Chapter 136: The Test Begins

Gu Qing listened to Zhao Chi's words and agreed wholeheartedly.

"Exactly, my lord, the safer you are the better. Lift your leg."

Zhao Chi lifted his leg and cooperated as they put on leather greaves: "You've all put on your stockings, right?"

Gu Qing laughed and said: "Of course we did. Silky smooth, pretty and practical—everyone's so happy. Turn around now and thank my lord quickly."

All twenty female soldiers turned around and said sweetly: "Thank you, my lord."

Zhao Chi was completely dumbfounded.

He felt his heart being scratched by twenty little cats.

He had the feeling of having walked into a shady parlor.

He hurriedly said: "Just speak in your normal voice, don't learn this from Gu Qing. Gu Qing, don't teach them this kind of thing all day long."

Gu Qing laughed and said: "My lord misunderstands. Their natural speaking voices are already like this; it's just that everyone's very happy, so what they said just now was extra gentle. Tang Ruan, right?"

Tang Ruan nodded: "Yes, my lord."

Zhao Chi thought about it, and it did seem to be the case.

He looked at their legs again.

The female militia wore leather greaves on their legs and leather boots on their feet—he couldn't see anything at all.

Gu Qing said: "Everyone switch to fashion mode, let my lord have a proper look at the effect."

"Yes!"

The female militia answered in unison.

In an instant, the equipment on the twenty female soldiers vanished.

They all stood before him completely bare.

However, they used their shields to block the vital areas.

Zhao Chi could only see pairs of smooth, slender, fair legs.

On those twenty legs, they all wore pale, translucent stockings, refracting a delicate, dewy sheen.

Zhao Chi hurriedly checked the time.

A little past 9:50.

"Switch back quickly, around ten o'clock instructors might enter observation mode…"

Zhao Chi's words broke off.

Because he saw Gu Qing beside him being even more direct.

Blocking nothing at all, generously letting Zhao Chi see the full picture.

Pretty it was, but now was not the time.

"Switch back quickly!"

All the female militia switched back.

Gu Qing also switched back to equipment mode with a grin.

Tang Ruan asked with slightly flushed cheeks: "My lord, are there other people watching us?"

Zhao Chi checked the system.

No, no instructor had entered observation mode yet.

He breathed a sigh of relief and said: "Yes, during the entire test, all of you pay attention—especially you, Gu Qing, don't just strip whenever you feel like it!"

"Yes!" the female soldiers answered earnestly.

"Got it." Gu Qing said softly.

Zhao Chi asked: "Has everyone eaten their fill?

Gu Qing nodded: "We just ate, everyone's eaten full, and we've been resting until now, all of us saving up our stamina."

"That's good. Everyone line up, next we'll distribute the medicines."

Medicines?

The women looked at each other, not knowing what it meant.

Zhao Chi opened the 【Self-Selected Medicine Chest】.

The data had already been transferred last time, so he could use it directly this time.

【Please select 3 types of medicines; duplicates allowed】

Zhao Chi chose Life Pills twice and Spiritual Power Pills once.

He clicked confirm.

【You have obtained items】:

【Advanced Life Pill】 ×100

【Advanced Life Pill】 ×100

【Advanced Spiritual Power Pill】 ×100

In an instant, three cloth bags appeared in his system space.

Each cloth bag contained 100 grape-sized pills.

Two bags of red pills were Advanced Life Pills.

One bag of blue pills was Advanced Spiritual Power Pills.

"Gu Qing, Tang Ruan, these two bags are both Advanced Life Pills—distribute them among everyone. Craftsmen get 2 each, militia get 3 each."

"Wow—"

All the women let out exclamations of wonder.

Clearly, this kind of advanced medicine was the first time they had ever seen it; it felt extremely high-end.

Tang Ruan held the cloth pouch in both hands and carefully went off to distribute them.

Gu Qing picked up a pill and sniffed it: "Wow, what a strong medicinal scent. If only I could learn how to make these — too bad it's too difficult, I'd probably have to study for a long time."

After saying that, she also picked up the medicine pouch and went to distribute them.

The female soldiers all carefully tucked them away on their persons.

Twenty pills were left, ten each for Zhao Chi and Gu Qing.

Besides eating them themselves, they could also support others with them at any time.

"Gu Qing, there are still twenty high-grade spiritual power pills — they're for you."

Gu Qing said in surprise: "My lord, did you strike it rich out there? How are they all high-grade medicine? They're so high-grade I can't bear to eat them."

Zhao Chi laughed: "They all came from opening treasure chests. Go ahead and eat them, don't skimp. I still have eighty more — if it's not enough, I'll give you more."

Gu Qing nodded: "That's plenty. This way, I can use healing spiritual techniques with even more peace of mind."

At this moment, the system issued a prompt:

【Chief Instructor Zhang Shouning has entered Reconnaissance Mode】

They're coming!

Zhao Chi clearly sensed a gaze looking his way.

He looked up again — still blue sky and white clouds, nothing else to be seen.

Zhang Shouning was the chief instructor of Class 10, and this time also oversaw Zhao Chi's area.

【Chief Instructor You Shengjun, Chief Instructor Li Ruanyu, Instructor Song Ping have entered Reconnaissance Mode】

【Chief Instructor Qi Yue Chong, Instructor Yue Rong, Instructor Xiao Ma have entered Reconnaissance Mode】

Soon, the other six instructors had all arrived as well.

A few more gazes shot down, and Zhao Chi felt a bit uncomfortable.

The time had now reached ten o'clock, with half an hour remaining.

A notification came from the system:

【The first wave of magical beasts will be teleported in 30 minutes. Teleportation location: the Misty Wall of the North — "Coordinates"】
