Chapter 1194: The Possible Truth Behind the Great Catastrophe Three Hundred Years Ago
"I hope the problem won't be too big!"
Liu Yan stared at Su Yang's retreating figure and said softly.
The wind and waves were fierce, but Su Yang didn't care at all.
The Storm Eagle possessed the Son of Storm talent; within the storm, it would instead be in its element.
But not caring about the wind and waves didn't mean Su Yang was truly at ease.
Su Yang remained vigilant at all times; the moment his Crisis Sense talent activated, or he detected danger, he would immediately teleport away.
The gale grew fiercer and fiercer, the storm gradually taking shape, and terrifying lightning exploding within the cloud layer.
Su Yang thought for a moment, then still decided to let the Storm Eagle fly up above the high-altitude cloud layer.
The Storm Eagle spread its wings and soared high, breaking through the thick cloud layer, and looking down below, the cloud layer seemed to be churned by a tremendous force.
A day later, that spatial-type energy grew more and more terrifying.
Even the Storm Eagle began to be affected; Su Yang, sitting on its back, began to feel violent jolting.
"Void Spirit, how about it? Can you determine what's going on? What exactly is wrong with space?"
"Master, feel it — besides spatial-type energy, are other types of energy also abnormal?"
"It really is!" Su Yang couldn't help but complain, "This is bizarre. I feel like the fire-type energy in the air is incredibly dense and active, almost catching up to the water-type energy... Storm Eagle, look below the cloud layer — is there land down there?"
"No, there isn't even an island below!" the Storm Eagle replied concisely, "It's still an endless ocean."
"That's strange!"
This matter was, of course, strange.
As everyone knew, in a marine environment, the water-type energy in the air was the densest and most active, and to a certain extent, it would amplify the strength of water-type beasts.
By the same logic, in the north of the Federation, the further north one went, the colder the climate, and the denser and more active the ice-type energy became.
But right now, Su Yang was clearly in the deep sea!
In a typical marine environment, fire-type energy would be somewhat suppressed... but the result!
"Void Spirit, do you have any ideas?"
"Master, I think this might be a spatial collision and fusion!"
"Spatial collision and fusion?" Su Yang asked in a low voice, "You mean, the spatial world we're in, and another world?"
Ever since obtaining the Hell Blood Vine Flower, Su Yang had known of the existence of other worlds.
From the Void Spirit's fragments of words, he could barely deduce this intelligence.
"Correct!" the Void Spirit affirmed, "Master, have you ever thought about why, in your world, three hundred years ago, there clearly weren't beasts like us, yet suddenly, flora and fauna all began to evolve madly, and even humans gradually began to appear as Beast Tamers?"
"You mean, another world fused with our world? And thereby affected our world?"
"Very likely!" the Void Spirit analyzed, "From a spatial perspective, this is the most reasonable explanation. That other world is probably also overrun with fierce beasts; the rules and scale of that world should far exceed those of the world Master is in. This caused your world to be greatly affected, with part of its rules beginning to align with that unknown world. When the rules of the two worlds are nearly identical, a smooth fusion may occur."
"Really?"
"This is only my inference!" the Void Spirit said, "I've never personally witnessed two worlds fusing, but I feel my inference is very likely correct. Master only needs to get closer to the center of the intense spatial fluctuations and feel the source of that fire-type energy... If it comes from that center, it proves my inference is very likely correct. The fire-type energy probably comes from that world. The location where that world intersects with this one may be filled with massive fire-type energy."
"Understood!"
Su Yang took a deep breath.
He clearly understood what this discovery meant.
If the fusion of the two worlds was real, it could explain Earth's anomaly.
It meant the Federation might be in big trouble.
Another world — a world larger in scale than Earth — would absolutely possess even more terrifying fierce beasts, or perhaps intelligent beings.
Su Yang, with a grim face, directed the Storm Eagle to accelerate toward the storm's center.
The so-called storm center was, in fact, easy to determine.
Just look at the direction the cloud layer was churning.
Not long after the Void Spirit made its judgment, the Storm Eagle continued flying toward the storm's center, and Su Yang detected that the fire-type energy was growing more and more active, completely surpassing the water-type energy.
The Storm Eagle also reported to Su Yang that it had encountered a powerful, bizarre air current.
This air current seemed to be centered on a single stronghold, blasting outward in all directions, air saturated with dense fire-type energy.
The Storm Eagle changed direction several times and found the air current came from the same place.
"That should be it, let's continue!" Su Yang said softly after discovering the Void Spirit's internal energy had fully recovered, "Perhaps today, I can uncover the reason for the world's upheaval three hundred years ago."
The Storm Eagle replied: "Yes, Master, hold on tight!"
"Alright!"
Half a day later, Su Yang could clearly sense that scorching aura.
He could feel that intensely oppressive, blazing air current.
Water vapor filled the air, as if even the seawater had been evaporated.
Only a Storm Eagle possessing a mythic-grade Son of Storm could carry Su Yang flying toward the storm's center.
