Chapter 170

"Su Yang only revealed one beast, and he has a beast with extremely powerful defense on him. I wonder what his third beast is!"

"..."

Ge Le'an recalled his beast and thanked him, saying: "Thank you for showing mercy."

"No problem, we might have to fight together in the future!"

"Mm!"

After Ge Le'an stepped down from the stage, the referee found Su Yang.

"Can you still continue fighting? Do you want to rest for a while?"

"No need to rest, let's continue!"

"Alright!"

After consulting Su Yang's opinion, the referee directly announced the start of the second match.

"Second match, Su Yang versus Feng Guangyao. Feng Guangyao, take the stage!"

At this point, no one questioned Su Yang's strength anymore.

Ge Le'an fought his way into the top three, his strength was plain for all to see!

Yet facing Su Yang, he didn't have even a shred of resistance.

This was enough to prove Su Yang's terrifying strength!

"Who do you think will win?"

"I would've definitely sided with Feng Guangyao before, but now I'm having doubts. I don't know if Feng Guangyao's beasts can break through Su Yang's defense... that defense is too heaven-defying, isn't it?"

"Su Yang's eagle beast is also very strong, my eyes couldn't even keep up with its speed!"

"..."

Feng Guangyao stood on the stage, his face solemn as well.

He had now put away his contempt toward Su Yang.

Because the strength Su Yang displayed was too terrifying!

But no matter how strong the opponent, he still had to face them.

"Both sides, summon your beasts!"

"Gold-Cutting Mantis, Blue Cloud Giant Eagle, come out!"

Beast tamers who could make it this far couldn't possibly have obvious shortcomings.

Almost all of them possessed a flying-type beast.

Beast tamers without flying-type beasts faced a huge disadvantage against flying-type beasts!

The referee looked at Su Yang: "Su Yang, are you ready?"

"Ready!"

The surrounding audience also began discussing animatedly.

It was already the finals for the championship, yet Su Yang still hadn't brought out his third beast.

Was it that he hadn't contracted a third beast?

The slightly more capable beast tamers present didn't think so.

Because they clearly noticed that Su Yang's eagle beast soaring in the sky wasn't Silver High-Grade in strength, but more like Silver High-Grade or Silver Top-Grade!

With beasts cultivated to such a level, how could he not have contracted a third beast?

"Then I announce, the match begins!"

The moment the referee finished speaking, all the audience looked toward the sky.

But just as they looked toward the sky, Feng Guangyao's Blue Cloud Giant Eagle spun down from the high altitude like a crashing plane.

Defeated!

"I knew it!"

"I didn't even see clearly how he lost!"

"What kind of speed is that, my eyes are blurring!"

"It's all afterimages!"

"I feel like Su Yang's black eagle is even more outrageous than his defensive beast!"

"Indeed excessive!"

"..."

Feng Guangyao's face darkened; he had never dreamed of it.

The Blue Cloud Giant Eagle would lose this quickly!

He had thought the Blue Cloud Giant Eagle could hold on for a while.

"Gold-Cutting Mantis, go!"

The Gold-Cutting Mantis leaped and charged straight at Su Yang.

"The Gold-Cutting Mantis's scythes are extremely powerful, I wonder if they can cut through Su Yang's defense!"

"Don't know!"

"..."

In the blink of an eye, the Gold-Cutting Mantis had already charged in front of Su Yang.

"Gold-Cutting Mantis, Reverse Cross Slash!"

A flash of inverted cross-shaped light swept past, and everyone present was utterly shocked on the spot!

Su Yang had merely used his bare hands to firmly grip the Gold-Cutting Mantis's scythes that could cut through gold and jade!

Damn!

Bare hands catch the blade!

The Jiejin Mantis tried to retract its twin scythes, but found them firmly gripped by Su Yang—it couldn't pull them back!

For the first time since its birth, the Jiejin Mantis doubted its own twin scythes…

It suspected its once-invincible scythes had been swapped out!

"Lift!"

Su Yang exerted force and lifted the Jiejin Mantis's upper body off the ground.

Then, something astonishing happened again!

With sheer arm strength, Su Yang swung the two-meter-long Jiejin Mantis into the air.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Su Yang slammed the Jiejin Mantis against the ground again and again!

No one had expected that the seemingly frail Su Yang possessed such immense strength!

Only then did Feng Guangyao snap out of his shock and shout loudly: "I surrender!"

After uttering the words "I surrender," it felt as if all his bones had been pulled out.

Su Yang finally set down the Jiejin Mantis.

The referee took a deep breath, glanced at Su Yang, and declared: "I announce that Su Yang defeats Feng Guangyao!"

"My brother is incredibly strong!"

In the back row of the VIP seats, Su Xiaoxiao stood up and shouted loudly.

Many of Star City's high-ranking officials seated in the VIP seats looked at Su Xiaoxiao with kind eyes.

Feng Guangyao's and Ge Le'an's families glanced at Su Xiaoxiao but dared not say a word.

Su Yang's victory was truly unquestionable!

The surrounding spectators erupted in excitement!

They never imagined the match would end so quickly!

That Su Yang, who had barely made it to the semifinals, had so easily defeated the favorite, Feng Guangyao!

They had expected a fierce, earth-shattering battle between evenly matched opponents!

An elderly beast-tamer watching nearby sighed softly: "There's nothing to be done—the gap is too great. This Su Yang is too strong!"

Even civilians with little understanding of beast-tamers could see the enormous gap between the other competitors and Su Yang!

Su Yang's third-year classmates stared at Su Yang in the arena.

Their eyes filled with envy, admiration, and a touch of jealousy.

But that sliver of jealousy vanished quickly!

Because the gap between them was simply too vast.

When the gap grows large enough, they no longer compare themselves to Su Yang…
