Chapter 25

Especially the HP—an ordinary level-7 mob has as much as 499 HP, and it's an agility-type monster to boot.

No wonder many professionals team up to grind levels; soloing is basically delivering yourself to their doorstep!

Luo Chenyu, however, was feeling a bit unsatisfied at this moment.

The monsters in the wild were far too few—nowhere near enough to meet his requirement for grouped mobs.

"A husky delivered right to my door—if I don't hit it, that'd be disrespectful to it."

Luo Chenyu muttered, charged toward the husky in the distance, and swung his sword with a single strike.

He wanted to test the strength of a basic attack.

The Demonized Jungle Wolf was no pushover either; relying on its high agility, it easily dodged Luo Chenyu's novice sword.

Luo Chenyu's first strike missed, but he had no thought of giving up.

He turned and delivered another sword strike.

However, that strike missed too, and what greeted him was the cold glint of a wolf fang.

The Demonized Jungle Wolf gaped its bloody maw, lunging in to bite at Luo Chenyu's neck.

Crack!!

The sharp wolf fang was blocked by 【Steel Shield】, and the sound of shattering rang out.

What shattered was not the shield, but the Demonized Jungle Wolf's fang.

"Awoo~"

The wolf's howl echoed through the mountains and forest, followed by countless howls rising one after another, startling countless birds into flight within the woods.

It had lost its sharpest weapon and, left with no choice, could only summon its companions.

"Good boy!"

Luo Chenyu lavished praise on the Demonized Jungle Wolf's behavior—summoning friends and brothers to meet at the Yellow Springs.

He wasn't in a hurry to use shield bombardment either, continuing instead to train his basic attacks.

One strike, then another, and another.

Although every strike was dodged by the Demonized Jungle Wolf, Luo Chenyu was happy doing it, attacking with relish.

His unknown golden finger destined that, in the future, offensive skills would likely never be plentiful.

The 10-second cooldown of 【Steel Shield】 could easily let him down at critical moments.

Therefore, he could only rely on basic attacks to make up for the shortfall.

"Work hard when young, or you'll only weep when old"—he still understood this principle.

But this situation didn't last long.

The wolf howls drew closer and closer.

One Demonized Jungle Wolf after another emerged from the dense forest, their ferocious eyes fixed dead on the burly professional not far away.

"Awoo!!"

The alpha wolf howled at the sky, and over twenty of its underlings swarmed forward in a rush.

"I've been waiting for you!"

Luo Chenyu revealed a cruel smile and, without hesitation, detonated 【Steel Shield】.
