Chapter 1348: We All Believe in Luck!
The assembly of high-ranking officials of the Federation looked at one another, none knowing how to answer.
"They want Xia Na to bring them some more luck!"
Marshal Xu's voice came from behind them,
The Federation officials parted, automatically clearing a path for Marshal Xu.
At that moment, the door behind Liu Mengyun was pushed open once more.
Su Yang was wearing a pair of military trousers, shuffling along in his shoes, with a white shirt thrown over his upper body.
Liu Mengyun had told him to rest a while longer, but with so many people standing at the door, how could Su Yang possibly sleep?
"Just a bit of luck?" Su Yang said, puzzled. "Was all that really necessary? That thing isn't much use — if it were on the battlefield, maybe luck would matter a little more…"
Su Yang looked toward Marshal Xu, and as he spoke, his words trailed off.
He studied Marshal Xu again in surprise, and finally confirmed: "Marshal Xu, you've broken through?"
"Thanks to General Xia's good fortune, I broke through yesterday!"
"Xia Na?"
Marshal Xu nodded. "That's right!"
Su Yang asked, somewhat uncertain: "Was it because of luck?"
"Luck probably had something to do with it. The whole lot of us had a run of good fortune yesterday!" Marshal Xu rubbed his nose. "Maybe my luck was the best of all!"
Su Yang and Liu Mengyun suddenly understood.
They finally knew why the high-ranking officials of the Huaxia Federation had all come running over.
Most of these Federation officials were King-rank Beast Tamers, no longer young, stuck at their bottlenecks for years, dreaming of breaking through!
"This should be Marshal Xu's breakthrough from long accumulation!" Su Yang figured that Marshal Xu's breakthrough was, to a greater extent, the result of his usual accumulation, with luck making up only a tiny fraction. He looked at the assembly of high-ranking officials and smiled. "Could it be that you all believe in luck too?"
However, the answer from this group of high-ranking officials left Su Yang utterly dumbfounded.
"I believe in luck."
"I just believe in luck!"
"Right, we all believe in luck!"
"If it weren't for luck, how could I possibly have survived until now?"
"Many Beast Tamers far more talented than me have died in the past, yet I've lived until now — that must have something to do with luck…"
"Over a decade ago, I nearly got killed by an Emperor-rank Beast Tamer — just ten centimeters short, and I would have died…"
"…"
Their answers were entirely beyond what Su Yang had expected.
The vast majority of the Federation's high-ranking officials had served on the battlefield, had struggled time and again at the edge of life and death, and most of them believed in luck!
They had seen far too many genius Beast Tamers die pointlessly on the battlefield.
They knew that among peers far more outstanding than themselves, in the end only they had made it this far…
If it weren't for luck, none of it could be explained.
Su Yang turned around and saw Sovereign Jiazi and Xia Na walking out.
"Fine!" Su Yang nodded. "I can have Xia Na try once more for you, but be mentally prepared — this thing's effects are far too random…"
"We understand!"
"Right, we understand!"
"…"
Su Yang added: "Also, giving all of you luck at once would drain Xia Na too much. Split into three groups — we'll be staying in Shengjing for a while anyway!"
Su Yang could only say that if Xia Na really could produce another Emperor-rank Beast Tamer, that would be incredible!
Every additional Emperor-rank Beast Tamer for the Huaxia Federation was a good thing.
"Thank you, General Su!"
