Chapter 174: Storm Eagle! Potential Upgraded! Divine-Class Low-Grade!

Just as Su Yang fell into thought, he suddenly heard a rumbling sound.

He looked down and saw dust rising below.

Huge trees toppled one after another as three armored beastmasters fled for their lives ahead.

Su Yang peered closely and saw the massive, burly silhouette of a ferocious beast within the dust.

Earthquake Bear!

An adult Earthquake Bear, possessing Gold Mid-Grade strength.

Su Yang instantly understood—it was likely these three beastmasters had accidentally stepped into the Gold Bear's territory.

Of course, they might also have simply been unlucky, stumbling upon the Earthquake Bear as it ventured out to hunt.

He gave no further thought, turning Storm Eagle around to fly toward the three Silver Beastmasters desperately fleeing.

As fellow members of Qixing City's military, Su Yang could not stand by and let them die.

Qixing City's military had explicit orders: if encountering danger in the wild, those capable were required to lend aid.

Moreover, Su Yang wanted to hunt the Earthquake Bear.

Gold-tier ferocious beasts within Mount Qixing were rare now.

Turning in one Gold-tier core equaled over ten days' worth of mission quotas.

As Su Yang drew near, the three Silver Beastmasters looked as if they'd found salvation, frantically waving at him.

"Don't resist—I'm here to save you!"

Storm Eagle dove like lightning, spreading its massive talons and snatching up all three beastmasters.

Once gripped by Storm Eagle, the three beastmasters looked down at the Earthquake Bear and collectively exhaled in relief.

Finally saved!

After flying a distance, Su Yang ordered Storm Eagle to set them down.

"Oh, it's Su Yang!"

"Su Yang, we owe you our lives today!"

"If not for you, we'd be dead!"

Su Yang waved his hand. "It's nothing—go ahead and leave!"

"Aren't you leaving?"

Su Yang gazed toward the Earthquake Bear. "I want to test that Earthquake Bear!"

"That's a Gold-tier beast!"

"Don't worry—even if I can't win, I can escape!"

"That's true—be careful!"

"Got it!"

Storm Eagle carried Su Yang back to the Earthquake Bear's location.

Tracking the Earthquake Bear's trail, Su Yang quickly found it!

"Ding~ Mission released: Kill the Earthquake Bear!"

"Mission successful: Randomly upgrade one pet's talent ability by one level."

The system mission was released again.

During the last Qixing City Youth Genius Beastmaster Selection, the system hadn't released a single mission!

"Storm Eagle, kill it!"

Storm Eagle flapped its wings, unleashing a barrage of massive cyan wind blades toward the Earthquake Bear!

Just as the wind blades neared the Earthquake Bear, a wall of earth suddenly rose from its body.

Of course, Storm Eagle's wind techniques were not easily blocked.

Not even by a Gold-tier ferocious beast!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The wind blades shattered the earth wall and continued their assault on the Earthquake Bear.

The Earthquake Bear's body then manifested another layer of earth-yellow armor, once again blocking the wind blades.

Soon, the earth-yellow armor cracked and collapsed, leaving deep gashes across its body.

Having used two skills to defend, the wind blades' damage had already dropped significantly.

Combined with the Earthquake Bear's naturally high defense, its wounds looked terrible but were not truly severe.

Yet Storm Eagle's attacks had enraged the Earthquake Bear!

Its eyes turned blood-red with fury as it glared at Storm Eagle in midair, ripped up a towering tree, and charged toward it.

Storm Eagle was already accustomed to such scenes.

It flapped its wings gently and rose into the sky.

Seeing this, the Earthquake Bear hurled the tree it held straight at Storm Eagle.

But such attacks were far too weak.

Storm Eagle sidestepped effortlessly.

"Keep going!"

"Ding~ Your pet Storm Eagle has slain the Gold Mid-Grade Earthquake Bear. Experience +**!"
