Chapter 231: Blood Sea Drifting with Fragrance! One Pet Beast, One Army!

The beast uprising on Jin Ya Mountain originated from within.

The beasts residing inside Jin Ya Mountain were first attacked by the purple-crystal rhinos, the strongest among them, and fled the fastest.

Thus, they were the first to escape Jin Ya Mountain—such as those few Cloud苍 Eagles.

The lowest-tier beasts at the periphery of Jin Ya Mountain were the last to be affected by fear and began fleeing.

They certainly couldn't run as fast as the platinum- or gold-grade beasts, so they lagged behind, and their numbers were the greatest.

The five platinum-grade beastmasters, after prolonged battles, had either lost their beasts, injured them, or exhausted them greatly—they could not possibly hold back all the numerous low-tier beasts behind them.

Once the Jiacheng city wall collapsed, the low-tier beasts behind would likely surge into the city in a flood.

Yet Jiacheng and the two emergency squads were relieved that no king-grade beasts had appeared.

King-grade beasts were exceedingly rare; Jin Ya Mountain was vast, with countless directions to choose from, and Jiacheng was insignificant—the chance of a king-grade beast passing through Jiacheng was about the same as winning the lottery…

If they encountered a star-radiant beast, platinum-grade beastmasters still had a fighting chance!

Of course, not encountering one was best of all.

Mu Yuankai's platinum-grade Stone Golem held the front line, while his other beasts launched furious attacks on the Rock-Armored Rhinos.

The attacked Rock-Armored Rhinos grew even more enraged, accelerating their charge, one after another, rushing wildly toward the platinum-grade beasts.

"Earth Crack!"

Beside Zhu Xiaoshuang, her three-meter-tall Mud Golem placed both hands on the ground.

With a powerful energy surge, the earth split open.

A crack over ten meters wide formed across the ground!

Don't be fooled by the Rock-Armored Rhinos' bulky frames—seeing this crack, they used their momentum to leap straight over it, easily clearing the chasm!

But just as they leapt, all flying-type beasts unleashed ranged attacks.

Their platinum-grade beasts had fought long and were heavily drained, yet they still managed to send many Rock-Armored Rhinos tumbling into the fissure.

As the leaping Rock-Armored Rhinos were about to land, Zhu Xiaoshuang commanded again:

"Great Swamp!"

The Mud Golem let out a roar.

On the southern side of the fissure, a four-hundred-square-meter area instantly turned into soft, muddy swamp.

More than twenty Rock-Armored Rhinos about to land plunged straight into the swamp, splashing mud everywhere, immobilized.

Just as everyone thought the battle might end, other Rock-Armored Rhinos landed—the ground beneath their feet hardened into rock, allowing them to keep running across the swamp, though their speed clearly slowed.

"The rhinos of Jin Ya Mountain live up to their reputation!" Zhu Xiaoshuang shouted. "Shi You, Freeze!"

A white light flashed on Shi You's Ice Moon Sprite, instantly freezing the entire muddy swamp into ice.

The Rock-Armored Rhinos running on the rock patches were not spared—the frost spread over the rocks beneath their feet, causing nearly all of them to slip and fall.

The other platinum-grade beasts seized the opportunity to attack.

Yet using such wide-area skills still drained the platinum-grade beasts greatly.

Moreover, the Rock-Armored Rhinos were still too numerous, too heavily armored, and stubbornly charged forward without regard for their lives.

Though they lost two or three hundred under the platinum-grade beasts' assault, they broke through the ice-swamp!

One Rock-Armored Rhino slammed into the Stone Golem, sending it reeling backward—but then a swarm of Rock-Armored Rhinos charged together into the Golem, smashing it to the ground.

Yet the Stone Golem suffered no serious injury; it lay on the ground, wildly pounding the Rock-Armored Rhinos with its stone fists.

One punch shattered the rock armor; two punches could severely wound one!

From the ground, countless sharp rock spikes erupted, wildly attacking Zhu Xiaoshuang's platinum-grade beasts.

One Rock-Armored Rhino, its blood-red eyes fixed on the flying platinum-grade beasts above, opened its mouth and shot sharp rock spikes skyward—other Rock-Armored Rhinos followed suit, launching rock spikes at the airborne beasts.

Rock spikes, when launched en masse, became like dense arrows.

Yet Mu Yuankai's group had succeeded in their intent.

The Rock-Armored Rhinos' charging speed had dropped drastically.

More than ten Rock-Armored Rhinos had leapt over the fissure, broken through the ice-swamp, and pierced through the flame-wind blades, overcoming all obstacles to reach a patch of blood-red earth.

Many of their rock armors were gone, some shattered, their bodies still smoldering with blood.

The earth, of course, was not actually blood-red.

It was covered densely with countless blood-red vines.

The Rock-Armored Rhinos' eyes burned crimson; they charged straight into the blood-red vines without hesitation.

The blood-red vines instantly lashed out, wrapping around their legs, their bodies.

One Rock-Armored Rhino, encountering resistance, pushed forward with all its might!
