Chapter 1214: Target: Copper Rock Town (13)

The captive sullenly pulled his hand back.

"Let go, you wretched woman."

Zhuang Ya's brow furrowed.

She swung a slap across.

Smack!

"Behave yourself! One more word and I'll skin you alive!"

The captive was stunned by the blow.

After all, Zhuang Ya also had 6 points of Strength.

Her palm looked fair and tender, but her strength was as great as a beastman's.

The blow left his head ringing.

"Just kill me! If I die, I die!"

The captive still refused to submit.

Zhuang Ya frowned and her right hand lashed out fiercely.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

She slapped him ten times in a row.

He howled in pain.

His obedience immediately rose by 1 point.

When Zhuang Ya yanked his hand again, he no longer resisted.

Zhuang Ya glared at him once more.

Then she switched to a gentle, lovely face and said softly to Zhao Chi, "Alright, my lord, it's done."

Zhao Chi laughed. "Not bad, Zhuang Ya. Looks like you're fully capable in your current job. Qiyue, come here."

Qiyue stepped closer with a light smile and once more extended her small hand, placing it beside the captive's palm.

Zhuang Ya said, "Qiyue, help me hold his hand. You're strong—he won't be able to break free from you."

Qiyue nodded and her other hand firmly gripped the captive's hand.

Zhuang Ya spread two fingers apart.

Fwoosh~ fwoosh~

Two finger-thick jets of flame shot out.

"Aaah, hot, hot, hot—!!"

The captive's body jolted from the burn as he tried to break free.

But Qiyue held his hand in a death grip. He thrashed and twisted his whole body, yet his arm was pinned as if fixed in place—he couldn't move it at all.

Qiyue also frowned slightly; after all, it wasn't without injury, and it still hurt a bit.

The two jets of flame sprayed onto both palms.

The skin on the captive's palms was instantly scorched dry, turning a pale yellow, leathery color, and then quickly burned black.

Meanwhile, Qiyue's palms were only in the process of drying.

The contrast between the two hands was stark.

"Stop burning me! I was wrong, I beg you!!"

His obedience rose by another 1 point.

Zhuang Ya stopped the flames.

The objective had been achieved.

This "Flame Creature" gene was indeed remarkably effective.

Perhaps later she could even use this gene to take down a fire dragon by force…

This captive already had 3 points of obedience; one more point and he could be sent to Chaoge Village to till the land.

After having Zhuang Ya take the captive back, Zhao Chi continued checking the next gene.

【Gene】 Scorching Body

【Source】 Flame Lord

【Type】 Individual Gene

【Cost】 20 Improvement Points

【Match】 25%

【Effect】 Can absorb and use flames within a 10-meter radius, and is immune to one's own flames.

Wow! Not bad.

This is absolutely perfect for Zhuang Ya.

Right now only her hands are immune to her own flames; with this gene, her whole body would be immune.

But only to her own fire.

And she can also absorb flames within a 10-meter radius for her own use?

That's even better.

Have her carry some fire oil on her, scatter it on the ground in battle, then ignite it.

She could absorb and release fire at the same time?

It might really work!

Let her try it later.

20 Improvement Points is no small cost, but the match rate is actually 25 points?

Logically speaking, it should also be 0%.

Could it be related to their improved "Fire Creature" genes?

Once again consuming 28 improvement points. Improve!

【You have chosen "Scorching Body" improvement for your subordinate Zhuang Ya, which requires 20 improvement points with a 100% success rate. Confirm?】
