Chapter 249: Only Pick the Big Ones! Big Is Beautiful! Big Is Good!

Seeing the beast tamer ride a Gold Mid-Grade Blackfeather Wind Eagle charging at the Mighty Python, Su Yang felt less concerned.

Flying-type beast companions really have an advantage!

"You nine, keep watch—I'll go find more Gold-grade Fierce Beasts for you!"

"Yes, Captain!"

Watching Su Yang leave, the nine Emergency Team members whispered to each other as they observed their comrade fighting the Mighty Python: "Chen Ke is lucky—this Mighty Python is definitely stronger than an ordinary Gold Mid-Grade one!"

"I was too slow just now; otherwise, I wouldn't have let Chen Ke get it!"

"I hope the Captain finds a few more like this!"

"Impossible—such outstanding Fierce Beasts are extremely rare!"

"…"

More than an hour later, Su Yang returned again.

His military uniform was stained red!

When he returned, Chen Ke's battle with the Mighty Python had already ended.

With his two Gold Mid-Grade beast companions, he successfully defeated the Mighty Python and forged a contract with it.

"Captain, any discoveries?"

Su Yang smiled: "I ran into a big one I really liked—Gold High-Grade. I think you'll all love it!"

"Let's go!"

It was a Black Forest Python, its entire body covered in black scales.

What caught attention was its massive size—it was one-third thicker than an ordinary Gold High-Grade Black Forest Python!

There were many python-type Fierce Beasts in the canyon; Su Yang had killed over a dozen Gold-grade pythons before encountering this Black Forest Python with its rare giant-size talent.

Great size often means great strength and defense.

The remaining nine team members all felt their hearts race!

"This Black Forest Python—who wants it?"

"Me!"

"I want it!"

"…"

Two members eligible to contract a Gold High-Grade Fierce Beast stepped forward.

One of them was Xu Jiutian.

The other man looked at Xu Jiutian, then said: "Forget it—I'll let Old Xu have it."

Xu Jiutian laughed heartily: "Thanks, Old Liu—I'll buy you drinks in Huicheng!"

"Then it's Xu Jiutian's!" Su Yang said. "I'll go find more for you!"

"Thank you, Captain!"

The nine Emergency Team members began to guard around Xu Jiutian.

As they kept watch, they whispered: "Do you think our Captain can find a few more Fierce Beasts with great talents?"

"Impossible—the Captain isn't a god!"

Two more hours passed, and Su Yang appeared again, his sleeves stained red.

He smiled at the ten team members: "New find—I came across a Rock-patterned Python, Gold Mid-Grade. I think its defense is solid!"

Su Yang led the team to hover above the Rock-patterned Python and carefully evaluated: "Look at the fine rock-like scales on its body—they're still gleaming in the sun. It's slightly larger than its kind. Listen to the sound of its body striking rocks as it moves—its rock scales must be extremely thick."

The ten team members followed Su Yang's reasoning, observed the Rock-patterned Python, and nodded slowly, half-understanding.

"I think it's good—its defense should be strong. Who wants it?"

"I'll take it!"

"I'll keep searching—everyone else, keep watch!"

After Su Yang left, those on guard glanced at the battle.

Then they realized—the Rock-patterned Python's defense truly was strong; even two or three wind blades couldn't pierce its outer armor!

Everyone looked at each other, and in their hearts, there was only one thought!

"Captain Su's eyesight is incredible!"

"Maybe he has the Appraiser talent!"

"…"

"Ding~ Host successfully helped ten Emergency Team members capture ten Gold-grade Fierce Beasts!"

"Task completed. Host gains one Talent Point—can upgrade any beast's designated talent by one level."

After five days of dragging it out, all ten team members received new Gold-grade beast companions.

All ten team members were extremely satisfied.

During this process, Su Yang also helped them find other types of Gold-grade beast companions!

Of course, when selecting python-type Fierce Beasts, Su Yang dared not be too obvious.

He mostly just picked the ones with large bodies—ones that clearly stood out.

In the World of Fierce Beasts, large size is an advantage!

The Storm Eagle's observation was too strong—it could fly up into the cloud layer, and hundreds of kilometers around lay within its eyes, offering him a vast selection of python-type Fierce Beasts to choose from.

"Captain, thank you so much!"

"Yes, I'm very happy with that Mighty Python!"

"My Black Forest Python is also excellent!"

"Captain, your eyesight is amazing—you should be an Appraiser!"

"…"

It wasn't that this group of emergency squad Gold-rank Beast Tamers had never seen the world or encountered outstanding Gold-rank beast companions.

It was just that they often engaged in high-intensity combat and suffered heavy losses of their beast companions.

Even beast companions with talent could die at any moment in their hands.

They usually possessed only one or two outstanding beast companions, and their other beasts were frequently replaced!

Su Yang helping them find some beast companions with decent talent was truly important.

At critical moments, one more outstanding beast companion meant one more chance at survival.

"I certainly don't qualify as an appraiser—you're just lucky, since there are Gold-rank Giant Python Snakes everywhere nearby!" Su Yang laughed. "I just told Storm Eagle to pick you a big-headed one—the bigger, the better… Big is beautiful, big is good!"

Xu Jiutian laughed heartily: "Right, Captain's right—big is beautiful, big is good!"

"We love big ones!"

"The Captain's bird is huge!"

"…"

Su Yang revealed his secret for selecting ferocious beasts.

His squad members all admitted that Su Yang had strong observational skills, but not to an absurd degree.

After all, they also understood the principle that larger size often meant greater combat power!

They simply didn't have a beast companion as keen-eyed as Storm Eagle, making it hard to find those even larger beasts.

But they had noticed that Su Yang was seriously, even somewhat harshly, selecting beast companions for them—only picking the big ones!

The ten Gold-rank Beast Tamers deeply appreciated him in their hearts!

As Su Yang led his squad out of Mount Yandang, a Silver-rank Iron-beaked Crane flew toward them.

Su Yang pulled a Silver-rank core from his spatial pouch and hurled it hard at the Iron-beaked Crane!

The core Su Yang threw shot toward the Iron-beaked Crane like a cannonball.
