Chapter 1865: Chu An Manual

~7 min read 1,355 words

If that's really the case, then the reason Lin Dui wants a massive purge can be explained!

We can't wait, and we can't leave any other forces! Otherwise a few more things secretly controlling Earth might pop up.

If they later go to war with these civilizations, it'll be no different than seeking suicide! Just like the traitors inside Long An, they'll doom everyone!

However, however.

Looking at Gao Tian's misunderstanding, or rather, his understanding of power above Fifth Stage is still zero.

Lin An shook his head and spoke softly:

"Andre isn't important, and the civilization behind him doesn't need our attention."

"What I want to tell you is: don't think we still have much time, don't limit your vision to Earth. Having come this far, you are no longer individuals of Long An, nor can you think like ordinary people and weigh your hearts."

The conversation shifted, and Lin An suddenly smiled:

"Gao Tian, just now in the meeting, weren't you saying that in Andre's global conference, those Fourth Stage from all sides who were killed were a pity, all geniuses?"

"I don't want to kill either; I'm actually troubled, wondering how to make them understand one thing..."

His gaze deep and distant, without waiting for Gao Tian to lose his words, Lin An's eyes seemed to pierce underground, looking far away, toward the whole world.

"Geniuses? Seeds? Do you know how many people I've killed on missions?"

A slight pause.

Lin An shook his head, gave a light chuckle, and spoke casually.

"On the stellar battlefield, I killed two thousand Fourth Stage Peak, over a thousand Fifth Stage."

"Including ten Star Destroyers."

"That is."

"Fifth Stage Intermediate."

He turned his gaze, meeting the eyes of Wen Ya and the other two, whose pupils suddenly contracted, shock in their eyes; Lin An wiped the smile from his face and spoke seriously:

"In my eyes, no one is a genius, and no one is unkillable."

"Tai Er thinks the Soviets shouldn't die, his compatriots are important. You think those Fourth Stage are elites, killing them is a pity. Wen Ya thinks I'll become a global public enemy, wanting to take it slow."

"All of that is correct."

"But I'm saying this today just to give you a mental preparation. In these two days, I'll try to find ways to kill as few as possible."

"If I can't find a way..."

Lin An didn't say anything more, nor need to. This meeting, he only wanted to reshape the team members' cognition, then tell them some facts.

Of course, he also wanted to find a suitable method.

He walked out of the meeting room.

The three stood dazed, stiff in place; only now did they fully realize that the problems Lin An was considering were already on a completely different level from theirs.

"Over a thousand Fifth Stage!? Over a thousand Fifth Stage!"

Looking at Lin An's back, Gao Tian's mind went blank, he could barely stand.

Although they had imagined how strong Lin An was, surely he had endured hardships on missions, perhaps survived a Fifth Stage pursuit, perhaps narrowly killed the mission target.

But no one expected that Lin Dui had slaughtered so many Fifth Stage during missions!

So...!?

"Lin Dui!? Are you trying to gather faith, you don't care about those Fourth Stage but care about masses of ordinary people!?"

Chasing after Lin An, Gao Tian suddenly realized something and hurriedly followed behind.

If Lin An doesn't need to worry about those human elites, then for Lin Dui, the only thing troubling him is exactly what Wen Ya said.

Even these team members need Lin An to tell them the truth, to understand him.

With excessive slaughter, survivors find it harder to understand.

"Yes."

Before the elevator, Lin An glanced in surprise at Gao Tian rushing up and directly responded.

He hesitated until now, not because he cared about what Zhang Yong and others said—ethnic conflicts, cultural clashes, or nobody wanting to relinquish power—these were trivial in his eyes.

Faced with civilization's survival, human internal contradictions seem laughable.

But Lin An knows these are irrelevant issues; humans don't know, not even the people closest to him "know".

He can't tell people what they'll soon face; the level is too high, most survivors at this stage simply can't comprehend anything above Fifth Stage.

He didn't unify the globe for himself; he originally wanted Gao Tian and the others to devise a suitable plan together, but after the whole meeting, Lin An suddenly realized Gao Tian et al. couldn't break free from their existing cognition.

That's why he ended the meeting with that final revelation of truth.

(No wonder Gao Tian and the others, even I couldn't think of a suitable method, like the first fish crawling ashore—how would it tell its companions that this world still has land?)

"Lin Dui, sorry! We shouldn't have said those things! Wen Ya doesn't think it's too cruel; she just mistakenly thought we still had time!"

Face flushed red, he apologized hastily.

Gao Tian felt somewhat guilty, not knowing what to say; after the whole meeting, they seemed to have contributed nothing, only adding trouble for Lin Dui.

"It's not your fault; the problems you raised are indeed hard to solve. You... are my partners."

Seeing Gao Tian rather self-blaming, Lin An chuckled and shook his head.

Lin An doesn't need to explain so much to Tai Er and the others, but for the team members, he still hopes they can understand him, grasp that he has to do certain things.

"Lin Dui! I think the key issue is that people still don't grasp how strong you are, so they dare to jump out!"

"They don't know what you've done for them! Compared to those so-called gods, what price have you paid!"

"They can't understand your suffering, can't understand why you'd start a war!"

"I think... I think we can stage a play! We'll reveal the truth, expose the ugliness of those so-called gods, tell all humanity that you've saved everyone more than once!"

Quite emotionally charged.

As Gao Tian spoke, ideas kept popping up in his mind one after another.

Escapees can summon sea beasts and act as saviors. So why can't they!?

Although many will die, even saying it's a pointless sacrifice of many innocent survivors, but nothing can reshape one's image faster than this method!

However, Gao Tian had just wanted to add his idea, when excitedly he continued speaking.

In front of the elevator, Lin An silently shook his head:

"Acting is fine, showing strength is fine. But then? In the end I still have to eliminate that batch of Fourth Stage, or eliminate the believers."

"They also have friends and family; if I just kill them, those associated with them will still be hostile toward me."

"Gao Tian, in the face of losing loved ones, do you think anyone could understand me, grasp the greater good?"

"People, are dead by my hand."

If killing, must be done cleanly.

Once his hands are stained with the first drop of blood, it will be rivers of blood.

Lin An lightly patted Gao Tian's shoulder, only planning the cleanup operation two days later. The time left for him is already short; even if the population greatly decreases, the gathered faith is insufficient. Lin An can only grit his teeth and coalesce a prototype of faith.

(It's dangerous; the selected humans will still fear me, and there will inevitably be uncleaned contamination sources left, but... perhaps this is the only way.)

"Ding"

The elevator opened.

Just as Lin An stepped inside, intending to go back and seriously study the faith information left by No. 77.

Stunned in place, in Gao Tian's eyes with his head bowed low, as if something had been touched, his gaze lost focus and widened:

"Wait!"

He suddenly lifted his head.

"Lin Dui! Maybe there's still a way!"

"Chu An! I remember! Chu An once talked to me about the future Long An political system! He told me then something similar to what you said!"

"Manuscript! That manuscript! He left behind a draft!"
