaded the Blue Star Region, the Void Isolated Island would naturally become a possession of their Deep Blue Star Region.

Yun Shen was thinking that once the God Clan invaded in a few months, he would wipe out all the Void Remnants here in one go.

Through the intentional dissemination by both sides, this news quickly reached the surrounding civilized regions.

This made countless foreign lords feel it was a pity; in this way, they would have to wait until both sides went to war in a few months before deciding.

They only hoped the Blue Star Region could hold out for a bit longer, otherwise, this World Wonder would likely fall into the hands of the God Clan.

It was also on that very day that the fifth Town Ranking Competition for County No. 521 began.

【County Announcement: County No. 521 has initiated the fifth Town Ranking Competition. The theme for this event is "God of War." Settlement will occur in seven days. If all lords complete the challenge of the God of War Trial Tower, settlement will be automatically advanced.】

【During the fifth Town Ranking Competition, all lords possess one opportunity to project themselves into the God of War Trial Tower. Projections may carry any items; subsequent changes are impossible. The challenge ends automatically upon death. (All changes occurring in the projected state will not affect reality.)】

【Lords who join a town during the Town Ranking Competition are not eligible to challenge the God of War Trial Tower.】

【At the time of settlement, a comprehensive statistical analysis will be conducted based on all territories within each town to settle the God of War Index.】

【Since the God of War Index is linked to the strength of a town's lords and involves privacy, only real-time rankings will be published. The specific God of War Index can only be viewed by the Mayor and can be set for public display at the Mayor's discretion.】

【Based on each town's God of War Index, the concentration of spiritual energy will be permanently increased to varying degrees, and the refresh rate of resources such as wild monsters, treasure chests, and ore veins within the town will be permanently improved. The higher the God of War Index, the stronger the effect.】

【Towns that rank in the top ten for performance can also receive additional rewards and a multiplier for their God of War index.】

【1st Place Reward: Mayor Reputation +1000, God of War Index ×10.】

【2nd Place Reward: Mayor Reputation +600, God of War Index ×5.】

【3rd Place Reward: Mayor Reputation +300, God of War Index ×3.】

【4th-10th Place Reward: Mayor Reputation +100, God of War Index ×2.】

Upon seeing the content of this Town Ranking Competition, the corner of Yun Shen's mouth twitched involuntarily; he had indeed encountered the Town Ranking Competition least suited for Primal Beginning Town.

With only himself left as a lord in Primal Beginning Town, he faced a natural disadvantage in the Town Ranking Competition, and everything had to rely on himself.

Yun Shen knew his combat power was formidable; with Legendary talent, he had no rivals. Even if he encountered a God of War lord with Mythical talent, under the amplification of numerous World Rare Objects, he feared few were his match.

However, the strength of one person is ultimately limited. The higher one climbs in the God of War Trial Tower, the greater the difficulty, and it is said no one has ever reached the top floor.

Yun Shen was now troubled; could it be that he would only be able to end this Town Ranking Competition in a sloppy manner?

"Wait, any items..."

Yun Shen suddenly thought, the Human Emperor Soul-Suppressing Banner should also count as an item, right?

According to textbooks, World Rare Objects can indeed be projected into the God of War Trial Tower together.

It is just that the abilities of some World Rare Objects cannot be used within the God of War Trial Tower.

Like the Bottomless Pit, it can only be used within the territory; Yun Shen cannot make a giant abyss mouth appear on the ground in the God of War Trial Tower to swallow all enemies.

And the Bottomless Pit's ability to recruit Abyss Shadow Concubines naturally cannot be used either, otherwise, wouldn't it allow people to rely on bugs to bring troops inside?

But the Human Emperor Soul-Suppressing Banner is very special. Although the ghost soldiers refined by it possess consciousness and souls and are regarded as territory residents, they do not fall into the category of heroes or troops...

In this battle, the Human Emperor Soul-Suppressing Banner not only collected the souls of all enemies killed by Yun Shen's forces, but when Yun Shen personally took action to kill enemies, he did not forget to actively collect the souls killed by others.

This resulted in the Human Emperor Soul-Suppressing Banner currently containing countless soul bodies that were being gradually converted into ghost soldiers!

Zhao Shuiyun, Zhu Ying, and the others also had strange expressions when they saw the announcement content.

"Brother Yun, this time..."

"It's over, it's the God of War Trial Tower."

Hearing the voices of the two, other lords not belonging to County No. 521 also looked at each other, knowing the three had initiated another Town Ranking Competition.

Yun Shen's combat power was plain for all to see, but the power of one person is limited.

Let alone a Legendary-grade Tower Defense lord, even a Mythical-grade God of War lord's individual strength might not be comparable to the God of War Index a whole town could obtain.

"I'll go back and prepare first; you all should hurry as well."

The challenge time is only seven days; every second wasted could potentially reduce the God of War Index Yun Shen could obtain.

Zhao Shuiyun suggested, "Then let's go back too."

"Mm."

Zhu Ying nodded and followed.

Since the God Clan did not intend to go to war with the Blue Star Region, there was no need to waste time here.

With the agreement between the two sides, other civilized regions would likely not dare to invade, otherwise, they would have to endure a combined beating from the Blue Star Region and the Deep Blue Star Region.

And after this announcement was released, while some sighed in pity for Primal Beginning Town, others naturally gloated.

For instance, the Anti-Yun Shen Alliance, which lacked the qualifications to participate in the battle against the Angel Clan army from the Light Dome Realm, mocked Yun Shen's indecisiveness even more ruthlessly. ===== CHAPTER 835 =====
