Chapter 890: Not Liking

The joy on Shen Xing's face couldn't be hidden because he actually quite enjoyed this feeling.

It wasn't the feeling of being recognized by many people; he just purely felt that he was famous and was a bit thrilled.

He put down his shoulder bag and took out the "Summer Tournament" championship trophy: "President, here!"

Seeing that trophy, Guan Rui's eyes lit up instantly.

Because the finals of the Summer Tournament happened to be at the beginning of the summer vacation, "Longcheng University" finally won the championship in the finals, and the trophy had been kept by Shen Xing.

This was the highest honor "Longcheng University" had achieved in the college league for many years.

Because it was the overall championship won on behalf of the school, this trophy definitely had to be kept in the Longcheng University E-sports Club.

And Shen Xing personally also won the honor of "MVP Player", and that trophy was completely his own.

Guan Rui looked at the trophy lovingly, and the smile on her face gradually expanded: "It turns out this trophy only looks heavy. It's light as a feather when held in the hand."

"Shen Xing." Guan Rui raised her head and looked at Shen Xing sincerely: "Congratulations, and thank you."

Shen Xing was stunned: "Thank you for what? We represent the school, so we must go all out. As a part of Longcheng University, winning glory for Longcheng University is everyone's responsibility."

"I didn't say this thank you for the school; I said it for myself." Guan Rui explained: "I'm a senior this year and will graduate next year. I've been the president of the E-sports Club for two years and have experienced eight seasons of the college league. This is the first time I've touched the league trophy, and it's a championship trophy."

"Thank you for your efforts, which made me 'achieve perfection' when I sat in this position at the end."

Guan Rui felt a sense of relief in her heart: "I was really afraid that I would be a president without any contribution, but because of your results this time, I can announce my resignation without any scruples."

"Are you quitting the E-sports Club? Isn't there still a year left?" Shen Xing asked in shock.

Guan Rui nodded: "If we hadn't achieved results, I might have worked hard for another year. But now I can safely quit. In the last year, I want to plan my future plans well. Whether I'm looking for a job after graduation or taking the postgraduate entrance examination, I haven't thought about it yet."

"But you don't have to worry. Before the registration for the Autumn Tournament begins, a new president will take office and will also be responsible for your future tournament matters."

After saying this, Guan Rui took a thick envelope from the drawer: "This is the school's bonus. You are the champions this time, so the bonus is very generous."

Shen Xing reached out to take it, hesitated, and then said: "President, actually... there's something I also want to tell you."

"What's wrong?" Guan Rui carefully placed the trophy in the middle of the display cabinet while turning her head to ask him.

Shen Xing actually found it a bit difficult to speak, but this matter had to be told because it could no longer be changed.

He took a deep breath and said: "We... we can't represent the school in the college league anymore."

"Ah?" Guan Rui was startled: "Why?"

"We decided to sign with the 'Longcheng B-Star' club, sign with Coach Haichang, and will actively prepare for the next youth training tournament."

This news was a bit unexpected for Guan Rui. She tried hard to calm down and asked softly: "Then can't you have both? With your strength, you can continue to dominate the college league and bring back more championship trophies."

Guan Rui's starting point was good. It was a pity to give up the honor that was within reach.

Shen Xing shook his head: "No, Senior Sister Yu Qian no longer has the qualifications to continue participating in the college league this year. She graduated."

"So if we still want to participate in the college league, we need to find a new teammate, but the training intensity will have to double. Because although only one person is different, it is actually two teams, which will delay a lot of time."

"President, you must also know the gold content and difficulty of the youth training tournament. We must be single-minded."

Guan Rui fell into a short silence. Although she was about to resign as president, she had deep feelings for the E-sports Club and was naturally reluctant to see such a strong team as Shen Xing's announce their withdrawal after only one season. ===== CHAPTER 891 =====
