Chapter 1263: Awards Ceremony (3)

Su Qin held the medal high.

Xiang Yuan and the others below the stage were equally thrilled.

Geng Zhan kept blurting "WTF" nonstop.

He really was a bit blunt and honest.

Zhao Chi turned his head and saw Geng Zhan staring at Ye Kai and the others diagonally behind him.

So he was deliberately provoking them…

Ye Kai and the others turned a deaf ear.

Like stone statues, they sat ramrod-straight, faces stiff, refusing to look at Geng Zhan.

Soon, Su Qin came back beaming.

As she passed the seats, everyone congratulated her, and she smiled and responded to each in turn.

Then she plopped right back into her seat.

She then distributed the five medals to everyone.

They were bronze medals.

The craftsmanship was exquisite, with the date of award and lettering marked on them.

Several people gazed at the medals without blinking.

Geng Zhan tossed his straight up into the air.

After all, it was an awards ceremony, not a solemn occasion.

Everyone was free to express their joy.

But no matter how Geng Zhan provoked them, Ye Kai and the others, though their faces turned livid, still refused to look at him.

This instead made Geng Zhan a bit anxious.

It was hard to tell who was more annoyed right now.

Right after, the host read out the names of the second batch of teams to be commended.

This time, the Stream Squad was included.

One could see the three families of Stream Village were all very happy, and quite a few people stood up excitedly.

The one from the Stream Squad who went up to receive the award was Qi Hengying — it seemed he was the squad leader of Stream Village.

Then Zhao Shizhang would be the vice squad leader.

After all, the Qi family's strength was considerably greater than the Zhao family's, which was understandable.

Because the Stream Squad was one of the first teams to attack Bronze Rock Town, forcing the town's formation to activate, playing the role of Vanguard Commander, they received the "Collective Second-Class Honor Medal" and "200 Contribution Points."

Right after, the host Lu Zhan said: "Good, next is the Best Combat Commendation. Please invite the person in charge of the Jade Squad to come up to the stage."

Amid applause, Li Ruanyu walked up again.

Lu Zhan said:

"In this battle, the Jade Squad fought three consecutive engagements.

"First, they defeated the enemy reinforcements coming from Green Fish Village.

"Then they urgently rushed to reinforce Bronze Rock Town, greatly aiding our Vanguard Commander forces who were at a disadvantage, allowing us to take Bronze Rock Town smoothly with relatively light losses."

"Finally, after fighting two consecutive battles, the Jade Squad once again came to the aid of our friendly squad that had been held up by the enemy, securing another great victory."

"Therefore, after evaluation, we have decided to award the Jade Squad the 'Collective First-Class Honor Medal' and '300 Contribution Points.'"

In an instant.

Everyone around Zhao Chi stood up.

Waves of cheers erupted.

After all, everyone around was from the Jade Squad.

Su Qin and the others happily jumped up again.

Geng Zhan let out roar after roar.

Zhao Chi had no choice but to stand up as well.

After all, he was the only one sitting, and he didn't want to stand out too much.

But he could also understand everyone's excitement, because Contribution Points were very useful — they could roughly be understood as the "gold coins" issued by the World-Breaking Army.

They could be used to redeem items.

They were redeemed directly at the World-Breaking Army's Quartermaster Office, where some items unavailable at trading posts could also be obtained.

The commemorative medals were only for remembrance, but these Contribution Points were the real, tangible benefit.
