Chapter 227: Above Jiacheng! The Hellblood Vine Blossoms Again!

"Su Yang, there's one more thing I must explain to you!"

Su Yang looked at Zhu Zhu Xiaoshuang, only to find her lips unmoving.

Telepathy?

"What is it?"

"I say, you just listen!"

Su Yang nodded.

"According to intelligence, your Hellblood Vine may have Imperial potential, with extremely strong combat talent!"

"Let me tell you, normally, any pet beast with Royal potential and extraordinary talent is arrogant through and through—the greater its growth potential and talent, the more prideful it becomes. You must learn how to deal with them… don't treat them too well, and don't treat them too badly!"

"I know your Hellblood Vine can rapidly boost its strength, but if you want to fully control it, never let its power rise too fast, never let it fall too far behind your other pet beasts, and never appear overly dependent on it!"

"Ten years ago, in the northeast, a seventeen-year-old Platinum-tier prodigy Beast Tamer accidentally obtained a Snowfield Colossus with Imperial growth potential. That Snowfield Colossus eventually defected and killed the prodigy—very likely because it believed its Beast Tamer was unworthy to command it!"

"Remember, according to Federation data, the greater a pet beast's growth potential, the higher its chance of defection!"

"As Beast Tamers, we don't just control our pet beasts' bodies in battle—we must learn to master their hearts!"

Zhu Zhu Xiaoshuang delivered a long lecture, yet her hands never paused.

She continuously commanded her pet beasts to slay flying monsters in the sky.

Su Yang's Stormhawk was also far from idle, frantically harvesting experience.

Su Yang replied: "It's a bit complicated, but I think I get the gist."

"Our Captain Yao says it's the same principle as dating a girlfriend… though I can't agree, you might try drawing an analogy—it could help you understand!"

"I don't have a girlfriend!"

"Then think harder!"

There were countless Platinum-tier flying monsters, but we also had many Gold-tier Beast Tamers.

Many flying monsters were killed; over half avoided Jiacheng entirely, while a few stragglers flew into the city—only to face pursuit from Jiacheng's Platinum-tier Beast Tamers.

Just after repelling the flying monsters, the Beast Tamers on the wall hadn't even breathed out when the Blackgold Armored Spider scaled Jiacheng's wall.

Though Jiacheng's wall was sturdy, built of reinforced concrete, the Blackgold Armored Spider's eight sharp chelicerae pierced its water-solidified structure as easily as paper!

In just a few leaps, they appeared atop the hundred-meter-high wall.

The Beast Tamers summoned ground-based pet beasts to resist the Blackgold Armored Spiders' assault!

Su Yang summoned the Seven-Colored Illusionary Butterfly to harvest a bit of experience.

Among these Blackgold Armored Spiders, a few were Platinum-tier.

Bronze-tier ones were virtually nonexistent—during escape, Bronze-tier Blackgold Armored Spiders always lagged behind.

One punch shattered a Blackgold Armored Spider; its hard Blackgold carapace was as flimsy as paper to Su Yang.

Su Yang left Zhu Zhu Xiaoshuang; she watched him tear off the most lethal chelicerae with his bare hands and finally relaxed.
