Chapter 144

Gu Qing smiled: "Understood."

Tang Ruan warned: "Careful, all the harpies are diving down."

In the sky, the remaining 24 harpies saw the gruesome fate of their companions and grew somewhat furious.

"Kill kill caw kill!"

"Humans scattered, charge together caw!"

"Caw caw together, caw!"

The harpies circling in the air all dove down.

Zhao Chi shouted loudly: "The nearby trees will interfere with their dive; everyone back up against the trees, defend and counterattack!"

"Understood!"

The female soldiers all gathered by the nearby large trees, staring up.

The lush leaves hindered the harpies' dive.

Earlier, to lure them down, they had to stand in relatively open ground; now that the harpies were enraged, they could fall back a step.

Swish swish swish swish!

Swish swish swish swish!

From all directions.

The 24 harpies dove down in fury.

In an instant, piercing metallic scratching sounds rang out everywhere.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The female soldiers were knocked slightly bent by the powerful impact.

But after the collision, the harpies' speed also dropped sharply.

They all flapped their wings trying to fly away with the momentum.

Not a chance.

"Now, throw!"

Zhao Chi gave the order loudly.

All the women threw their wooden spears at the same time.

77 wooden spears wove together in the air.

"We shoot too!" Hunter Yang Lu ordered at the same time.

5 arrows flew out, shooting toward the sky through the gaps between the wooden spears.

Just a few seconds.

Blood, feathers, and screams—everywhere.

Plop, whoosh, plop plop plop!

One harpy after another hit the ground.

"Tie them up!"

Without needing Zhao Chi's order, the female soldiers and female craftsmen all rushed up and bound them in a flurry of hands.

Suddenly, faint glows appeared on the women's dewy skin.

Leveled up!

Everyone leveled up.

Zhao Chi also advanced to level 4.

The system sent a prompt:

【Third Trial Passed】

【Defeated】 30 Harpies

【Time Used】 5 min 17 sec

【Score】 68 points

【Total Score】 163 points

【Ranking】 39th

Smoothly cleared, this time the ranking rose again, reaching 39th.

"My lord, these three are too heavily wounded, they're about to die—still save them?"

Gu Qing pointed at the 3 under the tree.

Zhao Chi nodded: "Don't use skills, use my beginner pills to feed them."

Last time opening a treasure chest, Zhao Chi had obtained 5 bottles of beginner life potions and 5 bottles of beginner life pills.

Now he already had 200 advanced life pills, so these beginner ones could be used on them.

After all, harpies weren't cheap—at least higher priced than goblins.

Moreover, Zhao Chi could also choose not to sell them, slowly taming them completely.

Afterward they could patrol and keep watch in the air, much better than those two earth dogs.

This time 16 were killed and 14 captured.

Unlike goblins, they had to be struck with full force during their brief rage, killed immediately.

Otherwise once they calmed down and realized they were at a disadvantage, they would flee.

By then catching them would be difficult.

Zhao Chi already was very satisfied with capturing 14 this time.

"Everyone pick up the wooden spears and bring them to Li Zhu's side for repair." Gu Qing gave the order.

"Everyone, just set them down on the ground here." Li Zhu.

Tang Ruan led the female soldiers to pick up the wooden spears.

Although wooden spears are weapons,

after attacking, the spearheads quickly dull, and attack power drops sharply, requiring timely maintenance.

Zhao Chi added points for everyone.

Still as usual.

The female soldiers enhanced defense, the female craftsmen enhanced efficiency, the female hunters enhanced movement speed.

"Good. Is anyone hurt?" Zhao Chi asked.

All the women shook their heads.

Gu Qing said: "Only some of the iron-skin shields were damaged, and some of the female soldiers' leather armor was scratched with claw marks, but no one was hurt."

Zhao Chi nodded: "That's good. These magical beasts are getting stronger and stronger. I reckon our guess wasn't wrong—the next batch of enemies should be forty. Everyone rest up now; there's still fighting ahead."

All the women sat down to recover their stamina.

Except for Li Zhu and her ten carpenters.
