Chapter 724

After counting the harvest from this trip,

it was about time.

Li Yao packed up and walked toward the mountaintop.

While resting, Li Yao didn't go too far.

The distance between a Chess Piece and a Chess Player cannot be too great.

The maximum distance for the second advancement

is one thousand meters.

He wondered if this distance could increase after the third advancement.

As he approached the peak,

the sounds of killing and the wailing of monsters became more and more distinct.

The sounds were coming from the back of the mountain.

This was a good thing;

it proved that the front line was advancing to the mountaintop according to plan.

Occupying an excellent position could significantly reduce casualties.

As Li Yao walked along,

he noticed several practitioners cleaning up the battlefield,

collecting monster materials and dropped equipment.

Upon seeing Li Yao,

they all nodded and greeted him with great respect.

"Senior Li Yao, your loot has all been collected. General Xue said to hand these things over to you after returning to Jingyu."

Someone trotted up to Li Yao and said.

"Senior? Are you also a student at Jingyu?" Li Yao asked.

The other person was quite young and looked somewhat familiar.

"Yes!" The person nodded.

"Senior Li Yao was resting, so you don't know about what happened later."

"A few hours ago, Principal Hua announced the entry into Level 3 combat readiness."

"Major universities have all sent students to support."

"We at Jingyu also have battlefield tasks. Those above the rank of Vice-Captain can participate in the war, but for student-level ones like us,"

"we can only do some logistics." The speaker scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

He had been enrolled for three years and was still only at the student level.

Senior Li Yao had been enrolled for less than two months and was already at the Vice-Captain level!

The gap was simply too huge!

Moreover,

according to what those Vice-Captains said,

after this war,

Senior Li Yao would very likely be promoted directly to the Captain level!

"I see, thank you."

"You're welcome."

A few minutes later, Li Yao arrived at the mountaintop.

A hundred meters below

was the front line composed of practitioners.

Thousands of people lined up, looking quite spectacular.

Skills were released wave after wave in an orderly fashion.

Students from major universities were the most unwelcome group when they first entered the battlefield.

They had the best benefits but lacked practical experience,

often making moves that baffled the veterans.

But in situations like this, with organized long-range bombardment,

the academy faction was the most popular.

Through systematic teaching by mentors, they could release every skill to its limit!

Even with the same attributes and the same skill,

their damage was higher than that of veterans who had just advanced and taken the military path!

With practitioners from major universities present,

the war evolved into a 'mountain climbing contest' for the Titan demons.

And those 【Mortar Scythe Insects】 no longer posed any threat.

Everyone was keeping an eye on the insect monsters;

they were killed the moment they showed their heads!
