Chapter 1060: Black Crystal Town (1)
Mo Ming's voice sounded in his ear.
The tone was still gentle, and Zhao Chi still found it very awkward to listen to.
Mo Ming 【Zhao Chi, we're almost at Dark Night City. If you have time now, come out. There'll be inspection and registration before entering the city, and you'll need to be there in person.】
Zhao Chi 【Understood, Captain Mo. I'll head out right away.】
After explaining the situation to Gu Qing, Zhao Chi teleported out immediately.
The scenery shifted.
Zhao Chi returned once more to that dark environment.
He stood on his own cart, with eight barrels of fire oil by his legs, four soldiers sitting beside him. The package that had been placed here earlier had already been taken away.
Two strangers sat in the driver's seat of the cart, driving it—he didn't know whether they were lords or heroes.
Mo Ming and Tie Shan were both on the cart up ahead.
Now the entire caravan had deployed into formation: the caravan itself was at the very center, the personnel responsible for casting formations were a bit further out, and the cavalry carrying light orbs were on the outermost ring.
Although the surroundings were still dark, there were many pinpricks of light.
One could tell that some were the orange-red glow of torches, some were the cool, cold-white light of spirit-energy lamps, and quite a few were the glow of Light Orb techniques.
Those distant lights all came from other people.
Caravans were everywhere.
There were plenty moving in the same direction as well as in the opposite direction.
Everyone was advancing on the same extremely vast plain.
With so many caravans around now, but looking at Tie Shan and Mo Ming's expressions, they seemed even more relaxed.
Mo Ming seemed to sense something and turned his head to see Zhao Chi.
He smiled and said, "Zhao Chi, you're out? We've got a little over ten minutes before we enter Dark Night City's range. Have a seat for now."
"Oh, alright."
Zhao Chi sat down next to the soldier beside him and looked at the situation around them.
He hadn't noticed it earlier, but after sitting down Zhao Chi realized there were many flying creatures in the sky.
The ones Zhao Chi could recognize included griffins, manticores, gargoyles, harpies, dragonhawks, bat-people… and so on.
The numbers weren't great, but there were quite a variety.
As the surrounding caravans departed or approached, those flying creatures also kept flying back and forth.
The ground wasn't calm either.
One could often see the ground constantly churning, presumably with creatures following along beneath.
Pangolins? Earth dragons? Rat-people?
The situation underground couldn't be seen with the eyes, so Zhao Chi had no way to guess.
