Chapter 353: Dog company, hurry up and explode on the spot

Shen Ci's tone and attitude were not particularly aggressive, but the words carried a strong sense of oppression coming from her mouth.

However, Li Chuang was a "veteran of the battlefield." Having worked at a major internet company for a long time, he had seen basically every type of person. Shen Ci's appearance was young and beautiful, and even with her imposing aura, there was no way to intimidate Li Chuang all at once.

He smiled lazily, taking the opportunity to lock his gaze directly onto Shen Ci: "Beauty, that's a bit of an exaggeration. We will definitely fulfill the terms of the contract, but the company signed too many newcomers after the New Year. We are lagging behind in the progress of assigning teams, and we will assign teams to the streamers as quickly as possible in the order of signing."

"When our company signs streamers, we are definitely acting with an attitude of mutual cooperation and win-win. It's impossible for us to play games with the contract. You all know our company's influence in the self-media industry; we have thousands of streamers under our banner. If the company weren't reliable, wouldn't everyone have caused a scene long ago? What do you think?"

His words had no flaws, and they could indeed play a role in pacifying people to a certain extent.

But for Shen Ci, it was useless.

What Shen Ci wanted was not an explanation, but a result.

"According to what you mean, when Pili's turn comes is still a distant, indefinite prospect?"

Shen Ci leaned back in her chair with a casual posture, and couldn't help but sneer as she spoke: "If you can't fulfill the contract terms on time, then why were you in such a rush to sign the contract in the first place?"

"Pili's streaming revenue last month was very impressive, but now it has to be split in half by your company, which hasn't done a single thing. And this state might continue for the next few months. Isn't your esteemed company just 'opening your mouth to look at the sky and eating meat'?"

"Beauty, you can't put it that way..."

"Then how should I put it? Should I say you 'only talk about treating guests but never serve the dishes'? Or that you 'only talk but never practice, just a fake show'?"

Gu Lianxing, who was on the side, couldn't help but speak up: "Isn't this just pure blood-sucking? You signed her, but you provide zero help to Pili's streaming, and in the end, you still want half the money. Are you treating our Pili as free labor?"

Perhaps because all of them were too beautiful, even though their attitude was aggressive, Li Chuang didn't get angry. He even continued to smile and explain: "Wasn't the rush to sign the contract for the 'Top 100 New Streamers' platform event? We also registered Miss Pili for it; you can't say we haven't done anything, right?"

Mentioning this "Top 100 New Streamers" event made them all furious.

Gu Lianxing first rolled her eyes dramatically, and then spoke in an unfriendly tone: "What kind of rotten event and rules does your platform have? You use the slogan of creating grassroots superstar streamers, but the PK popularity values are all piled up with money. Are the words 'grassroots' and 'money' equivalent? Doesn't the platform feel that the original intention and the rules of this event are self-contradictory?"

Pili had indeed been interested in this new streamer event at the time, and the company had said they would provide traffic support for Pili's streaming during the event. But later, they said the company would only cover 40% of the capital costs generated by the traffic support, and the remaining 60% had to be covered by Pili herself.

This event was fiercely competitive. To enter the top 100, one needed to invest a large amount of capital to operate. Currently, the new streamers who had entered the top 10 had each spent over a "million" level, and the first place had even broken through the "ten million" level.

Is this still creating grassroots superstar streamers? Which grassroots person could have so much money?

Later, Pili realized that the so-called platform event was just a gimmick used by these companies to collect wealth by utilizing the PK attribute of internet streaming.

In the end, the company was the one that benefited, and the company was the one that made a fortune.

Finally, as long as one or two streamers emerged from this event, they could say the event was held very successfully and satisfactorily, and then continue to use the same trick next time.

And in such an event, 99% of the streamers would never be seen.

Pili was new to the industry and didn't know much about the internet streaming business; by the time she realized it, it was already too late.

So, the team assignment issue was just an opening. The other party had been watertight in the contract, except for the team assignment, which they hadn't fulfilled. Pili seized this only breach of contract and decided she wouldn't play with them anymore!

"Let's stop with this nonsense. You breached the contract first. According to the contract terms, I have the right to terminate the contract. I want to terminate!"

Pili said expressionlessly. Looking at her state, it was clear she had been prepared for a long time.

Even Gu Lianxing and Shen Ci were stunned for a moment, because before coming here, Pili had never mentioned wanting to terminate the contract. They had just assumed Pili wanted a professional team, which was indeed what she had always wanted.

"Terminate the contract?"

Li Chuang's expression finally changed slightly, and the smile on his face faded by seventy percent: "I'm afraid that won't do..."

"Why won't it do?" Pili frowned: "You breached the contract, and I can't even terminate it?"

Lianxing also said: "Exactly, are we sold to you or what?"

Li Chuang smiled and shook his head: "We aren't a human trafficking company. It's just that the contract terms clearly state: 'The company promises that matters will be arranged and followed up according to the actual situation of the company, but they will definitely be fully fulfilled.'"

"What does that mean?"

"It means the company's current actual situation cannot fulfill the team configuration for Miss Pili immediately. You need to wait patiently, but the things the company promised will definitely be fulfilled."

"In other words, the breach of contract fact you all are claiming does not exist!"

Shen Ci's expression turned stern upon hearing this: "What a word game. A short sentence can extend the deadline indefinitely. Even if you don't fulfill it for a year or two, you can completely use this inconspicuous note to act like a rascal. You really deserve to be a big company; the tricks for bullying people are both low-level and effective!"

Facing Shen Ci's mockery, Li Chuang remained unmoved and replied calmly: "The company cannot predict many sudden real-world situations. This clause is just to avoid situations like today. Otherwise, there wouldn't just be a few of you sitting here. If everyone held onto the company's mistakes to demand termination, how could our company continue to operate?"

As he spoke, he raised an eyebrow at Shen Ci, his tone filled with undisguised, high-and-mighty smugness: "It's just a self-preservation means for the company. If you think it's a word game, I won't refute it. After all, such things are not isolated cases in big companies."

Seeing him be so arrogant, Gu Lianxing was already so angry that her head was smoking; she wanted to flip the table and hit him on the spot.

But seeing Shen Ci and Pili still sitting there motionless, looking calm, she took a few deep breaths to force herself to calm down.

Damn dog company, hurry up and explode on the spot!
