Chapter 1341

Xia Na stepped forward at once and said, "General Xu, I want to follow General Su Yang too—I still have so much to learn from him!"

"Fine!"

General Xu rubbed his face in frustration.

He knew trying to poach him was hopeless.

Fortunately, Su Yang was still serving the Lianbang Army.

As for Liu Mengyun, General Xu didn't even consider her.

He had asked Liu Mengyun's opinion before; now she wasn't just Su Yang's deputy, she was his wife.

No matter how hard he tried to poach, he couldn't poach someone's wife.

"Deputy Liu, Deputy Jiazi, and Xia Na—you've worked hard these past two months. Go rest first; I need to speak with General Su Yang."

"Yes, General Xu!"

Seeing Liu Mengyun and the others leave, Su Yang grinned and said, "General Xu, they're the ones who didn't want to leave—you can't blame me!"

Su Yang didn't care about General Xu trying to poach him.

After all, the man did it openly and honestly, not sneakily or by covertly luring them away.

If he could poach his people right to their face, Su Yang would accept it!

General Xu snapped, "How dare I blame you? I'd rather put you on a pedestal right now!"

"I'm not dead yet!"

General Xu glared at Su Yang: "I don't want you dead!"

"I knew it—General Xu can't bear to lose me!"

Su Yang's thick skin left General Xu powerless to respond.

"Enough with the nonsense!" General Xu thought for a moment and said, "What's your current cultivation level?"

"Imperial Rank!"

"What?"

"Not just me—Liu Mengyun is Imperial Rank too," Su Yang admitted. "Jiazi is nearly there as well."

"What about Xia Na?"

"You've got sharp eyes—she just broke through to Royal Rank!"

"That's why I felt pressure from her…"

General Xu was numb now.

Facing Su Yang, he couldn't even muster a look of surprise.

It seemed that no matter what impossible thing happened to Su Yang, it was perfectly normal!

General Xu suddenly asked, "What's your secret?"

"None!" Su Yang shook his head vigorously. "They're naturally gifted!"

General Xu gave Su Yang a skeptical look, then sighed.

He knew he couldn't press further.

Even if there was a secret, if Su Yang didn't want to tell, what could he do?

Su Yang, Liu Mengyun, Jiazi, and Xia Na's combined strength could flip the entire Lianbang Army upside down!

General Xu thought for a moment and said, "General Su, get ready."

"Ready for what?"

"Ready for promotion to Senior General!"

"But the battle merits haven't been submitted yet!"

"For you, battle merits are irrelevant now," General Xu said. "Also, I'll promote Liu Mengyun and Jiazi to Lieutenant General, and Xia Na to Major General. Tell them."

"You're still trying to poach my people?"

"Don't be so stingy!" General Xu sighed. "I'm not poaching them—I'm promoting them. They've earned it as Lianbang Army officers…"

Su Yang was about to speak when General Xu continued: "I'll propose to the Lianbang High Command the creation of a special unit called the Huaxia Security Special Operations Group. It reports directly to me. You'll be its leader; Liu Mengyun and Jiazi will be deputy leaders; Xia Na… Xia Na will be a member!"

A General-level member!

This Special Operations Group is awesome!

"You may participate in any matter concerning Huaxia Lianbang security," General Xu hesitated, then added, "When necessary, your group may mobilize the Eight Military Departments' Beast Tamer forces for assistance!"

"Damn, you're giving me this much power—aren't you afraid I'll sideline you?"

General Xu spoke slowly, each word deliberate: "General Su, if you've got the guts, go ahead and sideline me."

Su Yang had the feeling General Xu wanted to quit.

"I was joking!"

General Xu rolled his eyes at Su Yang: "Say it but won't do it—are you even a real man?"

"Whether I'm a real man is none of your business!"

"… "

"You've all worked hard lately. In three days, I'll call a meeting of the Lianbang High Command. Bring Liu Mengyun and the others—you all have the right to attend," General Xu said. "We'll go over everything then."

"Alright!"

If the Huaxia Security Special Operations Group was formed, Liu Mengyun, Jiazi, and Xia Na would all be working under him—even if they were promoted to General, technically the Lianbang Army wasn't poaching him.

Of course, Su Yang knew what General Xu was up to.

But he chose to accept it!

After all, the Lianbang High Command owed him respect—they wouldn't dare do anything extreme.

Maybe he could even get them to assign him some missions along the way.

Moreover, Su Yang is willing to serve the Federation.

What else would he do?

After all, it's his own country, and the Federation hasn't treated him poorly!

After Su Yang returned to rest, Marshal Xu gathered all other Federation high officials the next day and informed them.

When the Federation high officials heard of the strengths of Su Yang, Liu Mengyun, Sovereign Jiazi, and Xia Na, all of them fell silent.

Marshal Xu asked: "Liu Mengyun, Sovereign Jiazi, and Xia Na are merely Su Yang's subordinates. I wish to promote them—do you have any objections?"

"None!"

"No objections!"

"…"

As a Royal-level Beast Tamer, one of the Federation's top combatants, being promoted to General naturally drew no objection from the Federation high officials.

These precious experts must be carefully won over.

If they leave the Military Department and form their own organization, the Federation high officials would be even more troubled!
