Chapter 205

But he successfully triggered the system quest!

When he punched a four-meter-tall Gold-rank demonic rock and sent it flying, all spectators were stunned!

They had no idea where Su Yang's limits lay!

Even Ma Hun, watching from the side with bandages wrapped around his face, whispered: "Looks like he held back when he hit me!"

This time, Su Yang reserved his enhanced talent skill for Storm Eagle.

"Ding~ Your Storm Eagle's Legendary talent Blade Feather Sword Wings has been upgraded to Mythic-level talent!"

Another Mythic-level talent—Storm Eagle now possesses three Mythic-level talents!

The Mythic-level Blade Feather Sword Wings will undoubtedly make Storm Eagle's aerial combat power explode!

Su Yang suddenly realized that participating in the competition wasn't without benefits.

After four intense matches, night had fallen.

Changdu City announced the day's matches were over; the remaining matches would be scheduled for tomorrow.

Su Yang stepped down from the stage, and Huo Kun gave him a bear hug: "Good kid, you did incredibly, incredibly well—completely beyond my expectations!"

Ge Le'an gave Su Yang a thumbs-up.

"Su Yang, you're amazing!" Qian Ran ran over, waving his tiny fist. "Especially that punch—it felt like one punch, one kid!"

Qian Ran and his group had already been eliminated, but they hadn't left—they wanted to keep watching the matches.

This was a rare chance to broaden their horizons.

"Not bad, just my strength is a bit too big!"

Qian Ran asked quietly: "Can you tell me what your pet beast with insane defense is? When I reach Gold-rank, I'm getting one!"

"Earth Rampager Bear!"

"Is the Earth Rampager Bear that strong?"

"Mine's a bit special—everyone else knows that!"

Su Yang smiled and followed the crowd back to the guesthouse.

Not long after Su Yang left, Xu Wenmao found Ma Hun.

"Ma Hun, tomorrow I'm fighting Su Yang!" Xu Wenmao's expression was troubled. "I've realized Su Yang is truly strong—I'm not sure I can beat him!"

"He really is strong!" Ma Hun nodded. "Extremely strong!"

"What troubles me most is Su Yang's flying pet, Storm Eagle—since the matches began, not a single flying pet has lasted a round against that Storm Eagle!" Xu Wenmao said seriously. "You've fought his Storm Eagle—do you have any way to counter it?"

Ma Hun fell silent.

After a long while, he slowly said: "That Storm Eagle must have mutated—it's absurdly fast, skills barely hit it, getting close to it is pure fantasy, yet its attack power is terrifyingly strong… unless you have a flying pet faster than his Storm Eagle!"

"What if you use two flying pets to flank it?"

"So you've been hiding a flying pet!" Ma Hun nodded. "Then there's still a chance to get close!"

After the first four rounds of the finals, Su Yang proved his strength to Wucheng's people.

He won all four matches and rose to become one of the top favorites for the championship.

Everyone knew that Su Yang, as a Gold-rank Beast Master, should still have two more pets!

But he never revealed them.

On match day, the audience packed the area around the arena completely.

Wucheng City even deployed large-screen LCD TVs for live broadcast.

Of course, this broadcast was limited to Wucheng City only.

Outside, demonic beasts roamed freely—no signal towers could be built, and the match footage couldn't be transmitted to other cities.

"Who do you think will win?"

"Of course Xu Wenmao!"

"I want to know what rank of pet Su Yang is hiding!"

"Come to think of it, Xu Wenmao is hiding one too!"

"…"

Su Yang's fifth opponent was the Silver-rank Beast Master Chen Cang, who had previously defeated a Gold-rank Beast Master.

But although Chen Cang could fight above his rank, he was no match for Su Yang's cheating power—he was doomed!

His flying pet was instantly obliterated by Storm Eagle; Chen Cang himself, along with his pet, was blasted flying by Su Yang!

His sixth opponent was a Gold-rank Beast Master, but unfortunately, the opponent was weak and failed to trigger the system quest.

After six matches, Su Yang was six wins out of six; Xu Wenmao was also six wins out of six.

Evening arrived, and the match was postponed to tomorrow.

On the day of the final, the arena was packed with crowds, and cheers for Xu Wenmao echoed everywhere.

Standing on the Biwu Assembly stage, Su Yang felt his ears ringing.

"Ding~ Quest released: Defeat Xu Wenmao and claim the Southwest City Youth Talent Biwu Assembly!"

"Quest reward: One random Mythic-level talent; one specified pet talent upgraded by one level!"

Seeing the quest reward, Su Yang knew he was taking it for sure!

Mythic-level talents—he never had too many!

"Contestants, summon your pets!"

Xu Wenmao waved his hand, and two Gold-rank flying pets—Azure Cloud Eagle and Lei Yunniao—soared into the sky.

"So Xu Wenmao's hidden pet is Lei Yunniao!"

"Lei Yunniao's flight speed is fast—maybe it can catch Su Yang's pet!"

Su Yang roughly guessed the opponent's intent and didn't care—he directly summoned Storm Eagle.

Then he thought for a moment, and a massive blood-red vine plant appeared before everyone.

The mythic-level talent reward—Su Yang was determined to claim it!

As soon as the blood-red vine plant, a ferocious beast, appeared, it instantly captured everyone's gaze.
