Chapter 162

Su Yang smiled and asked, "You don't think your brother got eliminated, do you?"

Su Xiaoxiao looked at her brother skeptically: "But I didn't see you…"

Su Yang smiled and patted Su Xiaoxiao's hair. "When have I ever lied to you?"

"Maybe I just didn't notice!" Su Xiaoxiao continued. "You're so strong, you must've gotten second place and will represent Starfall City!"

"Why am I second? Do you think I don't have the strength to take first?"

"Isn't it said this year's selection has corruption? Has first place already been decided?"

"Uh… who's got that kind of power?"

Pre-determined first place?

Even Huo Kun couldn't pull that off!

Su Yang was puzzled!

Huo Kun hadn't told Su Yang about this at all.

First place in the selection was definitely his, Su Yang's!

Even if they were going to rig it, couldn't they just hand first place to Su Yang? Why rig second or third?

Su Xiaoxiao answered, "I heard someone said someone's going to directly drop into the semifinals?"

Su Yang felt embarrassed!

The one dropping directly into the semifinals… was himself!

Su Xiaoxiao added softly, "Everyone says it's corruption—that the final first place will definitely go to that last-minute entrant!"

Seeing Su Yang's complicated expression, Su Xiaoxiao thought her brother was heartbroken, so she soothed him gently: "Brother, don't be sad. You're so strong—even if you don't get first, second place is still great! When the Southwest Youth Competition comes, that pre-determined guy will show his true colors, and you'll still prove your strength!"

"That corrupt bastard is doomed to fail!"

"You're always the best, Brother. I believe in you—keep going!"

Soothed and encouraged by his sister, Su Yang felt touched yet helpless.

He hugged his sister and whispered in her ear: "Xiaoxiao, do you know who that corrupt guy is—the one getting pre-determined first place and dropping straight into the semifinals…?"

"Ah~"

Seeing Su Xiaoxiao's stunned expression.

Su Yang couldn't help smiling.

"Really, Brother?"

"Why would I lie to you?"

"Brother, you're so amazing!"

Su Yang teased: "Aren't you the one who called the corrupt guy a big jerk?"

Su Xiaoxiao shook her head: "It's different—Brother, you got dropped straight into the semifinals because you're too strong, right?"
