Chapter 657: A world unfriendly to ordinary people, a girl barrier-master begging! (2/3)

Chen Yang walked through the streets of this city, Stanlo, with the two young women.

There were many humans coming and going, and occasionally one could see other races from different worlds; through Chen Yang's inspection, these were all summons of Summoner class-changers.

Furthermore.

Chen Yang discovered that in this city, there were many ordinary people with average talent. Although these ordinary people were technically class-changers, in reality, they were no different from those who hadn't changed classes at all...

Because their levels were all Level 1.

From the moment they changed classes, through the decades that followed, they had absolutely no opportunity to improve or develop.

To the entire world of Atlantis, their only significance was their role in reproduction, holding onto the hope of producing offspring with higher talent.

Of course.

Some research on Blue Star has already shown that if offspring are born from the union of class-changers with higher talent, their talent will also be higher.

Although it is not absolute, there is a certain pattern to it.

Therefore, in Atlantis, the offspring of these ordinary people also tend to be ordinary; the probability of giving birth to a class-changer with higher talent is very low.

But there is no other way.

In the Atlantis world, to go to the surface to level up, one must have the protection of top-tier powerhouses, otherwise, accidents happen very easily.

There are also some bold individuals who want to gamble on their luck and head to the surface privately.

Although the mortality rate for this is high, there are indeed some who can gradually improve and become stronger in an environment without protection.

For example, those grave robbers that Aisina killed in the ancient castle space earlier were like that.

In fact.

In Atlantis, as long as one's talent is sufficiently powerful, one basically never lacks resources.

Only those from unconventional paths need to resort to strange things.

"This world... is too unfriendly to ordinary people."

"However, for powerhouses with talent, the development speed is even faster."

Gui Meixi gently brushed her hair, looking somewhat moved.

"This world can only make such a choice."

Chen Yang shook his head and said, "It is the environment of this world that has caused human society to form such a structure."

"And the environment of this world is the way it is precisely because there aren't enough top-tier powerhouses to keep monsters from occupying the surface."

"If I hadn't appeared on Blue Star, it would likely have been the same there in the future."

At this moment.

Chen Yang noticed a girl on the side of the road wearing somewhat tattered clothes, kneeling on the street begging. The passing crowds paid her little attention, and some even avoided her with disgust.

Clearly.

In Stanlo City, and even in the entire Atlantis world, this phenomenon was very common.

Some ordinary class-changers never increase their level in their entire lives, suffering from the torments of aging, sickness, and death.

Although the medical conditions in this world are already quite good, people at the bottom naturally have no right to enjoy top-tier medical care; even finding a mediocre Priest class-changer to treat an illness would cost them their life's wealth.

Under these circumstances, many people's parents die very young.

Then, these orphans are taken in by social welfare institutions.

But in reality, welfare institutions are not true welfare institutions. When they reach 18 and awaken their talent, if their talent is unremarkable, they are kicked out of the institution, and no other organization is willing to accept them.

At this point, these class-changers can only drift on the streets, each finding some unremarkable work.

Some who have a bit of looks can even engage in special businesses.

However.

Chen Yang had passed by many beggars earlier and hadn't stopped, but when he passed by this girl, he paused slightly.

Although the girl's clothes were ragged, she was wrapped up tightly.

With her little head lowered, an ordinary person really couldn't see what she looked like, only that she was dirty.

"Class: Barrier-Master, E-grade talent, auxiliary magic barrier effect increased by 0.45%!"

In fact. ===== CHAPTER 658 =====
