Chapter 9

"Wind Blade!"

The Storm Eagle dove down, and a wind blade severed the already injured wing of the mutated sparrow!

The wingless mutated sparrow drifted downward.

"Storm Eagle, save that child!"

The Storm Eagle dove down, seized the child's shoulder midair, and flapped its wings—countless green blades of wind enveloped it!

The child's descent slowed, then landed safely on the ground.

Su Yang ran over; the child had already fainted, breathing normally, but his shoulder was wounded—from scratches inflicted by both the mutated sparrow and the Storm Eagle.

Still, surviving at all is already a miracle!

At this moment, the sturdy woman had already run over.

"What happened to my son?"

"He's fine, just a shoulder wound—he fainted!"

The sturdy woman briefly checked him, sighed in relief, and knelt before Su Yang, bowing her head to the ground:

"Thank you, thank you, Master Beast Tamer! If not for you, my son would be dead!"

Su Yang quickly helped her up: "Aunt Liu, don't kneel to me—if Mom found out, she'd kill me!"

Aunt Liu?

Liu Minglian looked up and saw Su Yang's handsome, refined face, and the beast perched on his shoulder.

The beast's gaze was utterly cruel and terrifying—looking at anyone as if they were prey!

"Su Yang?!!!"

"It's me, Aunt Liu!"

"You've become a Beast Tamer?"

"Yes!"

"Wonderful! Your mother will be so happy!"

"..."

At this moment, other villagers from Baiyi Town who had been working nearby also arrived.

They had all witnessed Su Yang's beast kill the mutated sparrow and rescue Liu Minglian's son, and they lavished praise upon Su Yang!

"I knew Su Yang had potential!"

"Su Yang is perfect for my daughter!"

"No! Su Yang is perfect for my granddaughter!"

"..."

Su Yang, surrounded by them, felt helpless.

"Screech!"

At that moment, the Storm Eagle let out a shrill cry, filled with threat and ferocity!

It swept its cold, vicious gaze over every human present—as if all humans were prey!

The enthusiastic villagers fell silent at once, terrified.

Every single one of them thought only one thing: What a terrifying beast!
