Chapter 259

Su Yang remembered that Adjutant Jiang Long had mentioned that there were men among the Shoushen Sect Sect followers.

Cultists can be roughly divided into two types:

One type are genuine madmen who believe the god truly exists and, for their faith, will do many insane things!

The other type are fully aware that the so-called god does not exist—they merely use the name of "god" to satisfy their own desires.

All human desires boil down to just a few.

Power, money, reputation, beauty!

Adjutant Jiang Long whispered, "There are indeed some, but those believers think they are serving the Beast God!"

Su Yang raised an eyebrow and asked, "Are there many?"

"Quite a few!"

Su Yang murmured, "Once we catch them, I'll crush their skulls."

Adjutant Jiang Long could feel the terrifying killing intent emanating from Su Yang.

"Adjutant Jiang, get me all the missing persons cases from Nanyucheng over the past month—only women."

Adjutant Jiang was startled—he wasn't stupid; after Su Yang's hint, he realized Su Yang had found a breakthrough!

"Does Senior Lieutenant Su believe the Shoushen Sect Sect followers are very likely to..."

"Why not?" Su Yang smiled. "Clearly, the culprit is a lecher. He possesses a spirit-type pet beast—committing such acts is effortless. Even if he hasn't abducted any women, we're idle anyway. You've been feeding and housing us well; we can't do big things, but small ones are still doable!"

"Senior Lieutenant Su, may I report this to the Deputy Mayor? I think you're right!"

"Fine."

This required cooperation from Nanyucheng—Su Yang's mission here was exactly this.

He didn't care whether he got the primary credit.

He needed only to complete the mission: eliminate the Shoushen Sect Sect cultists hiding in Nanyucheng!

Back at the military headquarters, Jiang Long told Zhong Ruili Su Yang's theory.

Zhong Ruili sighed and said, "Senior Lieutenant Su, we thought of this a few days ago too, but at the time, we had sent Adjutant Jiang out to supervise the search progress—he wasn't informed."

Su Yang asked, "What were the results?"

After a month of searching, Nanyucheng certainly would have explored other angles.

It wasn't surprising that someone in Nanyucheng's military noticed female followers being violated, suspected the Shoushen Sect Sect followers were lecherous, and decided to investigate missing girls.

Zhong Ruili handed Su Yang a photograph.

The photo showed an extremely beautiful girl with long hair and a warm smile on her lips.

"Yu Xiuhui. She disappeared seventeen days ago. By the time we noticed this possibility, she'd already been missing for ten days. We deployed Nanyucheng's best Golden Hounds—found no trace!" Zhong Ruili said. "Perhaps our tight search has frightened them—no other girls have gone missing since."

"Can you take us to see the place?"
