Chapter 12: Complete Body Susanoo

~6 min read 1,128 words

Lu Wujiu barely dodged the long tail of the Mingyanjue , his peripheral vision catching the feathers hurtling toward him—he twisted his body Qiangxing , blocking with the side of his long blade.

Shen Wenru, seeing this, curled his lips into a cruel smile, Ningju three refined black blades at his fingertips, launching them toward Lu Wujiu’s back during the moment of his guard.

The black blades, wrapped in thick black-purple spiritual energy, sliced through the air silently, moving so fast they left afterimages.

Lu Wujiu had just deflected the last black feather when a bone-chilling coldness struck his lower back.

“Puch!” All three black blades pierced his lower back. “Ugh!” Lu Wujiu groaned, spewing a jet of black blood that soaked his black combat suit as he flew backward toward Jiang Xia.

Jiang Xia’s pupils contracted—he hesitated not a moment, gritted his teeth, and activated the Eight Gates’ “Rest Gate!” Spiritual energy surged around him as he shot forward, catching Lu Wujiu’s back just before he hit the ground.

Seeing Lu Wujiu’s weakened state, Jiang Xia immediately exchanged all his system points for rations and fed them to him.

Lu Wujiu swallowed the rations; the tight pain in his chest eased slightly, but the metallic sweetness in his throat persisted—he stood, leaning on his blade, shielding Jiang Xia behind him.

Gazing at Shen Wenru laughing wildly on the altar, and at the approaching Mingyanjue and Heiyugupeng , he rasped: “How long until the secret realm opens?”

Jiang Xia was about to answer when Heiyugupeng let out a piercing screech, spreading its wings to blot out the sky—dozens of black feather-blades rained down like a storm.

Lu Wujiu shoved Jiang Xia aside, swinging his blade in a golden arc that shattered every feather. But the movement tore open his back wound again; black-purple spiritual energy spread through the gash, turning his face even paler.

Jiang Xia watched Lu Wujiu rise, his nails digging into his palms, his eyes filled with a ruthlessness he’d never shown before. “Commander Lu, I have a way to deal with those two beasts—can Itachi handle Shen Wenru?”

Lu Wujiu froze, voice hoarse: “He’s injured too—shouldn’t be a problem. But what are Itachi planning?”

Hearing Lu Wujiu’s reply, Jiang Xia made no further hesitation—he summoned his system. “System! Use Complete Body Susanoo Trial Card!”

【Ding~ Complete Body Susanoo Trial Card successfully activated】

【Countdown: Five Minutes】

As the system chime faded, Jiang Xia’s body erupted with towering spiritual energy—deep blue energy solidified behind him, forming a colossal giant tens of zhang tall.

The giant wore armor, wielding a long blade wrapped in spiritual energy; the pressure radiating from it made the approaching Mingyanjue and Heiyugupeng instinctively halt, fear flickering in their eyes.

“This is...” Lu Wujiu stared at the deep blue giant, eyes wide with shock—he could clearly feel the terrifying pressure within it, no weaker than a Catastrophic-level beast, even rivaling a Destruction-level one!

The other examinees and Night Watchers fighting nearby gaped, mouths agape.

Outside the secret realm, school heads watched this scene—their communication devices slipped from their hands, clattering to the floor unnoticed; their tense expressions shattered into utter astonishment.

Jiang Xia had no time to explain—he commanded the Complete Body Susanoo to step forward. Each heavy footfall shook the ground around the altar.

His gaze locked on the Mingyanjue —he directed the Susanoo to raise its blade, the steel wrapped in deep blue chakra, slashing down toward the beast’s skull.

The Mingyanjue reacted instantly, whipping its tail with a sonic boom toward the Susanoo. But the blade moved faster—“Dang!” It struck the beast’s shell, not leaving a shallow mark this time, but carving a deep, bone-exposing wound, spraying blood.

The beast roared in pain, slamming its tail into the Susanoo’s armor—only ripples spread across the surface; no damage was done.

Seeing its companion hurt, the Heiyugupeng flapped its wings, launching countless black feather-blades like a storm at the Susanoo.

Jiang Xia’s eyes hardened—he directed the Susanoo to hold its blade horizontally, forming a blue barrier. The feather-blades struck it and bounced off, leaving not a single scratch.

“Impossible! What kind of monster is this!” Shen Wenru on the altar paled—his wild laughter froze on his face.

He hadn’t expected Jiang Xia to hide such a trump card. The appearance of the deep blue giant had shattered his entire plan.

Lu Wujiu seized this fleeting opportunity, suppressing the agony in his back, pouring golden spiritual energy back into his blade—he flashed forward toward Shen Wenru. “Shen Wenru, your opponent is me!”

Shen Wenru snapped back to reality, seeing Lu Wujiu charging—he hastily condensed black-purple spiritual energy into a barrier.

But Lu Wujiu was now fighting with no retreat—golden blade-light tore through the air, shattering the barrier instantly, the momentum unbroken as it slashed toward Shen Wenru.

At the critical moment, a giant hand burst from a fissure, blocking Lu Wujiu’s attack and dragging Shen Wenru away—then sealed the rift shut.

Lu Wujiu stared grimly at the lingering aura in the air, murmuring: “Xuan Ye. After twenty years, Itachi’ve struck again!”

Beside him, Jiang Xia turned the Susanoo, its blade pointing at the Heiyugupeng , while gathering spiritual energy to form a bow in the giant’s other hand.

The Susanoo drew the bowstring taut—a deep blue arrowhead coalesced, then shot toward the Heiyugupeng .

The Heiyugupeng tried to dodge, but the arrow was too fast—it had no time to react. “Puch!” The arrow pierced its wing, pinning it to a distant stone pillar.

The Heiyugupeng let out a shrill, agonized screech, flapping its wings desperately—but could not break free from the arrow’s hold.

With the Heiyugupeng dealt with, Jiang Xia immediately turned the Susanoo toward the Mingyanjue , which was now enraged by its companion’s capture.

It repeatedly slammed its head into the Susanoo’s armor. Jiang Xia’s eyes turned cold—he directed the Susanoo to raise its blade and strike again, directly into the gaping wound.

The blade came down, splitting the Mingyanjue ’s shell completely open—black-green blood gushed from the deep, bone-exposing wound.

The beast convulsed a few times, its massive body crashing to the ground, life extinguished.

Jiang Xia slowly turned the giant, his gaze settling on the Heiyugupeng still struggling on the stone pillar.

Before the Heiyugupeng could scream again, the Susanoo raised its arm—deep blue spiritual energy condensed into a short spear in its palm.

At Jiang Xia’s thought, the spear shot forward, piercing the Heiyugupeng ’s skull with perfect accuracy.

The agonized cry cut off abruptly—the Heiyugupeng ’s body stiffened, its wings drooping uselessly, life gone.

Seeing this, the audience on the stands exhaled in relief—Su Changfeng’s eyes fixed on the screen’s Susanoo, his tense nerves finally calming.

His knuckles, white from gripping the railing too tightly, slowly relaxed.
