Chapter 1188: The Ice Witch and the Frozen World

Su Yang pulled out a map, oriented himself, and told the Storm Eagle: "Fly north. Let me know whenever you spot a city."

After giving orders to the Storm Eagle, Su Yang released the Rainbow Illusory Butterfly.

"Mo Yi, and Rainbow Illusory Butterfly, you two are the only ones who haven't reached Emperor rank yet. This time, besides inspecting the major cities, my other mission is to help you both ascend to Emperor level. Do you understand?"

"Master, I'll work hard!"

The Rainbow Illusory Butterfly nodded as well.

Both pet beasts were exceptionally gifted and refused to fall behind Su Yang's other pets.

Their failure to break through to Emperor rank was entirely due to objective factors.

Mo Yi was born too late and requires double the experience to level up.

Even with Su Yang deliberately prioritizing resources, it's hard to close this gap in a short time.

The Rainbow Illusory Butterfly's delay stems from tactical requirements and its slight deficiency in burst capability as a soul-type.

By "slight deficiency in burst capability," I mean compared to Elder Yan Mo and Earth Rampager Bear!

It's not that the Rainbow Illusory Butterfly's burst capability is truly lacking!

It's just that during the last battle against the Beast Emperor Legion in the southeast, the Rainbow Illusory Butterfly gained less benefit than Su Yang's other pets.

But regardless, the Rainbow Illusory Butterfly, with its strange soul-type abilities, remains critically important to Su Yang.

Su Yang's northern map came from the Northern Military Bureau's De Rong.

Besides clearly marking the locations of all major northern cities, it was densely annotated with hazardous zones.

These hazardous zones crisscrossed each other, with many areas merging into vast regions.

Different danger levels were assigned based on the ranks of ferocious beasts previously encountered within them.

Level One hazardous zones frequently host Platinum-tier ferocious beasts, but Starlight-tier or higher beasts are virtually absent.

Level Two hazardous zones frequently host Starlight-tier ferocious beasts, but King-tier or higher beasts have rarely appeared.
