Chapter 195: Awarding the Prizes

Examination space.

The instructors were rapidly reviewing the test results.

The disputed ones were filtered out and put to a vote by the ten chief instructors plus the grade chief instructor—eleven people in total.

The minority yields to the majority.

The grade chief instructor, You Shengjun, said:

"Good, then only the last disputed point remains… it's about Zhao Chi from Class 4.

"Zhao Chi obtained the Shi Laimu race bloodline in a thrilling way during the final stage.

"But at that time Instructor Li Ruanyu had already descended, and according to the rules the magical beast had to be killed immediately.

"Yet Instructor Li Ruanyu waited on site for five seconds, and only struck to kill the Shi Laimu after Zhao Chi had fully obtained the Shi Laimu bloodline.

"This conduct violates the examination regulations and is suspected of providing the student with extra confidence and assisting the student in scoring.

"According to the rules, Zhao Chi should have the corresponding points deducted—ten points.

"In that case, his ranking would drop to second place, and the final first place should be Zhou Lue from Class 9."

"Mm… alright, that's the disputed point. Instructor Li, you may state your opinion."

Li Ruanyu looked helplessly at Li Yin, the chief instructor of Class 9.

Li Yin spread his hands: "Don't look at me, I wasn't the one who submitted this disputed point."

All these were submitted anonymously.

Besides the chief instructors, there were also many ordinary instructors on site, all assisting in the review.

Li Ruanyu nodded:

"Everyone should have just watched the battle replay.

"At that time Zhao Chi was completely inside the Emperor Shi Laimu's body, in danger of suffocating at any moment.

"According to the rules, I immediately entered his territory to rescue him.

"But after I entered, I saw Zhao Chi still had a very strong will to fight—he was using a Flame Curse talisman obtained from a beginner's treasure chest to blast away inside the Shi Laimu.

"I judged that his goal was the Shi Laimu bloodline.

"And although he was in danger at the time, it had not yet reached the point of suffocation, so I also, according to the rules, did not interfere with the student's actions.

"It was only when Zhao Chi burst out of the Shi Laimu's body that the Shi Laimu was about to launch a powerful attack, so I struck at that very moment.

"Therefore, when I entered, Zhao Chi was not in mortal danger, and I chose to wait.

"After Zhao Chi burst out of the Shi Laimu's body, the Shi Laimu attacked, and I judged that only then was he in mortal danger, so I struck.

"I did wait on site for five seconds, but Zhao Chi only discovered me after bursting out of the Shi Laimu's body.

"I did not provide him with any confidence assistance, so I did not violate the rules—everything was in compliance with the relevant regulations.

"Please review, Grade Chief Instructor."

You Shengjun nodded: "Do any of the other chief instructors have questions?"

The other nine chief instructors all shook their heads.

"Good, then let's vote. Chief instructors who believe Instructor Li's actions complied with the rules and that Zhao Chi's corresponding points should not be deducted, please raise your hands."

You Shengjun raised his hand.

Six other chief instructors raised their hands.

You Shengjun nodded: "A total of seven people agree not to deduct points, so the final disputed point is resolved. The final rankings will not be changed. Alright, let's head back too."

In an instant, the chief instructors' figures vanished, and they all arrived at the great hall.

Dean Liao Zheng said with a smile: "I've been waiting for you for a long time. Everything confirmed?"

You Shengjun nodded to Liao Zheng.

Liao Zheng cleared his throat.

In a resonant voice he said:

"Students, quiet down, please. This test is now completely over, the rankings are fixed, and we will now begin to award the prizes.

"First are the credit rewards for each of you, which have already been sent to every student—please take a look.

"If you have any questions, report to your respective chief instructor first."

All students received a system notification.

Zhao Chi also received one:

【Your credits have increased by 138 points. Current total credits: 220 points】

Zhao Chi calculated briefly. No mistake.

Over the past two years, he had accumulated 82 credits.

This time, first place awarded 100 credits. Passing 8 stages earned a total of 36 credits. There was also the class ranking, which earned 2 credits.

That made 220 credits in total.

This time, Class 4 ranked 9th. Although Zhao Chi's total score was first, his contribution to the class's points was not small.

But unfortunately, the other students' results were all too mediocre.
