Chapter 210

Birth, aging, sickness, and death.

These are the norms for ordinary living beings.

"Without realizing it, thirty-eight years have already passed..."

Qin Mu sighed softly.

In order to evolve the Blue Star.

He had been utilizing the origin to accelerate the entire universe.

One day in the outside world.

Is equivalent to one year inside.

Calculating the time.

Now, there are only a dozen days left until the Hundred Schools Civilization War.

And Yan...

Has also transformed from an ambitious youth into an old man nearing the twilight of his life.

Regarding this request put forward by Yan.

He pondered for a moment.

Then he left a line of text in the void.

"The speed of light is the ultimate speed in the world; it cannot be measured by conventional logic."

"The best method for measurement should be the gear method."

Subsequently.

Qin Mu explained this method in detail.

This method.

Was actually something conceived by Earth's physicists in the 17th century, before he transmigrated.

And below.

Yan gazed at the handwriting appearing in the void.

His body suddenly began to tremble.

He kept muttering in his mouth: "So that's how it is, so that's how it is..."

After a long while.

He finally calmed down from the shock.

After bidding farewell.

He hurried out of the temple, heading towards the Great Yan Research Institute.

"The speed of light is the ultimate speed in the world; guided by the god, we can use the gear method..."

He informed everyone at the Research Institute about the measurement method of the gear method.

Everyone suddenly realized.

Their expressions became excited all at once.

At this moment.

They finally saw the hope of measuring the speed of light!

The 39th year of the Great Yan Calendar.

After a year of preparation.

Atop the North Tower.

An experiment to measure the speed of light attracted the attention of the entire Great Yan Nation.

The people of the Great Yan Research Institute prepared a lens, and after the sun came out...

They used the lens to focus the light source.

Subsequently.

They placed a gear between the lens and the light source.

On the other side of the lens, at a further distance, they placed another lens and a plane mirror in sequence; the plane mirror was located at the focal point of the second lens.

The light emitted from the light source became parallel light after passing through the gear and the lens, and the parallel light converged at a point on the plane mirror after passing through the second lens.

After reflecting off the plane mirror, it returned along the original path.

Because the gear has gaps and teeth, when light passes through the gap, the observer can see the returning light; when the light happens to hit a tooth, it is blocked.

The time from the start until the light disappears for the first time is the time it takes for the light to make a round trip.

And by using the rotation speed of the gear...

The speed of light can be calculated.

This is a very ingenious measurement method that converts the speed of light into rotation speed.

Soon.

After multiple measurements.

The Great Yan Research Institute obtained the corresponding rotation speed data.

They began the calculations.

And arrived at a shockingly large value.

"Your Majesty, it has been measured; the speed of light is approximately 300,000,000 m/s."

Upon seeing this value, Yan could not help but widen his eyes.

It was not just him.

Everyone in the entire Research Institute...

Was scared silly.

They had imagined that the speed of light was very fast.

But they never thought...

That the speed of light could actually travel nearly 300,000 kilometers in one second!

After a dozen seconds of silence at the scene.

Yan slowly raised his head and looked at the sun in the sky.

He muttered: "The speed of light... is actually this fast?"

At this moment.

He finally understood why the god called light the ultimate speed in the world!

Subsequently.

He took a deep breath and said in a deep voice: "The next issue of 'Great Yan Science' will publish the results of the research on the speed of light!"

"Prepare the carriage; I am going to the temple to report this discovery to the god!"

Not long after.

Yan arrived at the temple and knelt beneath the huge, majestic statue.

He reported the research results regarding the speed of light.

At this point.

The god's three questions had all been resolved.

In the thirty-nine years since he ascended the throne.

He had been conscientious and diligent.

Using the better part of his life, he finally completed the test set by the god.

"You have done very well."

Above the shrine, a line of text formed out of thin air.

Yan stared blankly at this line of text, unable to stop his old tears from flowing.

This was the affirmation from the god.

It affirmed his achievements over these past decades!

And above the statue.

Qin Mu looked at the increasingly aged Yan and sighed softly.

To be honest.

Yan's development over these years had indeed been done very well. ===== CHAPTER 212 =====
