Chapter 790: Forbidden Trial, First Tier: Thunder Punishment!

At this moment, in the Wildwood Forest.

Luo Chenyu, of course, had no idea that two other old coins were searching for news of the Shadow Realm.

His current goal was simple.

First, go find the Moon Spirit Roar, notify it to prepare to take over the entire Wildwood Forest, and if it encounters resistance it cannot overcome, then contact Zhang Yue and the others.

Of course…

There was another matter.

That path to finding it and coming to Blue Star would be needed later.

Not long after a few minutes.

Luo Chenyu found the Moon Spirit Roar atop a mountain peak.

After some conversation, Luo Chenyu considered it, then handed it an artifact imbued with his divine awareness, before setting off again.

"Long time no see, Forbidden Trial!"

After all this delay, Luo Chenyu finally decided to begin his path to becoming stronger.

Now…

His level, attributes, and equipment had nearly reached their limits; if he wanted to further enhance his strength,

there were only two paths.

One was to enter the 【Eternal Arena】, the other was to learn more skills and trigger their transformation.

But…

Neither path could avoid the Forbidden Trial.

Only by successfully breaking through the Forbidden could his path ahead grow wider, rather than remain constrained as it was now.

"Prompt: Are you certain you wish to participate in the Forbidden Trial? Once initiated, it cannot be exited."

"Prompt: Failure in this trial will result in severe punishment, and permanent inability to break through Tier 9's constraints."

Luo Chenyu smiled faintly; without this strength, without this courage, he would never have chosen the Forbidden path.

"Confirmed!"

Immediately, Luo Chenyu's figure vanished into the Wildwood Forest.

Boom!

Boom!

Lei Ming roared; thunder and lightning blazed across the sky.

Luo Chenyu reappeared, only to find himself in a world of lightning.

Majestic, yet oppressive.

At that very moment, a prompt appeared before Luo Chenyu.

【Special Forbidden Trial · Nine Heavens Palace】

First Tier: Thunder Punishment

Trial Requirement: Survive for thirty minutes within the Infinite Lei Chi; maintain above 30% health at the end, or fail.

Trial Reward: Unlock the next tier of trial.

…

"Where is the Lei Chi?"

As Luo Chenyu wondered,

Boom boom boom…

Endless lightning began to converge before his eyes!!

A purple (dadb) Lei Chi suddenly appeared, truly resembling the legendary small pool.

But…

The energy contained within was utterly terrifying.

Before him, a countdown had already appeared—the countdown to entering the Lei Chi.

Once he entered the Lei Chi, the first tier's trial would officially begin.

"Interesting!!"

Luo Chenyu smiled, "I hope this Lei Chi brings some excitement to my dull life."

Plop…

Luo Chenyu leapt without hesitation into the Thunder Pool.

Instantly,

Countless bolts of lightning surrounded him; a tingling numbness spread through his entire body.

-100000!

-100000!

-100000!

Immune to paralysis!

Immune to burning!

…

One damage after another, one immunity after another…

All highlighted the terror of the Lei Chi—and Luo Chenyu's immense strength.

Every second, dozens of damages appeared, yet none could outpace Luo Chenyu's health regeneration speed.

As time passed.

More than two minutes had passed, and Luo Chenyu's health remained at full value.

There was no change whatsoever.

But…

To Luo Chenyu's surprise, the shield value of his 【Steel Shield】 was steadily increasing.

Every second, it rose in sync with the damage dealt by Lei Chi.

This was…

Damage reflected by the rebound ability?
